The Braun TriForce Power Pro (Braun JB9041BK) is a mid-range model that comes with a 68oz main jar. Some variants come with a 20oz personal jar for smoothies. The main jar has an unusual triangular design that the brand claims helps it blend ingredients faster and better compared to its other full-size blender, the Braun JB7201. This multi-purpose blender has 10 manual speed settings and seven blending programs that can be customized with texture settings: coarse, medium, or smooth. You can also use the 'Soup' program to heat ingredients while they blend.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro is fantastic for multi-purpose use. It's well-built and works well for most recipes. It can make a very smooth blend with fibrous ingredients, produce smooth, spreadable nut butter without much effort, and quickly crush ice. It can hot blend and comes with a personal jar for single-serves. However, some blenders are even faster and easier to use. Its main jar isn't dishwasher-safe, and it can be tricky to clean by hand.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro is incredible for single-serve smoothies. Using its 20oz personal jar, it makes a remarkably smooth blend with fibrous ingredients like kale and fruit very quickly. You only need to run its 'Smoothie' program once. The personal jar comes with a resealable lid so you can bring your drink on the go. However, if you only plan to make single-serve smoothies, you might prefer a small personal blender.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro is fantastic for multiple servings of smoothies. Its 68oz main pitcher can fit a big batch, and you can use it to make a very smooth blend with common smoothie ingredients like leafy greens and fruit with just a few unprocessed bits left over. It's not as fast as some blenders, as you might need to run a couple of 'Smoothie' programs, depending on your recipe.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro is a fantastic ice crusher. It quickly crushes a big batch of ice cubes into snow-like crushed ice. Its ice crush program works quite well, but it doesn't pulse, and you might need to stop and use a spatula to free any ice that gets stuck away from the blades. This means it isn't as easy to use as the very best ice crushing blenders, but it's a minor downside.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro is incredible for soups. Its 68oz jar can fit most recipes in one batch, and it makes a very smooth blend with fibrous ingredients like kale and broccoli fairly quickly. It can blend hot ingredients, and the 'Soups' program on the 'Smooth' setting can also heat up ingredients as they blend.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro is fantastic for professional use. It's very well-built and has a wide range of speed settings for different recipes. It's well-suited for blending fibrous ingredients for recipes like smoothies and soups, making nut butter or hummus, and crushing ice. However, it's very loud, and its main jar and blade assemblies aren't dishwasher-safe.
We've updated the review because the manufacturer changed the blender's name from the Braun TriForce Power Blender to the Braun TriForce Power Pro.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro only comes in 'Black.' The JB9040BK model comes with a 68oz main pitcher, while the JB9041BK model comes with a 68oz pitcher and a 20oz personal jar ('Smoothie2Go' jar). Our unit included the personal jar. You can see our unit's label here.
If you encounter another variant, let us know in the comments, and we'll update our review.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro is a full-size blender with a good performance for the price. If you want a full-size blender that comes with a personal jar for smoothies, it offers a better overall performance compared to options in the same price range like the Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro or the NutriBullet Triple Prep System. It's similarly good at processing fibrous ingredients like kale for smoothie recipes in either of its jars, but it also works very well for thicker recipes like nut butter, and it can hot blend. However, it's much louder than the more expensive Wolf Gourmet Pro-Performance, and its jar isn't dishwasher-safe, unlike options like the Vitamix Explorian E310.

The Vitamix Explorian E310 has a slight edge in performance over the Braun TriForce Power Pro JB9041BK. Both are well-built and versatile, but the Explorian is better for blending big batches of fibrous ingredients, is a little easier to use for recipes like nut butter, and is easier to clean by hand. However, they perform similarly overall, and the Braun model's controls include several automatic blending programs. It's sold with a 20-oz personal jar included.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro JB9041BK is better than the Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro. The Braun has a better build quality and makes a smoother blend with big batches of fibrous ingredients in its main jar. It's easier to clean by hand, has more automatic blending programs, and has a greater range of speed settings. The Ninja is a bit quieter and easier to use for crushing ice.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro JB9041BK and the nutribullet Triple Prep System have different strengths. The Braun is sturdier and better for processing thicker recipes like nut butter. It has a wider variety of speed settings for different blends, and it's a better multi-purpose blender overall. The nutribullet makes a smoother blend with fibrous ingredients in its main jar, so it's better for big batches of smoothies. The nutribullet also comes with a food processing bowl.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro JB9041BK is better for most purposes than the Ninja Blender Duo with Auto-iQ BL642. The Braun has a better build quality and blending performance for most recipes, like processing small and big batches of fibrous ingredients and making nut butter. It can also hot blend. However, the Ninja comes with three personal jars for single-serve smoothies instead of just one.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro is a big full-size blender better stored on your counter than on a shelf or in a cupboard. Here's a photo of the the blender with the personal jar installed.
