They’d better ask the retailer they purchased the monitor from for a refund. And the chance for succes would be the same, if not better. You can’t disable Bluetooth on LG TV’s at all, btw, even via service menu. That is, indeed, ridiculous. “Smart” features of these Samsung monitors would be a big plus I’m my eyes if not for such obvious blunders. What a shame, really…
Imo the Smart features get way too much credit. TizenOS seems nice until you realize you can just get a 4k fire TV stick that lets you do the same. Sure, it’s nice to have it built in, but it’s definitely not a dealbreaker, especially considering you might pay less for another one anyways
Bought this. I have no idea what kind of people made UI and “”“”“"SMART”“”“”“ functions, but those people deffinately don’t use product they make. Simple story: some neighbours bought iPAD and it seems it is being used by some kid because Im getting pairing requests daily, and when that happens you get a notifications on your whole screen. So yeah, you just play a game and your neighbour kid can just blackscreen your monitor. You can’t turn off the bluetooth with default settings, you can’t disable pairing requests. Its actually outrageous. I found years old topics about this on older monitor/tv models and there is still nothing you can do. Yes, I know about service remote. No, I don’t have access to buy one where I live. And using it will void your warranty. And if people from topics I mentioned earlier are right, disabling bluetooth will disable some buttons because they, for some reason, rely on bluetooth. Like what the hell is that. Never will I ever buy anything from Samsung.
This sounds ridiculous. I’m glad I gave back my G80SD and kept the Alienware AW3225QF instead. Maybe ask Samsung customer service for support
Just a heads up: The one “best monitor” rtings recommends is also, according to them, the one QD-OLED with the worst colour accuracy. I would pick the AW3225QF or the PG32UCDM instead.
I can only select 120Hz on macos. I also have the AW3225QF to compare, and there 240 Hz works fine. Does anyone else have the same issue and/or knows how to fix it? Using HDMI for the connection in both cases.
Edit: Also for some reason the G80SD recognizes my M4 Macbook Pro as Apple TV
According to macos compatibility, you are advised to use SDR for desktop mode. This recommendation isn’t given for any other OLED monitors. I ordered the Dell and I see zero issues with HDR turned on on a MacBook Pro M4 Pro chip. Can anyone clarify? Was this issue fixed?
We’re certainly open to it if they receive enough interest. You can vote for them in the headphones pipeline. Do you have hands-on experience with them?
I have them and they are absolutely gorgeous. Definitely a hot contender for the “Best Earbuds” spot. I liked them better than the Sonys.
