Update: Added link to the Shark Stratos Upright in the ‘Alternative Configuration’ section of the review to provide another option that offers a dedicated semi-handheld configuration.
This review doesn’t seem the mention that the wand/hose design makes using the wand almost impossible. You have to stretch the hose so hard to get the tool to the floor that it will eventually tear the hose.

Hi JiffyJoe,
Thank you for your feedback! We did not experience this during our initial testing and upon rechecking the vacuum, the hose is pretty flexible and easy to pull out.
Are you pulling the wand extension all the way out before trying to extend the hose? If so, I would recommend reaching out to Dyson in this case to inquire about a potential defect with your hose, since it seems to be more stiff than ours.
Thanks again for your feedback as it helps us understand potential flaws to look out for in the future. I hope you can get this issue resolved and have a great day!

My Dyson works great but is so hard to push. Is there a solution
Update: We’ve converted this review to Test Bench 1.3. We’ve overhauled our floor performance tests and added new ‘Hard Floor Pick-Up,’ ‘High-Pile Carpet Pick-Up,’ ‘Low-Pile Carpet Pick-Up,’ and ‘Pet-Hair Pick-Up’ tests. You can see the full changelog here.
