Vizio P55 Series vs Sony X900F

Just purchased a Vizio P series 55 inch model and am noticing some vignetting in the corners. Anyone else experiencing this with their P series? Are darker corners common on 4K TVs?

I was between the Vizio p and Sony X900F. Curious iwhat people prefer? Is the extra cost of the Sony worth it?

Really appreciate it!!

This does vary between units so if you send us a photo of a 50% gray slide on your TV then we can let you know how it compares to the average and if you’re likely to benefit from an exchange. Overall the Sony is a bit better TV, but it is mostly due to the better reflection handling if you’re in a bright room. Our X900F has better gray uniformity, but this does vary between units. Whether it is worth spending more depends on what you care about.

Thanks! How do you run a gray slide test?

You can use any way to display the slide on the TV. Some examples:

    • Connect your PC or laptop to the TV via HDMI, and display the slide full-screen from your TV/laptop
    • Put the slide on a USB drive and play it through the TV’s apps
    • Search on YouTube for a 50% gray slide and play/cast this to your TV

Let me know how it goes.
