I am not sure why it did not pickup “pet hairs” from carpet. Are they deeply pushed into piles?
Carpet edges on you movies are not cleaned. Is it because side brush does not work or because small space it does not go along edge?
Hello RtingsUser3015153,
There can be a few factors that affect how well a robot will pickup pet hairs from carpets. In our test, we use 1 gram of hair spread over an area, and then pack down the fibers using a weighted roller. In the case of the Saros 10R, the dual brush roll design lacks the necessary agitation to release the hair fibers that were packed down into the carpet. This same issue carries over when trying to pick up debris from carpets.
In our testing, we found that the side brush provides inadequate agitation to remove debris from the edges and corners. This is a common limitation of robot vacuums, as many vacuums have brushrolls that do not extend right to the edge of the robot, and instead rely on a side brush to cover this dead zone.
The review says Beats Pill have a barebones app with no EQ. I recently bought the speaker, and those statements seem inaccurate on iOS/iPadOS.
1) The Beats Pill app seems incompatible with this speaker. Renaming and some other settings can be accessed through the Pill settings section in the system Settings app, which appears once the speaker is paired and connected.
2) Finally, Pill respects EQ settings from the Music app settings, so it is possible to adjust its sound, albeit in pre-set mode only, as Music EQ simply has several ready-made presets, not an equaliser per se.
Hello slwstr,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will take a look and update our review as needed. If you have any notice any other inconsistencies, or have any suggestions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
This definitely lines up with what I’ve noticed. I wonder why they didn’t make the EQ actually flat instead of this pretty u shaped sound signature
Is it possible for you to determine a good eq setting for these headphones with the equipment?
Hello SCP-343,
Unfortunately, we can’t create custom EQ settings for each pair of headphones. However, I will forward your suggestion to our R&D team so that we can work on a solution for the future.
Don’t hesitate to contact us for any more suggestions you may have.
Can we get a test of the headphones in the “flat” sound signature setting on the app? I want to see how accurate it is because it still seems quite a bit more bassy compared to my hd6xx than the graphs would imply
Hello SCP-343,
Fortunately, we have the data you are looking for, which can be found here. As you can see, flat closely follows the Soundcore Signature EQ with minor reductions in the low mids and high bass, as well as treble.
Hello, will Bose’s CustomTune technology affect the sound quality? In other words, will different people get different results when using it?
Hello Sayo,
The CustomTune technology offered by Bose should not affect sound quality, however, it will affect your perception of the sound. That is to say, it will modify the EQ and the ANC so it is better suited to your unique ear canal. Because of this, It will indeed be different for different users.
Please note that this feature is not available on these headphones. They are available for the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II TW.
Hello Rtings team! I’ve have written about this in another page before, but unfortunately you ignored. Seems like there is a mistake in Battery results (therefore ratings) of FE. 6.3hours of Continous Battery Life with 3.5x additional charge makes 28.35 hours of total battery time not 22 hours. Please check.
Hello Bashar,
We are currently using product to analyze future test bench data, however, once that is complete we will update the review with the correct total battery time.
Hi Rtings team, keep up the great job :)
I have a question regarding the battery test. The charging time is listed as 5.4 hours, but Minirig indicates that with a fast PD charger, it can charge in under two hours. Why wasn’t this tested? Is it because a special charger is required?
Hello SerPatrickSpens46,
We tried various fast chargers in our office, including a 65w Laptop charger. Unfortunately we did not see a major change in the charging speed. The quickest charge time we achieved was 4.27 hours. If you can live with charging to 95%, then you’ll only have to wait 3.16 hours. Other than the laptop charger, we tried our two quick chargers, one of which is a 67w USB-C Charger.
I’ve seen something about that recently on YouTube (Ceonthemaking). Apparently, the microphones do isolate external noise, but to record it, you need to call yourself. A vocal note or recording the call via an app would not activate the noise reduction.
Have a look at that video!
Hello Nikotttin,
Unfortunately, we were unable to acquire results which differ from the samples we have on our review. We are currently working hard to include a comparison and test that would better determine the performance of headphones in a conference call environment. If you have any feedback, we would be very happy to hear it.
Would you be able to test the wireless latency with DTX 2.0 on vs off, seems to vary quite alot?
Hello Fireball2025,
Unfortunately, we were unable to capture any differences with our equipment. When listening to it subjectively, we failed to find any noticeable difference between DTS on and DTS off. Hope this helps.
Would you be able to test the wireless latency with DTX 2.0 on vs off, seems to vary quite alot?
