The Eureka Mighty Mite is a budget-friendly canister vacuum designed with bare floors in mind. It has a relatively potent 12-amp motor, which makes it a handy tool in a garage. If you need to get into harder-to-reach places, the wand is made of two separate pieces, so you can shorten it. Unfortunately, it has a plasticky build quality and uses a dirtbag, so you need to replace it when it's full. That said, maintenance is outstandingly easy with this vacuum, and the dirtbag is the only recurring cost.
Our Verdict
The Eureka Mighty Mite is decent for bare floors. Its straight suction floorhead is too low to the ground to pass over medium and bulky debris like rice or cereal, though it easily picks up finer material on this surface type. While it has an overall plasticky build quality, it's outstandingly easy to maintain. The dirtbag is also the only major recurring cost, as it needs to be replaced when full. It also has good maneuverability, although its range is a little short.

It's pretty effective in handling medium and large-sized debris, but its straight-suction head doesn't provide the requisite level of surface agitation to draw out fine debris embedded within carpet fibers. While it has a mediocre build, it's outstandingly easy to maintain as its dirtbag is the only thing that needs to be taken care of. The 3670M variant comes with five dirtbags, which is nice.

The Eureka Mighty Mite is a passable option for pet owners. While it has no trouble picking up pet hair from hard surfaces, it struggles with strands of hair pressed deep within carpet fibers. It doesn't come with a HEPA filter to help trap allergens, but its pre-motor filter doesn't need to be replaced if you take good care of it. Maintenance is very easy, and you only need to worry about replacing the dirtbag when it's full.

The Eureka Mighty Mite is great for cars. This vacuum is lightweight and easily portable. Since its wand is made of two pieces, you can easily shorten it to reach more difficult areas. While it doesn't have the longest reach, you can fit its tools and brushes into its onboard storage, so you don't have to keep going back to grab more parts. The vacuum is easy to maintain, even though it has a mediocre build.

Compared To Other Vacuums
The Eureka Mighty Mite 3670M is a budget-level canister vacuum meant for cleaning bare floors like garages. It has an incredible performance on bare floors as it can pick up pet hair as well as small and large debris with little problem. It also has few maintenance needs aside from emptying its dirtbag when full, and it comes with a couple of handy tools to help you clean places like the inside of your car.

The Eureka Whirlwind Bagless Canister and the Eureka Mighty Mite are similarly-performing canister vacuums. The Whirlwind feels better built and incurs lower recurring costs by virtue of its bagless design. However, the Mighty Mite has more tools, is a bit more portable, and has a longer range. User maintenance is much easier, and its dirtbag holds more debris. Both vacuums have similar straight-suction heads that struggle with larger debris.
The Eureka Mighty Mite is superior to the BISSELL Zing Bagged Canister. The Eureka is a little easier to maintain, performs noticeably better on low-pile carpet and bare floors, and has lower recurring costs with a longer range. Conversely, the BISSELL deals with finer debris on high-pile carpet more effectively.
The Eureka Mighty Mite and BISSELL Zing Bagless Canister have different strengths. The Eureka is a bagged canister vacuum with better bare floor performance, less demanding maintenance requirements, fewer recurring costs, and slightly lighter construction. The bagless BISSELL feels slightly sturdier and does a better job on both low and high-pile carpet.
The Miele Classic C1 is a more versatile canister vacuum than the Eureka Mighty Mite. The Miele feels better built, is easier to maintain, and has a wide variety of convenience features like a self-winding power cord and a tool clip that sits at the base of its wand. It also has a more powerful motor, and it's more maneuverable despite its heavier weight. However, the Eureka is still a good choice if you're looking for an inexpensive alternative that weighs less and takes up less room when not in use.
The Eureka Mighty Mite is a better canister vacuum for bare floors than the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball. The Eureka has a larger dirt compartment and is lighter, and since its wand is made of two separate parts, you can shorten the wand for more maneuverability. It also has significantly better performance on all surface types. However, the Dyson has no recurring costs. It's also easier to store, is more maneuverable, and comes with more tools and brushes.
The Eureka Mighty Mite and Airsign HEPA Vacuum each have advantages, so one might suit you better than the other, depending on your needs. However, the Airsign is a better fit for most types of household cleaning, with three different suction power modes and a suction control slider that allows you to adapt to different surfaces on the fly. The NaceCare HVR 200 Henry is better than the Eureka Mighty Mite, but the latter is still a great budget-friendly option. The Eureka is substantially smaller and lighter and has an even easier-to-maintain design. It also has a relatively powerful suction motor for a vacuum at this price point, though it doesn't offer the same level of deep-cleaning performance as the more potent NaceCare. However, the NaceCare feels much better built, features a cord retraction mechanism, has a much longer range, and uses a bigger dirtbag that holds a lot more debris. It comes with a few more brushes and tools, too.
The Dyson Humdinger and the Eureka Mighty Mite are different vacuums, each better suited to different uses. The Dyson is a cordless handheld vacuum that's great for spot-cleaning small messes or cleaning hard-to-reach areas. Meanwhile, the Eureka is a corded canister vacuum, so it's not limited by battery life and has a much larger dirt compartment, making it better for cleaning larger spaces. The Eureka has more recurring costs than the Dyson since it uses disposable dirtbags.
The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 3-in-1 Backpack Vacuum Kit and Eureka Mighty Mite are differently designed vacuums with different strengths, so one may suit you better than the other, depending on your needs. The Milwaukee is a better-built backpack/handheld vacuum with a cordless design, allowing you to clean areas far from an electrical outlet. It also feels better built, has a bagless design that incurs low recurring costs, and has an onboard HEPA filter. Meanwhile, the Eureka is a much more compact canister vacuum that uses disposable dirtbags. It's even easier to maintain and delivers better performance on low-pile carpet.
The Eureka Mighty Mite is a better vacuum than the Dirt Devil Endura Max, though they vary quite drastically in terms of design. As a result of its bagged design, the Eureka incurs higher recurring costs than the bagless Dirt Devil since you'll need to replace its dirtbag once it's filled up. This also makes it much easier and more hygienic to dispose of any accumulated debris, and it results in significantly better filtration performance. The Eureka also weighs less, making it far more maneuverable, and delivers significantly better overall performance on all surface types, even with just a straight suction floorhead.
Test Results
The Eureka Mighty Mite 3670M has mediocre build quality. It's completely made of plastic, making it look a little cheap, but most of it is fairly sturdy. However, while it's easy to assemble all of its parts, the wand could fall apart if not properly clipped together.
This vacuum is outstandingly easy to maintain. It doesn't have a brushroll and the manual doesn't state that the vacuum head needs to be maintained either.
- Dirt compartment: You can access this part by removing the hose from the canister and opening the lid. The bag has arrows to let you know to close it when you remove the bag to prevent debris from spilling out. The bag needs to be emptied when full.
- Pre-motor filter: The pre-motor filter is located behind the dirtbag. The manual doesn't specify further instructions other than to clean when needed. You can wash this filter if necessary.
If you wash any part with water, it's recommended that you air dry it for 24 hours before using it again.
This vacuum has one main recurring cost, which is its dirtbag. This part needs to be replaced when full and can be purchased directly from Eureka's website. The pre-motor filter won't need replacing as long as it's well-maintained. That said, if you're often cleaning fine debris like plaster dust or powder, the manual recommends changing the bag and filter more often. If you're looking for a budget-friendly vacuum that doesn't use a dirtbag that needs to be regularly replaced, look at the BISSELL Zing Bagless Canister.
The Eureka Mighty Mite is alright to store. With the hose upright, it's quite tall, but it won't be too much of a problem if you're storing it in your garage. It also has onboard tool storage for its crevice tool and combination tool.

