The Coway Airmega Mighty2 is a mid-range air purifier intended for use in medium-sized spaces. It's a follow-up to the popular Coway Airmega Mighty AP-1512HH, with a redesigned body, an updated control scheme, and a new power setting. Our Verdict
The Coway Airmega Mighty2 is a great choice for pet owners. It has a high enough clean air delivery rate to operate effectively within moderately large spaces like living rooms and big primary bedrooms, and it can easily keep up with periods of especially poor air quality, like shedding or grooming season for your cat or dog. It also runs very quietly, and shouldn't prove to be a massive disturbance even for more skittish pets. While it's slightly smaller than its immediate predecessor, it's still a little on the bulky side.

The Coway Airmega Mighty2 is an excellent option for bedrooms. Even at lower, quieter fan speeds, it'll deliver a sufficiently high clean air delivery rate for use in most bedrooms. While there's no companion app or even a remote control, it can still provide a pretty hands-off user experience for overnight use; its laser particle sensor allows it to automatically change its fan speed depending on air quality, while its ambient light sensor dims its controls and quiets its fan when it's been left in a dark room. Its one main downside is bulk: it's simply too big to fit on a dresser or nightstand.

That said, it's still liable to struggle in really big open-concept areas, like a full basement.

The Coway Airmega Mighty2 is better than the Levoit Vital Pet Pro. The Coway's max CADR is considerably higher than that of the Levoit, allowing it to operate in bigger spaces more effectively. This performance advantage holds at lower fan speeds, too, with the Coway being the better option for larger primary bedrooms. The Levoit's main advantage is its comparative lack of bulk, which makes it a little easier to squeeze into a smaller office or nursery.
The Winix C909 is a higher-performing air purifier than the Coway Airmega Mighty2. The Winix holds a slight edge in terms of clean air delivery rate at both its highest fan speed and in low-noise configurations, enough to provide the same level of air quality within an equivalently-sized room more than 15% faster in either case. The Winix also features Wi-Fi connectivity, so you can operate the unit through your smartphone: depending on your own concerns regarding data privacy, this could either be a nuisance or a must-have feature. With all that said, the Coway is slightly smaller, making it easier to fit in tighter spaces, and noticeably quieter at lower fan speeds, all the better for overnight use in bedrooms.
The Coway Airmega Mighty2 holds a slight edge over the Levoit Vital 200S in most key areas. The Coway Airmega Mighty2 is an improvement over the Coway Airmega Mighty AP-1512HH. While neither is especially small, the Mighty2's slightly slimmer design makes it a little easier to wedge up against a wall without it being a tripping hazard. While the Mightyy2's increased surface area isn't really reflected in terms of its maximum clean air delivery rate, with both units being all but identical in this regard, the newer model delivers far better performance at lower, quieter fan speeds, making it the better option for overnight use.

Like the older Coway Airmega Mighty AP-1512HH, this unit features a built-in laser particle sensor and indicator light, which changes color depending on nearby air quality :

You can turn off the lights on the display by pressing and holding the 'Ionizer' button for three seconds.
Beyond the standard three fan speed settings, this unit also features a Sleep mode for low-noise operation and a Turbo setting for increased airflow in bigger areas. There's also its automatic Smart mode, which can automatically toggle between different fan speed settings depending on air quality, or even switch to the low-noise Sleep mode if its ambient light sensor detects that it's been placed in a dark room for more than 3 minutes. You can have it ramp back up to its initial speed setting by tapping any of its controls.
This unit features a three-stage filtration system, fairly standard for an air purifier in this price bracket. There's a washable pre-filter and a combined activated carbon for odor reduction, and a HEPA-rated filter for common allergens like dust or pollen. The latter is independently HEPA certified as per the IESP-RP-CC007 testing standard.