Hello Fireball2025,
Because of our testing methods, which bypass PC Software like Steel Series GG, Using DTS 2.0 may not be capturable. However, we will still take measurements and post the update (if there is one) to the review.
If you have any other suggestions, please let us know.
Hi Rtings team, keep up the great job :)
I have a question regarding the battery test. The charging time is listed as 5.4 hours, but Minirig indicates that with a fast PD charger, it can charge in under two hours. Why wasn’t this tested? Is it because a special charger is required?
Hello SerPatrickSpens46,
Our battery charge time test consists of three main components; The product to be tested, our wall charger (quick charger), and the cable supplied with the product to be tested.
We use the accessories that come with the product in order to give users a good grasp of what kind of performance they can expect without purchasing additional hardware.
So I just got the p40is and I think your testing is either flawed or the firmware update my headphones did helped with ANC. I tested frequencies from 10-500hz and I saw a huge drop in volume across them all(at least 10db if not 20db). 10hz for example i can’t even hear with the headphones ANC on with no audio playing. But your graph shows no ANC db drop below 500hz on the p40i. The earbuds are a strange oval shape on these so maybe fitment was an issue? Either way, ANC is better than the graph shows here(so long as your ear fitment is decent). For clarification I’m using auto mode so it adjusts depending on how loud the environment is with wind noise reduction enabled.
Hello 0xsergy,
Thank you for letting us know, we will look into the latest firmware for the P40i. We will update the review if required.
Hi there! Can we bypass the battery of JBL PARTYBOX 310 to DC? Is this doable? Is this possible and recommendable? Cause I just want to discard the battery ang go full on DC. As what i observed plugging to DC gives a better audio result. We all know the battery will deteriorate it’s life overtime. Thanks in advance!
Hello K1MMO1,
Unfortunately the JBL PartyBox 310 does not feature a removable battery. However, the JBL PartyBox 320 does, and can be used without the battery. When the battery is left in the speaker, it is bypassed and only used when there is no incoming charge from the included cable. Let me know if this answers your question.
Hey RTINGS!
It seems like JBL released an update that increased the number of bands available in their equalizer to 7 in addition to specifying what frequency each band is adjusting. Is it possible to retest the calibrated frequency response for that?
Thanks!
Hello Tehk_,
Thank you for letting us know, we will look into this change and update our review as needed. As for retesting the preliminary recalibration frequency response, we prioritize using Bass and Treble. The goal of this test is not to give users a recommended bass/treble setting (as every individual configuration is different and may require different settings) but to show users if it is possible to obtain a roughly neutral sound within the environment of our testing room (and by extension, in a user’s configuration)
Is the frequency response with or without ai room calibration applied?
Hello Raetsj,
If the product features automatic room calibration, then we will calibrate the soundbar using this feature before testing the audio performance. In the case of this soundbar, it does support AI room calibration, and our results on the review are with this feature enabled.
Hopes this helps, and don’t shy to ask if you have any more questions.
This is the Wireless model. ‘A-Spire Wireless’.
‘A-Spire’ is a wired headset, a different product.
I tried to add ‘A-Spire Wireless 'and was told it was already listed. So this must be it.
Hello MortenK,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we have corrected the model name and added the ACEZONE A-Spire Wireless and the ACEZONE A-Spire as separate products.
Hello.
You mentioned audio delay when using soundswap with an Arc. Could you please also test it with the new Arc Ultra to see if this has at all improved there?
You should also know that there is a known issue with audio delay on the Xbox One X when using Atmos over HDMI. This will also add to the delay when using soundswap. The reference should be 7.1 on Xbox or Atmos on PS5.
Hello Felix123FFM,
We will look into the Sound Swap performance, and the audio delay issue on the Xbox One X for the Sonos Ace and update the review if needed.
Apologies for being a pain, but the 310 was tested on both battery and mains power. Does the 320 gain a similar volume boost when plugged in and does compression change at all?
Hello sbanga,
Unfortunately, it does not appear that the 320 gains the same treatment. Regardless if running off of battery power or AC, the speaker will only output a maximum of 105-107 dB SPL. Performance with compression also remains the same.
Can you test some of the calibration combos for the system and what they specifically do? The system has quite a few EQs and sound processing modes along with tons of adjustments that can be made in the settings menus.
Hello RtingsUser5199591,
Unfortunately, there are too many variables, combinations, and possibilities for different setups and presets to realistically test calibration combos. In order to maintain comparability with other sound bars, we followed the guidelines listed by Nakamichi to calibrate the DRAGON to our specific use case and room.
If you are a DRAGON owner, you can contact Nakamichi DRAGON Concierge service for assistance.
