This is an artificial HDR processing mode, designed to make SDR content look like it is HDR. This should definitely not be enabled for HDR content (not sure it even can be), and we don’t recommend it for SDR content either. It has actually been disabled on 2019 Samsung TVs, as it was causing a lot of confusion.
Adam,
thank you for the clarification. Samsung support actually told me it needed to be turned on in order to view HDR content. (Which I was sceptical about). With that being said, will HDR content automatically be displayed on this TV, or does it needed to be enabled somehow.?