The Eureka Mighty Mite has an acceptable range. Its cord and hose lengths aren't particularly long. While you may not have a problem if you're just cleaning your garage, if you have more space to cover, you may need to change outlets more frequently. If you're looking for a cordless vacuum that's well-suited for shop cleaning, consider the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 3-in-1 Backpack Vacuum Kit.
This vacuum has great portability. It's light, especially compared to other canister vacuums like the Eureka Whirlwind Bagless Canister and the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball. It also comes with a carrying handle, so it's easy to move from one room to another.
This vacuum doesn't use a battery.
This vacuum has a couple of extra features. Unlike the Airsign HEPA Vacuum, there isn't a power adjustment feature for its motor. Thankfully, there's a slip ring on the hose that you can open or close to control its suction level. You can also adjust the main head to extend its bristles for hard floors or retract them for carpets.
The Eureka Mighty Mite 3670M comes with a couple of tools. The combination brush is both an upholstery tool and a crevice tool. The wand also comes in two pieces, so you can remove one section and adjust its length.
You can use this vacuum in another configuration by removing one part of the wand to shorten its length.
This vacuum's performance on hard floors is poor. While its relatively potent suction motor allows it to easily lift away finer debris like sand on this surface type, its floorhead sits too low to the ground to allow it to pass over large debris like cereal or medium-sized debris like rice, causing it to push it around instead of passing over it so that the vacuum can suck it up.
Performance on high-pile carpet is decent. It does a fairly good job of dealing with medium and large-sized debris like rice or cereal on this surface type, but its straight-suction head doesn't provide quite enough surface agitation to lift away finer debris that's been embedded deeper in high-pile carpet fibers within a single back-and-forth pass.
This vacuum offers satisfactory performance on low-pile carpet. Aside from a small amount of material that might be left along walls and corners, it's quite effective in handling medium-sized and large debris, like rice or sand. That said, you'll need to make an extra pass or two to deal with finer debris like sand that's been embedded within carpet fibers.
This vacuum does a poor job of dealing with pet hair on low-pile carpet. Its floorhead doesn't provide enough surface agitation to dislodge hair that's been pressed deep into carpet fibers.
The Eureka Mighty Mite seals quite well from its floorhead, outperforming alternatives like the Airsign HEPA Vacuum, enabling it to suck up debris in cracks and crevices, and material embedded in carpet fibers.
This vacuum delivers excellent airflow performance. While it falls short of high-end models like the Miele Complete C3 in this respect, it's still far from weak and won't have any trouble lifting away heavier household debris.
This vacuum is a little noisy. It won't be overly disruptive if you use it in an enclosed space, but it can mask nearby conversation if you're using it in the same room.
This vacuum has good maneuverability. The vacuum head and handle are very light. As the wand is in two pieces, you need to make sure they're properly aligned; otherwise, it could be harder to maneuver. The wand has a good reach to get under couches and tables, but you may have to crouch a bit to keep the vacuum head from lifting off the floor. It's easy to move around electrical cords and to clean furniture thanks to its tools. Long tassels from a rug could get stuck on the head, though.
This vacuum does a great job of handling pet hair on furniture with its mini brush tool. This attachment is very effective in collecting small and long strands alike, but you'll need to suck up any hair that gets stuck in its bristles pretty regularly. Its light weight makes it easy to maneuver on this surface.
This vacuum does a fairly good job of sealing in fine particles despite lacking a HEPA filter. That said, its allergen-sealing performance partially depends on the specific model you get; some newer versions of the Eureka Mighty Mite lack mounting clips to attach aftermarket HEPA filters, though you can still purchase HEPA-rated dirtbags.
This vacuum does a decent job of dealing with debris in medium-depth and shallow cracks, though you might want to attach its crevice tool for cleaning deeper cracks.