Does the analog input have any notable latency? I’ve heard that a lot of bluetooth speakers have considerable input latency on analog inputs, which can make them unsuitable for live music performances, for example with DJing. If this isn’t something you test yet, it would be cool to see it in a future methodology update!
Hello eiglow_,
Unfortunately, we do not test for analog latency for speakers on our current test bench. However, I will hand it over to our test developers as a suggestion for our next test bench. If you have any more suggestions about aspects of products you’d like us to test, do not hesitate to reach out again.
99.2 dB vs 104.4 dB for the 310? Surely that can’t be correct as it suggests the 310 is about 1.5 times as loud, which seems a strange move from JBL for it’s replacement.
Hello sbanga,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will take a look and update the review accordingly.
The built in Chromecast doesn’t always work as I expect. I’ve got a mix of wired and wireless Chromecast speakers: WiiM amp, Nest Hub Max and Minis, Chromecast Audios and this S60D soundbar.
Although it’s reliable when I cast content to it on its own, when it it part of a speaker group it usually doesn’t play, and needs to be added to the playing devices each time using the Google Home app or using the Media controls on the Hub Max.
On the rare times when it does start playing with the rest of the speakers in the group it often drops out or the group stops playing. Wierd.
Hello Busywait,
As Chromecast is a Wi-Fi service, there can be many factors or reasons as to why any device would intermittently disconnect. During our testing, we did not notice any glaring issues with our unit dropping Chromecast connections.
Can you please test to see if you can hear a better quality and more dependable connection in the surround sound speakers and Sub because it uses Wi-Fi vs. Bluetooth? I am trying to determine if I should buy the Arc Ultra with Sub 4 and the Era 300’s or Samsungs Q99D. Thanks!!
Hello BC2
We measure overall performance, regardless of the device’s specific internal connection type. We do not use soundbars for a long enough period to get an accurate measure on connection reliability.
If you are price conscious, The Samsung Q990D is more likely to be the better option, while the testing for the Sonos Arc Ultra is still ongoing, we do not believe the performance difference will warrant its higher price tag.
Guys, does the room calibration works also via app? From my understanding it works only with Samsung TV, so I guess it does not make sense buy the Samsung soundbar for my LG C4, is that correct? Because the wireless rears would be placed kind of strangely at my living room and i dont want them to be sound weird. thanks!
Hello LucasBeatz,
Conveniently, all services the soundbar provides can be accessed through the app, a Samsung tv is not a requirement. Room calibration is available regardless of TV model.
I wonder which BT codecs does it support. SBC only? Maybe AAC for iPhones or aptX for Android? It often changes the sound quality in typical usage. I would expect it to be always tested as separate category by RTINGS.
Hello Tobol,
We will look into this. If there are any additional codecs other than SBC, we will include it in our review. We will forward your suggestion to our R&D department.
Have you had a chance to test its connectivity with previous generations? I mean previously was not possible to connect Wonderboom 2 and Wonderboom 3 and with other Ultimate Ear Speakers. What about Wonderboom 4; also only connects just with other Wonderboom 4s or with Wonderboom 3 as well?
Hello Bashar,
Like the previous Wonderboom generations, the Wonderboom 4 does not connect to non-Wonderboom speakers. At minimum, you would need another Wonderboom 3 to enter “Double Up” which is mono sound from two speakers according to the manufacturer. For stereo sound, you would need at another Wonderboom 4. At the moment, we haven’t tested this.
Unfortunately, the only way to control volume from two separate sources on the Arctis Nova 7 is to change the volume on the source device.
For example, increasing or decreasing the volume on your mobile device will only affect the Bluetooth volume connection, and not the 2.4 GHz connection. Using the controls on the headphones will modify the master volume of both mixes.
Hello David, I forgot to mention than this issue happen when audio mode is on “hearthrough” option and in audio listening mode. No problem occur with ANC activated. Thanks
Hello cyber6,
Sadly, we were not able to reproduce your issue even with hear through at various strengths, and with our fan running at the testing speed. We also tried running the fan at the most powerful setting and in different orientations, however still failed to get the buds disconnect, let alone power down.
I own these earbuds since July 12, and, I have a strange issue and apparently no one can help me wit that at Jabra support for the moment. When I activate the wind suppression option, as soon as the wind hits the microphones, the earbuds shutdown and disconnect from the phone, then it will reconnect but not restart my listening. Thats only happen with wind protection activated ? Can you, or anyone try that ? It’s easy to simulate indoor with a air blaster. Thanks
Hello cyber6,
Our wind test consists of a powerful fan that blows towards our testing head in order to verify the performance of wind modes on ANC enabled headphones. Our unit did not shutdown during this test. Try power-cycling your device and headphones, as well as ensuring that everything is on the latest firmware.
