Finding a free VPN on Android is about as easy as it gets; the Play Store is packed with apps boasting millions of downloads and 'unbeatable security' with no apparent cost. Finding a trustworthy steward of your data, however, can take a bit more legwork than a leisurely scroll through the Play Store.

A high star rating on the Play Store doesn't tell you much about how a provider handles your personal information. A free VPN worth using should, at the very least:
