Big TVs (above 65 inches) are usually less competitive with their price and it isn't uncommon to see a difference of several thousand dollars between similar models. That being said, here are our recommendations for the best 70-75 inch TVs we've reviewed so far.
Best 70-75 Inch 4k TV
If no monetary constraints are at hand, top of the line picture quality can be found at these sizes.
The best 75 inch TV we've tested is the Sony XBR75X930E 4k LED TV. It features full array local dimming, so it has great picture quality.
Motion is another of the X900E's strong points: sports and video games look very fluid on this Sony 75 inch TV. Since it also has a low input lag, games are very responsive as well. Best of all though is its picture quality. The X900E has great blacks and can get quite bright so HDR movies and series look great. Its only downside is the degradation of its image when viewed at an angle, but that's fairly minor.
For something more reasonably priced, go for the Vizio P65-C1 It is less versatile, but it will do even better than the Sony in a dark room. It doesn't handle reflections well and its input lag is a bit worse with HDR games, but it's still a very good 75 inch 4k TV.
Best Budget 70-75 Inch TV
For even cheaper, 70-75 inch TVs are surprisingly good value. They can't get as bright or have as many colors but offer good performances for normal content.
The Vizio M70-D3 LED TV is the best deal amongst TVs of this size. This 70 inch 4k smart TV is very similar to the more expensive Vizio P series above, but at a fraction of the price.
It has a very good local dimming feature, so picture quality is great. Motion and input lag are both excellent as well, so fast moving sports and games work very well on this TV. It's essentially the same as its more expensive cousin, but without some HDR related features such as wide color gamut, 10 bits of color depth and high peak brightness. If you're looking for a very large TV while on a budget, then this 70 inch LED TV is the one to get.
Our recommendations above are what we think are currently the best 70-75 inch 4k TVs to buy for most people in each price range. We factor in the price (a cheaper TV wins over a pricier one if the difference isn't really worth it), feedback from our visitors and availability (no TVs that are difficult to find or almost out of stock everywhere).
A few examples of 70" or 75" TVs that didn't make the cut:
- Sony XBR75X850D. Good TV, but not better than our top picks for the same price. See our review
- LG 75UH8500. Good TV, but not much different than the Sony XBR75X850D. See our review
If you would like to do the work of choosing yourself, here is the list of all our reviews of TVs that have a 70 or 75-inch size. Be careful not to get too caught up in the details. While no TV is perfect, most TVs are great enough to please almost everyone, and the differences are often not noticeable unless you really look for them.
