The Corsair GLAIVE PRO is a great wired gaming mouse. Its unique design has three swappable side panels that give you the choice of a thumb rest, or two different textures of grippy rubber. Its sensor performance is excellent, and it has a low enough click latency that even serious gamers shouldn't notice any delay. Unfortunately, its braided cable is rather stiff and retains kinks from packaging, and the sensor is a little inconsistent.

Our Verdict

6.9 Office/Multimedia

The Corsair GLAIVE PRO is a good mouse for office or multimedia use. You can change its shape and feel by using the three different included side panels, so anyone should be able to get a comfortable grip. It's good for all hand sizes with claw grip, and only extra-large hands will likely have a tough time with palm grip. There are two programmable side buttons, which can help you navigate your work programs quickly, and the mouse feels very well-built.

Pros
  • Low click latency and excellent sensor performance.
  • Well built and comfortable design.
  • Swappable side panels allow you to customize the feel of the mouse.
Cons
  • Stiff and rigid cable.
  • Sensor is a bit inconsistent.
7.9 Video Games (FPS)

The Corsair GLAIVE PRO is a great FPS gaming mouse. Its three different side panels let you customize the grip, and it's comfortable enough for long gaming sessions. It has a very low click latency, and its sensor performance is excellent. It's good for claw grip with any hand size, and only those with very large hands will likely have a problem with palm grip. While you can slightly adjust its weight depending on the attached side panel, this mouse is fairly heavy even with the lightest panel.

Pros
  • Low click latency and excellent sensor performance.
  • Well built and comfortable design.
  • Swappable side panels allow you to customize the feel of the mouse.
Cons
  • Stiff and rigid cable.
  • Sensor is a bit inconsistent.
7.9 Video Games (MMO)

The Corsair GLAIVE PRO is an excellent MMO gaming mouse. It's comfortable enough for long gaming marathons, and it feels very well-made. While it doesn't have nearly as many programmable buttons as dedicated MMO mice, all of its seven buttons can be programmed, which is great. It can be comfortably used with claw grip by any hand size, and only those with very large hands will likely find it uncomfortable with palm grip.

Pros
  • Low click latency and excellent sensor performance.
  • Well built and comfortable design.
  • Swappable side panels allow you to customize the feel of the mouse.
Cons
  • Stiff and rigid cable.
  • Sensor is a bit inconsistent.
7.4 Ultra-Light Gaming

The Corsair GLAIVE PRO isn't recommended for ultra-light gaming. It's a fairly heavy and bulky mouse and isn't nearly as lightweight as mice designed for this purpose.

Pros
  • Low click latency and excellent sensor performance.
  • Well built and comfortable design.
  • Swappable side panels allow you to customize the feel of the mouse.
Cons
  • Stiff and rigid cable.
  • Sensor is a bit inconsistent.
5.1 Travel

Like most wired gaming mice, the Corsair GLAIVE PRO isn't recommended for travel. It's too bulky for most laptop cases, and its wire will be cumbersome when trying to use it on a plane or train.

Pros
  • Low click latency and excellent sensor performance.
  • Well built and comfortable design.
  • Swappable side panels allow you to customize the feel of the mouse.
Cons
  • Stiff and rigid cable.
  • Sensor is a bit inconsistent.

Compared To Other Mice

The Corsair GLAIVE PRO is a great wired gaming mouse with three interchangeable side panels. While most mice with swappable side panels allow you to change the number of buttons, this mouse gives you different grip types so you can get the most comfortable and sturdy fit.

See our recommendations for the best gaming mouse, the best wired gaming mouse, and the best mouse overall.

Logitech G502 HERO

The Corsair GLAIVE PRO and the Logitech G502 HERO are both great wired gaming mice. The Corsair is a bit lighter, better suited for small hands, and has a wider CPI range. The Logitech has more programmable buttons and a slightly lower click latency, though this may not be noticeable to most people.

Razer DeathAdder V2

The Razer DeathAdder V2 is a much better wired gaming mouse than the Corsair GLAIVE PRO. While the Corsair has a unique design with swappable side panels to give you access to different rubber textures or a thumb rest, the Razer has a more traditional and straightforward design. The Razer is quite a bit lighter and is well-suited for any hand size with any grip, except small hands for claw or fingertip grip. It also has better feet, more programmable buttons, a lower click latency, and a better overall sensor performance.

Razer Basilisk Ultimate

The Razer Basilisk Ultimate and the Corsair GLAIVE PRO are great gaming mice. While the Corsair is wired-only, you can use the Razer wired or wireless. The Razer is suitable for all hand sizes with a palm grip, while the Corsair is best with a claw grip for all hand sizes. The Razer comes with a less stiff and rigid cable, has a lower click latency even when used wirelessly, has more buttons, a lower lift-off distance, and a slightly wider CPI range. On the other hand, Corsair's software is fully compatible with Windows and macOS.

Razer Basilisk V2

The Razer Basilisk V2 is a better wired gaming mouse than the Corsair GLAIVE PRO. The Razer is a bit lighter, has a much better cable, lower click latency, more programmable buttons, and a higher max CPI. The Corsair has better software that works on both Windows and macOS and has three side panels that allow you to change the grip and feel of the mouse. The Razer is suitable for any hand size with a palm grip, while the Corsair is suited for any hand size with a claw grip.

Vegcoo C18

The Corsair GLAIVE PRO is a much better gaming mouse than the Vegcoo C18. The Corsair feels much better built, has a much better and more consistent sensor performance with a much wider adjustable CPI range, and is much more comfortable. On the other hand, the Vegcoo is wireless and has a surprisingly low click latency.

Havit HV-MS760

The Corsair GLAIVE PRO is a better wired gaming mouse than the Havit HV-MS760. The Corsair has a lower click latency, a wider and more adjustable CPI range, and better companion software. While both mice have swappable side panels, the Havit's different panels give you a different number of buttons, while the Corsair's side panels offer different grip types. While the Havit is good for medium and larger hands, those with small hands will likely get a better grip with the Corsair.

Razer DeathAdder Elite

The Razer DeathAdder Elite and the Corsair GLAIVE PRO are both great wired gaming mice. The Razer weighs less, has more programmable buttons, and a lower lift-off distance. On the other hand, the Corsair has a wider CPI range, a lower click latency, and is fully compatible with Windows and macOS. The Corsair is better suited for claw grip for all hand sizes, while the Razer is best for all hand sizes with a palm grip.

Razer Naga Trinity

While both the Razer Naga Trinity and the Corsair GLAIVE PRO have swappable side panels, the Razer's three side panels feature a different amount of programmable buttons; the Corsair's side panels offer different grip textures and shapes, including a thumb rest. Both of these mice are wired, and while the slightly lighter weight Corsair is better for FPS gaming, the Razer gives you the option to add 12 programmable side buttons, which is better for MMO games. The Corsair is a better option if you have small hands, while the Razer is best suited for medium or large hands.

Build Quality

This mouse feels quite well-built. The entire mouse feels very solid with very little flex or wobble and the removable side panels stay in place well. The buttons feel fairly solid, though the L/R click buttons of our unit felt a little flimsy and loose. Still, this may just be with our specific unit and it likely wouldn't be too noticeable during regular use.
