The Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus is a simple bullet blender that comes with two or three 20oz jars with to-go lids. It's well-suited for processing smoothie ingredients like fruit, leafy greens, and ice. However, the to-go lids don't feel very secure, which isn't an issue for other Ninja blenders like the Ninja Foodi Power Nutri DUO. You also need to push down on the jar constantly to blend, making it simple to use but not ideal for multiple batches or recipes that need to blend for several minutes.
The Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus is decent for multi-purpose use. It has a limited 20oz capacity, so you're limited to small batches, but it performs well for a variety of recipes. It smoothly blends fibrous fruits and vegetables for smoothies, makes snow-like crushed ice for blended cocktails or slushies, and can blend smooth nut butter or hummus.
The Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus is great for single-serve smoothies. It can make a well-blended smoothie with fibrous ingredients like kale or blueberries. It comes with at least two 20oz jars that are a good size for smoothies, and it's very easy to clean. However, it's not as convenient as some personal blenders because you need to push and hold the jar to blend.
The Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus is okay for multiple servings of smoothies. It comes with at least two 20oz jars, so it's a good choice for a couple of smoothies. However, if you're serving several people, you'll need to work in batches, which isn't convenient because you need to press down on the jar to blend. That said, it can process common smoothie ingredients like fruit and ice cubes.
The Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus isn't bad for crushing ice. It can make snow-like crushed ice, but you need to work in small batches. You need to press down on and release the jar to simulate pulse mode, which isn't as convenient as pressing a button or using an automatic blending program.
The Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus isn't good for soups because you can't safely use it to blend hot ingredients. The jars have a small 20oz capacity and are better-suited for recipes like single-serve smoothies. Still, if you let the ingredients cool, it can smoothly blend vegetables like kale and broccoli for pureed soup.
The Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus is inadequate for professional use. It's meant for blending small batches of ingredients for recipes like smoothies and protein shakes, and its jars have a small 20oz capacity. You also need to press on the jar constantly to blend, which isn't ideal if you use your blender often or need to make multiple batches. It's not particularly sturdy.
We've updated the results to more accurately reflect the blender's performance. The Fibrous Ingredients (Full Capacity) processing score changed from 7.0 to 5.5 because of the blending time and the need to press down on the jar.
The Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus (model BN301) comes in one color: 'Silver'. There's also a variant with the model number BN300C, which comes with two jars instead of three. Since it's identical otherwise, we expect it to perform similarly. You can see the label for the unit we tested here.

Note: This blender has a 700 Watt motor base, according to the manual. The box that it came in and most online ads for the blender indicate 900 Peak Watts, which refers to its power at peak performance, which you may not experience when you use the blender. There's only one version of the motor base for the Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus.

The Ninja Foodi Power Nutri DUO is better than the Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus for most purposes. The DUO has a significantly better build quality and makes silkier smoothies as well as crushed ice with a better texture. It's also much easier to clean by hand and has buttons for a few preset modes that act as timers. On the other hand, the Nutri-Blender Plus is also a good option for making smoothies, and some may prefer its smaller, more lightweight design.
The NutriBullet Pro 900 is a better blender for smoothies than the Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus. It's easier to use and makes a smoother blend with common smoothie ingredients like kale or blueberries. The Ninja Nutri-Blender Pro with Auto-iQ is better than the Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus. The Nutri-Blender Pro has a better build quality. It makes a smoother blend with fibrous ingredients like kale and has a few blending programs, so you don't need to push down on the jar to blend. It's also quieter when it's running.
The Ninja Nutri Ninja Pro is a little better than the Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus. The Pro is sturdier and makes a smoother blend with common smoothie ingredients like leafy greens. However, the Plus also makes well-blended smoothies, and it's easier to use for thick recipes like nut butter.
