Hello,
This is a great point as there is a bit of ‘noise’ with the backlight, but it isn’t actually flicker because it doesn’t turn itself off all the way - and you wouldn’t notice this noise either. You can see what real flicker looks like here where the bottom graph shows the backlight turning itself on and off. I hope this clears up the confusion!
