For most purposes, the KitchenAid K400 is better than the Hamilton Beach Professional Quiet Blender. The KitchenAid has a better overall performance, especially for tough tasks like making nut butter. However, true to its name, the Hamilton Beach is much quieter when it's running. It's also easier to clean by hand.