The Ninja Fit is a bit better than the Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus. The Fit is better built, makes a silkier puree with fibrous ingredients, and is easier to clean by hand. Its to-go lids have a better design since the to-go lids that come with the Nutri-Blender feel prone to opening accidentally. On the other hand, the Nutri-Blender comes with three 20-ounce jars instead of two 16-ounce jars, which some may prefer.
The nutribullet Pro+ is better for smoothies than the Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus. The nutribullet blends fibrous ingredients faster and produces a smoother blend. It has a much better build quality, a button for pulse mode, and comes with cup rings and travel lids for its two personal jars. On the other hand, the Ninja is easier to clean by hand. All of its components, including its blades, are dishwasher-safe. You can also use it to crush ice.
It's a small personal blender that doesn't take up much space on a counter and will easily fit into a kitchen cupboard. You can remove the jar for easier storage.
It has an okay build quality. The motor base and transmission are entirely made of plastic and rubber and don't feel very premium. The jars don't lock or screw onto the base. You simply press down on the jar and hold it in place to blend, unlike some models, like the NutriBullet Pro 900, that require you to twist the jar. The jars feel solid, but their to-go lids feel prone to opening accidentally. The Cuisinart Soho Compact Blender is a much sturdier model with to-go lids that aren't as easy to open accidentally.
The jars have a 20oz capacity. However, the maximum fill line for liquids is 18oz. Some personal blenders, like the NutriBullet Pro 900, come with bigger personal-sized jars.
This personal blender comes with three identical plastic jars, so it's ideal if you have a lot of smoothie drinkers at home. Each jar has a to-go lid, and the jars and lids are top-rack dishwasher-safe. If you want different jars for different purposes, the Beautiful Personal Blender comes with a couple of personal jars and a small 6 oz cup for sauce or dressing.
The blade assembly screws onto the jars like a lid. There are also two to-go lids with spouts that flip open and closed, as well as a storage lid. The lids all fit on any of the jars and are dishwasher-safe.
It's excellent for processing small batches of fibrous ingredients. It makes an almost completely smooth puree with ingredients like kale, which is important for well-blended smoothies. It's not the easiest to use since you need to press down on the jar to blend. It doesn't lock into place, so you need to keep your hand on the jar for the whole process. Still, it doesn't take too long to blend a small batch of ingredients for something like a single-serve smoothie.
It's great for processing fibrous ingredients at full capacity. If you use it for something like a kale smoothie, it makes a mostly smooth blend with just a few small specks left over. However, it's not quite as convenient as other personal blenders with different controls, like the Ninja Foodi Power Nutri DUO, since you need to push down on the jar constantly to blend, and it processes the ingredients a bit slowly.
It's a great ice crusher. You need to work in small batches of about four ice cubes at once, and it's not the most convenient because you need to manually press and release the jar to pulse. That said, it's still easy to use and makes snow-like crushed ice.
It's excellent for making nut butter. It doesn't take very long to make fantastic, smooth nut butter. However, it's more difficult to use than some personal blenders, like the Beast Health Blender. You need to press and hold the jar for several minutes of blending, as well as stop every few minutes to remove the lid and use a spatula to scrape off any ingredients that have accumulated on the walls of the jar.
Note: The manufacturer says not to use the blender to process dry ingredients. Since nuts (like almonds) release oil when blended, they aren't a dry ingredient. However, don't use this blender for tasks like making flour or grinding coffee beans.
It's decently quiet, so the noise is less irritating than blenders like the Ninja Foodi Power Nutri DUO.
It has one blending speed, like most personal blenders. It's fast and suitable for pureeing ingredients for recipes like smoothies, but you can't adjust the speed to suit your recipe.
The Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus is a single-speed bullet blender you operate by pushing down on the jar. There are no blending programs, but you can simulate a pulse mode by pressing and releasing in short bursts.
It's very easy to clean. Running the blender with soap and water in the jar helps remove residue from the blades and the walls of the jar. You need to use a brush to scrub the blades and the inside of the jar, but it doesn't take very long to clean completely, even if you're working with sticky ingredients.
