The input lag on hdmi 1-4 on my vizio p series feels about the same as hdmi 5 when I use 1080p 120hz input. 60hz signals have more input lag on those ports. So I'm wondering: Is the input lag on the Sony A1E lower when 1080p content is sent at 120hz vs 60hz?

Have had an AX55 for a couple of years, works fine. Is configured with three Wi-Fi networks: primary, guest, and IOT.

Needed to extend the Wi-Fi network, so purchased another AX55. Connected them together using the build-in EasyMesh. This does extend the network… well, it extends the primary network, but not the guest or IOT network. There is no caveat in TP-Link’s specifications for the router that warns users of this. The whole point of extending the network is to extend the WHOLE network.

Rtings might consider including test on mesh devices to report on what networks are being propagated (some or all). There is zero case where I want just one network extended.

Hey pfurrie, Thanks for the feedback. I totally agree with what you said. This is an important limitation to highlight. We are looking into boosting our test methodology for mesh network, just not sure when it’ll happen. We should be able to cover this on a future update to the methodology.

  3. Update: We’ve converted this review to Test Bench 0.8.1. This includes a new test result for our Test Configuration box.

I’ve been using the TP-Link AX55 for about a year now, and I really appreciate the in-depth reviews and testing that RTINGS provides. This isn’t the first product I’ve purchased based on your testing, and your recommendations have always been solid and reliable.

One suggestion: it would be helpful if you included more details about the settings used during testing—similar to how you do in your TV reviews, where you clearly outline the configurations that yield the best results.

For example, when using the AX55 as an access point, features like OFDMA and TWT are disabled by default by the manufacturer, which can noticeably impact performance. Including such notes would add even more value to your router reviews.

Hi iAbdulaziz! Thanks for the kind words and the great suggestion! I agree with you that we should be clearer in the review on how the test was conducted. I’ll make a note for a future update!