It has a great build quality. The gears on both the jars and motor base are made of metal. There's a rubber centering pad on the base and rubber feet underneath that help keep it from moving around on your counter. The controls feel good quality, too. The dial has a good amount of tension and a satisfying click when turned. Most of the buttons are touch-sensitive and backlit, and it's easy to assemble the blender. The personal jar's blade assembly gasket has a tab to make it easy to remove for cleaning, which is a nice touch.
The main pitcher has a big 68oz capacity, so it's suitable for big batches of smoothies. The personal jar has a small 20oz capacity suitable for single-serve drinks.
The blender's jars and lids are are made of plastic. The lids, gaskets, and personal jar are dishwasher-safe.
The main jar's triangular design is advertised to help it blend faster and better compared to the Braun JB7201, although it's worth noting there are other differences between the two models, like the JB7201's lower motor power.
There are separate blade assemblies for each jar. The main jar's blades can't be removed from the jar, and because the blades aren't dishwasher-safe, neither is the jar. The manufacturer also recommends cleaning the personal jar's blades by hand, as they can be removed from the jar.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro is fantastic for processing small batches of fibrous ingredients. If you use the personal jar for something like a kale smoothie, it fully blends the ingredients within one 'Smoothie' cycle on the 'Smooth' setting. The result is almost perfectly smooth, with no visible unprocessed bits.
It's fantastic for processing fibrous ingredients at full capacity in its main jar. While it doesn't achieve quite the same smoothness as it does with a smaller batch in the personal jar, it makes a very smooth blend with just some tiny specks leftover. It's not as fast as some blenders, and you'll have to run a couple of 'Smoothie' cycles for the best results, but overall it's an easy process with no need for stirring or scraping with a spatula.
It's easy to use to make a big batch of snow-like crushed ice. The 'Ice Crush' program works well but might work better if it pulsed instead of running the blender continuously. You may need to stop the blender and stir since ice can get stuck away from the blades.
It's easy to use to make very smooth, spreadable nut butter. You have to run the 'Spread' automatic program a couple of times, removing the lid to stir in between and using the tamper to keep the ingredients moving. It's not the fastest process, but overall, it's quite easy.
The Braun TriForce Power Pro is a very loud blender. Standing near it gets irritating more quickly than with quieter blenders like the Ninja Professional Plus Blender DUO with Auto-iQ.
It has a wide range of speed settings to suit different recipes when you're using the main jar. There's a different range of speeds available with the personal jar: 1500 RPM minimum and a 16700 RPM maximum.
There are plenty of options for manual or automatic blending. The dial has 10 speed settings for manual blending. There are seven automatic blending programs. Except for 'Clean,' you can customize each program with a texture setting: 'Coarse,' 'Medium,' or 'Smooth.' The texture settings affect the length of the blending cycle, with the 'Smooth' setting providing the longest blending time for most settings. The texture setting can also affect the blending speed, like with the 'Ice Crush' mode, which runs at a lower speed for slightly longer if you select 'Coarse' versus 'Medium.' The 'Soup' program set to 'Smooth' heats up the ingredients as they blend. The digital display counts down the blending time for each program. There's also a power switch on the side of the motor base.
It's somewhat difficult to clean by hand. The blades can't be removed from the jar, so you have to reach into the jar with a sponge or brush in order to clean them properly. They're sharp, so you may want to use a brush with a handle for that. There are some ridges in the lid and jar that need extra attention, and a gasket that must be removed from the jar's lid to clean it properly.
