The LG LF6100 LED TV has great contrast and black uniformity, so it is a good TV for movies or TV shows. However, its motion blur and high input lag prevent it from being a good gaming TV.

Our Verdict

6.4 Mixed Usage

The LG LF6100 LED TV has about the same picture quality as the cheaper LF6000, but it adds motion interpolation (up to 60Hz) and smart features. The contrast ratio and black uniformity are great, but it has too much motion blur and high input lag. It is a good TV for movies and TV shows, though.

Pros
  • Great contrast ratio.
  • Minimal reflection.
Cons
  • High input lag.
  • More motion blur than average.
  • Limited viewing angle.

  • 6.8 TV Shows
  • 6.7 Sports

You will need a wide table to accommodate this TV, because the stand has a foot on either end. Our 50" had a footprint of 40.5" x 10".

The LG LF6100 has a thin gray border around the screen which tends to stand out, rather than blending in with the room.

Unfortunately, the gray uniformity isn't as good as the black. The corners are darker and the screen has a few small dark patches all across the screen.

This LG has a VA panel, which means the color shifts when you watch the TV at an angle. The blacks are also not as great off-axis.

Update 01/06/2017: We have changed the methodology of testing. Since this is an old TV which we don't have anymore, we extrapolated the results from 2016 TVs.
