The Epson Expression ET-2750 EcoTank is a very good wireless all-in-one printer for most people. It's remarkably cost-effective thanks to its EcoTank ink system, which can print thousands of copies before needing to be refilled. Unfortunately, it prints rather slowly and doesn't have the best print quality. However, for busy families and students who don't want to spend a fortune on disposable ink cartridges, it's an excellent option.

Our Verdict

7.6 Family

The Epson Expression ET-2750 is a good family printer. Its photo printing quality is decent and you can print lots before needing to buy more ink. Unfortunately, it has bad color accuracy, so you might find your photos look a little off, even if the details are good. Its scanner also doesn't have an automatic document feeder (ADF), so you'll need to scan documents one-by-one with the flatbed.

Pros
  • Supertank ink system is outstandingly cost-effective.
  • Great connectivity options.
  • Excellent mobile app with lots of features.
  • Decent photo printing quality.
Cons
  • Bad color accuracy.
  • Ink level indicators hard to see clearly.
6.4 Small/Home Office

The Epson Expression ET-2750 is passable for home and small office use. While its EcoTank ink system makes printing a large number of copies very affordable, it's quite slow, even just printing in black and white. Its scanner is also missing an automatic document feeder (ADF) so if you have lots of documents to scan, it'll take a long time using the flatbed. That said, if your business just needs something with a low cost-per-print, then it could work well.

Pros
  • Great connectivity options.
Cons
  • Ink level indicators hard to see clearly.
  • No automatic document feeder (ADF) or fax.
9.0 Student

The Epson Expression ET-2750 is an excellent printer for students. It's surprisingly compact so you shouldn't have too many issues fitting it in your dorm and it has lots of connectivity options. The best part is how cost-effective the EcoTank ink system is - depending on how much you print, you might finish your degree before you need to buy new ink bottles! Keep in mind that it prints rather slowly, so you'll want to give yourself plenty of time before printing a lengthy report.

Pros
  • Supertank ink system is outstandingly cost-effective.
  • Great connectivity options.
  • Excellent mobile app with lots of features.
Cons
  • Ink level indicators hard to see clearly.
7.5 Black & White

The Epson Expression ET-2750 is a good black and white printer. Thanks to its EcoTank, monochrome prints are remarkably affordable. A single bottle of black ink can produce thousands of copies, which is fantastic. Unfortunately, it's not the fastest printer in the world, but at least black prints come out more quickly than they do in color.

Pros
  • Supertank ink system is outstandingly cost-effective.
Cons
  • Ink level indicators hard to see clearly.
7.0 Photo

The Epson ET-2750 is an okay printer or printing photos. Although it has bad color accuracy, photos look decent and have a good amount of small details. It can print on glossy photo paper and it supports most photo paper sizes. Its cost-per-print is extremely low, so you don't have to worry about rising costs over time.

Pros
  • Supertank ink system is outstandingly cost-effective.
  • Decent photo printing quality.
Cons
  • Bad color accuracy.
  • Ink level indicators hard to see clearly.
  • Doesn't support 2" x 3" photo paper.

Compared To Other Printers

The Epson Expression ET-2750 EcoTank is a good printer for everyday home use. It's extremely cost-effective due to its superb refillable ink tank system, but it has bad color accuracy and its photo printing quality isn't as good as some of the other printers in this price range. For more options, check out our recommendations for the best printers with cheap ink, the best Epson printers, and the best all-in-one printers.

Epson EcoTank ET-2850

The Epson Expression ET-2750 and the Epson EcoTank ET-2850 are very similar printers. Both are supertanks, but the ET-2850 yields slightly more pages, so you can print another thousand black pages and a hundred color pages before you need to refill the tanks. Otherwise, they perform very similarly, but the ET-2750 is discontinued, so it's much harder to find in stock.

Epson EcoTank ET-3760

The Epson Expression ET-2750 and the Epson EcoTank ET-3760 are both good supertank printers, but the ET-3760 is better overall. It has a higher page yield, a slightly lower cost-per-print, and a faster printing speed. It also features an automatic document feeder. On the other hand, the ET-2750 produces photos that look slightly less grainy.

Canon PIXMA G2260

The Canon PIXMA G2260 and the Epson Expression ET-2750 are both supertank printers with an exceptional cost-per-print. If you intend to print in color, the Canon has a higher color page yield, a lower cost-per-print for photos and color printing, and significantly better color accuracy. However, if you plan on mostly printing black-only documents, the Epson is better due to its higher black page yield at a slightly lower cost and its faster printing speed. Also, the Epson has wireless connectivity options and a mobile app.

Brother MFC-J995DW

Overall, the Brother MFC-J995DW is much better than the Epson Expression ET-2750. The Brother has a significantly better build quality, a better display screen, and it has an automatic document feeder. It also has better color accuracy and photo printing quality. However, the Epson has a much higher black and color page yield, resulting in a lower cost-per-print.

Epson EcoTank ET-2760

The Epson EcoTank ET-2760 and the Epson Expression ET-2750 are two very similar printers. They use the same supertank ink system, but the ET-2760 has a slightly higher page yield and a slightly lower cost-per-print.

