I don’t know why this isn’t included in any of your reviews estimating performance on phone calls, but there’s a huge problem as far as I can tell with any bluetooth headphones when it comes to two-way audio. The audio automatically shits itself whenever you get into a call, because apparently all bluetooth headsets have to switch this god-awful protocol for two way communication. I don’t know why this ridiculous caveat doesn’t seem to be factored into the reviews of wireless headphones - this is rated as the second highest on the site for phone calls. I’ll be listening to music and try to talk to a coworker, and suddenly hear this abject, horrifying drop in sound quality.
In practice, I just use my laptop speaker, which is not ideal at all as it picks up everything in the room. I like the headphones for listening to music, but I think I’ll either have to buy an external microphone or sell these headphones and buy an RF-powered set, and I’m not happy about it.
