I’ve owned quite a few vacuums over the years including a dyson and two years ago I picked up a used Kirby Alvair 2 for $400 and I can say with absolute confidence that it outperforms any vacuum tested on this site… and by A LOT. My friends wife has a very nice Miele and after trying out the Kirby, she went and bought one…. to my friends dismay. New Kirby’s are crazy expensive. But one thing most people don’t know about is Kirby will completely refurbish your vacuum back to factory new one time, free of charge during your ownership of their product. They send it back literally brand new even if they received it all beat to hell. I should also mention that Kirby vacuums are 100% made in USA