Epson EcoTank ET-4760

The Epson Expression ET-2750 and the Epson EcoTank ET-4760 are all-in-one color inkjet printers with supertank ink systems that give them exceptionally high page yields. However, the ET-4760 is better for small or home offices, as it has an automatic document feeder, a fax feature, much faster printing speeds, and more accurate-looking colors, and has a slightly better color document and photo cost-per-print. On the other hand, the ET-2750 produces better-quality photos, aside from the poor color accuracy.

Epson EcoTank ET-2720

The Epson EcoTank ET-2720 and the Epson Expression ET-2750 are similar printers, but the ET-2750 is slightly better-performing overall. The ET-2750 can print black-text documents quicker, and it has duplex printing and external storage support. On the other hand, although it's still sub-par, the ET-2720 yields more color pages before needing to refill it, though the ET-2750 yields more black pages.

Canon PIXMA G6020

The Epson Expression ET-2750 and the Canon PIXMA G6020 are both inkjet printers with supertanks, which give them both exceptionally high page yields, but the Epson is better for students, while the Canon is better for casual photo printing. The Epson has much better black page yields, a cheaper black text document cost-per-print, and it prints documents much faster. On the other hand, the Canon has better color page yields, a cheaper color document cost-per-print, and it produces better-looking photos with significantly more accurate colors.

Epson EcoTank ET-4700

The Epson Expression ET-2750 and the Epson EcoTank ET-4700 are all-in-one color inkjet printers with supertank ink systems for very high page yields and a very low cost-per-print, but the Expression is a better printer for students. The Expression yields a superior number of pages and has a slightly better cost-per-print, prints more quickly overall, and produces better-looking photos. It can also automatically print double-sided. On the other hand, the EcoTank has an automatic document feeder, faxing capability, and an Ethernet port, making it better for the office. It also produces much more accurate colors.

Canon PIXMA TR150

The Canon PIXMA TR150 and the Epson Expressions ET-2750 are inkjet printers designed for different uses. The Epson is a family printer that isn't meant to be portable like the Canon is. The Epson uses a supertank that yields a much higher number of pages, resulting in a significantly lower cost-per-print than the Canon. Because the Canon is designed to be travel-friendly, it lacks the flatbed scanner that the Epson has, but it takes up much less space, and it comes with a battery so you can print even without an outlet nearby.

Canon MAXIFY GX7020

The Canon MAXIFY GX7020 and the Epson Expression ET-2750 are both all-in-one color inkjet printers with supertanks. However, the Canon is much better for small or home offices, with almost double the color page yield, and a much faster printing speed. It also has an automatic document feeder with duplex scanning, it can fax, and it has an Ethernet port. On the other hand, the Epson is still superb for students and has a higher black page yield.

Epson WorkForce ST-M1000

The Epson Expression ET-2750 is an all-in-one color supertank model, while the Epson WorkForce ST-M1000 is a monochrome supertank printer. The ET-2750 is better for most cases thanks to its flatbed scanner, its ability to print in color, and decent photo printing quality. Also, it has a higher page yield at a lower cost-per-print for black prints than the ST-M1000, making it a good choice if you primarily print in black. On the other hand, the ST-M1000 prints much faster, and its input tray can hold more papers than the ET-2750's.

The Epson ET-2750 has an ordinary design. The supertank is easy to access, but you'll want to be careful when closing each ink compartment since it can be hard to tell when the lids are firmly shut. The external ink level indicator also isn't as clear as advertised. On the upside, the display console can tilt for easy visibility from different angles, and the rear paper input makes it easy to add sheets without interrupting an active print job.

The Epson Expression ET-2750 EcoTank is a surprisingly compact all-in-one printer that is also quite lightweight. The supertank causes the printer to jut out a bit on one side, but the overall footprint should be small enough for most home offices.

Update 05/19/2020: The screen is smaller than previously reported. We also lowered the score after having compared it to more models. The review has been updated.

This printer has a mediocre display. The screen is quite small, so the icons aren't super clear, and it can take a good number of button presses to get what you're looking for. On the upside, you can swivel the entire display panel to get a better view whether you're seated or standing.

The Epson ET-2750's supertank system is excellent. Unlike typical inkjet printers that have removable cartridges you replace when empty, this printer has four high-capacity ink tanks you refill yourself. You can print an extremely high number of copies before needing to refill the tanks, and even then, you should still have some ink left over in the bottle.

While it's technically possible to fill the supertank with any third-party ink, we didn't try it and don't recommend doing so as low-quality ink could damage the print heads and, unlike regular cartridges, can't be removed if there's a problem.

The Epson Expression ET-2750 EcoTank's scanning features are mediocre. While the scan resolution and color depth are good for scanning photos, multi-page documents will be a hassle due to the lack of an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). There's also no fax, which could be a deal-breaker for some businesses.

The Epson Expression ET-2750 EcoTank's cost-per-print is outstandingly low. Since there are three bottles of color ink, you'll have to spend a bit more when it's time to restock, but since they last so long it's hardly an issue. Also, many people will virtually never need to purchase more than one replacement bottle of black ink, which makes this printer extremely cost-effective in the long run.

The Epson ET 2750's printing speed is okay. The first page doesn't take too long, but the following pages aren't much quicker, especially in color. This printer also takes quite a while to print photos, so you might have to wait a bit if you need to print a few in a row. On the upside, unlike the Epson EcoTank ET-2720, it can automatically duplex print, which is a fairly handy feature.