Is this review being posted soon? I would like to buy these for Work phone calls. Have been searching for 10 years for a set of wireless earbuds that are respectable for phone calls (Android user, not Apple). Please ensure to review the Phone Call audio from both sides of the conversation! Nobody else remembers that earbuds might be used for calls and just reviews the sound design!!
Hello RJBowie,
These earbuds are currently in the voting process. You can vote for them here. If there is enough interest, then they will be purchased and reviewed by our team.
Arrived a few days ago… you really can’t use it with USB cable?
Not that it’s a big deal for me in general, I’m just surprised, it seems a real basic stuff for me to be able to use a premium-ish headset with simple USB cable instead of the 2.4 GHz USB stick.
(Although now it’s a bit frustrating, since my dongle seems to be completely dead, and they don’t seem to be really helpful about it…)
(Edit: they were actually mostly helpful, after making sure that the error is on their side, at least… They’ll send me a replacement USB stick without any trouble.)
Hello fanyul,
Sadly, these headphones do not support USB audio. However, if you wish to use these headphones with a wired connection, you can use the included analog cable.
Newer firmware has been released since these were originally tested. It’s supposed to include fixes for the microphone pickup, particularly when background noise is present. It’s also apparently supposed to fix the high noise floor you reported. Will you be able to test to see how the new firmware performs? Thanks!
Hello beefjerky9,
We will look into this firmware update and make the necessary changes to the review (if required) in a timely manner.

Hey guys!
Sometimes when i touch the earbuds with ANC turned ON I hear some kind of disturbance (it’s like when radio signal is weak); it happens randomly and more evidently when I fix them in the ears; it could affect just one of the earbuds or both. It disappear after one-two secs if I keep touching them, but as soon as some time passes without contact (like 30 secs) and i retouch them then the loop starts again. I could experience also audio track stop for a fraction of sec (but sometimes it happens even if i don’t touch them, i think it’s false flag for this case, maybe a software issue".
I read in the manual that this behaviour could be due to the sensitivity of mics; however it talks about beeping or whistling sounds, and I think it’s not falling in these spefic categories.
Did you experienced the same? I come from MTW2 and this is pretty new for me. Maybe it’s how Adaptive ANC works (which is pretty annoying because i just touch the earbuds even paying attention not to cover the mic holes), but i wanna be sure before returing them back.
Hello Argoxz,
Unfortunately, (or fortunately) we did not experience this issue with our pair of buds. As such, we cannot offer any exact fixes but may be able to provide some general suggestions. Here are some things you can try before returning your unit:
Update the firmware and software of your product
Factory reset the unit
Power cycle the device you are connecting your unit to
See if the problem persists over multiple devices (connect to a different device)
If you are using multi-pairing, remove all active connections and only attempt to connect to one device
Turn off any sources of electromagnetic radiation, they may be interfering with the connection of you device
If none of these help, it may be possible that the PCB or drivers of your unit are simply faulty
If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to reach out
Hi, thank you for the update. Any further updates on this, how is the testing going? Also, when is the review expected to be published?
Hello Vaulterer,
We have begun testing on the headphones. We expect to release early access by Friday. (Assuming everything goes as planned). If there are any delays or additional validations or checks required, we will require extra time to carry them out.
Is it possible to know the db volume output of this headset at lets say 50% headphone volume + windows volume mixer being set at 100% for safety reasons? Would appreciate an answer…
Hello Urianian,
While we normally do not test for volume of our headphones, we decided to look into this for you. Take a look at this graph
The World Health Organization states that 85 dB is safe for 8 hours, and 110 dB is safe for about 1 minute 30 seconds. Please note that the maximum volume of a device depends on the audio source, and that volume % is not a direct correlation to overall dB. If you have any further questions or comments please leave a reply and we will get back to you in a timely manner.
Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing problems keeping the ANC feature activated while the buds are placed in our testing rig. This will cause delays to the review process, and are currently looking into possible solutions.
Unfortunately upon receiving this item we realized that the wrong model had arrived, as such, this review will be delayed. We have already ordered the correct model and are waiting for its arrival in our lab.
Hey guys!
In this review it was mentioned that these do not have a power saving feature. They in fact do after a non specified amount of time turn off when not in use to save power.
Hello Protomize,
We will look into this power saving feature and update the review as needed
Hey guys!
Nothing Ear got a firmware update to 1.0.1.52 stating improved connectivity, ANC in windy environments and voice clarity during calls. Please test and confirm.
