The Blendtec Classic 575 with the WildSide+ jar is a full-size blender with five different speed presets and a few automatic blending programs. It's super easy to clean, especially as its Spoonula can get into crevices and pull out any food left behind. It's safe to use for hot blending and comes with a dishwasher-safe jar and lid.

Our Verdict

8.4 Multi-Purpose

The Blendtec 575 is great for multi-purpose use. It can make a very smooth blend with fibrous ingredients, which is important for well-blended smoothies and soups, and it easily crushes ice for drinks like slushies or blended margaritas. It can also hot blend. However, it struggles to make smooth nut butter. It's loud when it's running and not particularly well-built for a premium blender.

Pros
  • Outstandingly easy to clean.
  • Comes with Spoonula for scooping as much as possible from the jar.
  • Well-built design.
Cons
  • Loud and noisy.
  • No individual-use jars.
8.8 Smoothies (Single Serving)

The Blendtec 575 is excellent for single-serve smoothies. It doesn't come with any personal jars for smoothies, but using its main jar, it can blend a silky single-serve smoothie with stubborn elements like kale or blueberries. It can easily crush ice cubes as well. However, it's loud even compared to other full-size blenders.

Pros
  • Outstandingly easy to clean.
  • Comes with Spoonula for scooping as much as possible from the jar.
  • Well-built design.
Cons
  • Loud and noisy.
  • No individual-use jars.
9.7 Smoothies (Multiple Servings)

The Blendtec 575 is fantastic for multiple servings of smoothies. If you fill the main jar to its full capacity, it easily makes a nearly perfectly smooth blend with fibrous smoothie ingredients like leafy greens or blueberries. It easily crushes ice, and it's easy to clean by hand or in your dishwasher. However, it's loud when it's running.

Pros
  • Outstandingly easy to clean.
  • Comes with Spoonula for scooping as much as possible from the jar.
  • Well-built design.
Cons
  • Loud and noisy.
9.6 Ice Crushing

The Blendtec 575 is fantastic for crushing ice. It has a button for pulse mode, so it's not as easy to use as blenders with automatic blending programs, but that might not bother you, and it can crush ice cubes into snow very quickly. It's decently well-built, but the Blendtec Designer 725 feels significantly sturdier.

Pros
  • Well-built design.
Cons
  • Loud and noisy.
9.7 Soups

The Blendtec 575 is fantastic for soups. You can use it to process hot ingredients right from the pot or pan for recipes like soups, sauces, and purees. It makes a very smooth blend with fibrous ingredients, meaning it can produce a silky broccoli soup. It's also very easy to clean. However, it's loud when it's running.

Pros
  • Outstandingly easy to clean.
  • Can blend hot food.
  • Comes with Spoonula for scooping as much as possible from the jar.
  • Well-built design.
Cons
  • Loud and noisy.
7.7 Professional Use

The Blendtec 575 is good for professional use. It's decently well-built, and it includes design features like grippy feet and a Spoonula to help make blending easier. It easily processes fibrous fruits and vegetables in smoothies or soups. It can also hot blend and produces snow-like ice. However, while it can process almonds into nut butter, it produces a crunchy spread. On the upside, it's very easy to clean.

Pros
  • Outstandingly easy to clean.
  • Comes with Spoonula for scooping as much as possible from the jar.
  • Well-built design.
Cons
  • Loud and noisy.
  • 8.4 Multi-Purpose
  • 8.8 Smoothies (Single Serving)
  • 9.7 Smoothies (Multiple Servings)
  • 9.6 Ice Crushing
  • 9.7 Soups
  • 7.7 Professional Use

Differences Between Sizes And Variants

This blender comes in a few different colors: 'Black', 'White', 'Caribbean Blue', and 'Poppy Red'. We tested it in 'Black' and expect our results to be valid for the other colors as well. However, depending on what variant you buy, it comes with different jars: WildSide+, FourSide, or both. Some models also include a 'Spoonula', which is a spatula-like utensil that you can also buy separately from Blendtec's website.

Blendtec Variant Name Jar Blending Capacity Also Included
Classic 575 WildSide+ 36oz
Classic 575 FourSide Jar 32oz
Classic 575 Bundle FourSide and WildSide+ 32oz and 36oz
Classic 575 Bundle WildSide+ 36oz Spoonula

The FourSide jar is an older pitcher design that holds up to 32 oz. Newer models come with the WildSide+ jar, which can hold up to 36 oz and is designed for blending frozen ingredients better and more quickly. The model we tested comes with a WildSide+ Jar and a 'Spoonula'. Your results may vary if you use the FourSide jar, and if your model doesn't come with a 'Spoonula', you may find it more difficult to clean by hand.

If you come across another variant, let us know in the discussions, and we'll update our review.

Compared To Other Blenders

The Blendtec Classic 575 is a full-size blender advertised by Blendtec as a smoothie blender. It processes small and big batches of fibrous ingredients very well and easily handles ice cubes. It can also hot blend. However, like the Blendtec Chef 600 and the Blendtec Designer 725, it's difficult to use for thicker recipes like nut butter or hummus. Some Vitamix models, like the Vitamix A2500 or Vitamix 5200, are better suited for that purpose.

If you're still looking for a blender, check out our lists of the best blenders, the best blenders for smoothies, and the best budget blenders.

The Blendtec Classic 575 is better than the Blendtec Total Blender Classic. Nevertheless, the Classic 575 can produce more spreadable almond butter and can be used for hot blending.

The Blendtec Classic 575 and the NutriBullet Blender Combo have different strengths. The Blendtec's main jar has a bigger capacity and it can crush ice. However, the Blendtec's blunt blade design helps make it easier to clean by hand.

Smeg BLF01

Build Quality

The Blendtec Classic 575 blender is decently well-built, and its blade and motor assembly feel very solid. This variant comes with a 'Spoonula' or a hybrid spoon/spatula, which is designed to easily scoop out food from the uniquely shaped jar without damaging the blades. It also has grippy feet to keep the blender from moving around too much if you're blending something more intense, like nuts or frozen bananas, at high speed.

However, some parts of the blender feel a little cheap like the control panel and the display. The display cover even appears to be peeling off our unit, which doesn't look or feel nice. There's also an exposed circuit board on the underside of the base, which you can see through a vent. If you're looking for a better-built full-size model, try the Vitamix Explorian E520.

It's fantastic for small batches of fibrous ingredients. Even though it only comes with a full-size pitcher, it easily blends small batches of fibrous ingredients like kale for recipes like single-serve smoothies. Some ingredients can splash up the sides of the jar, so you may want to use a spatula to push everything back down into the mix for the best results.

It's poor for making nut butter. It takes a lot of blending time and manipulation of the recipe with a spatula or spoon to get the best results. Even then, it doesn't make smooth nut butter. This blender is amazingly easy to clean. You can easily reach below the blades to get to any remaining pulp or gunk. If you're making something a little messier, like nut butter or soup, the included Spoonula can help you scoop everything out of the jar, making it even easier to clean.
