The Levoit Core 600S is a higher-end air purifier intended for larger spaces. It's considerably larger than other models in Levoit's Core lineup and features a more powerful 49W motor. That aside, it does share a similar range of convenience features, with a built-in air quality sensor, smartphone app integration, and support for voice commands made through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices. Unlike cheaper Core models, it also features a built-in light sensor that automatically dims its display in dark rooms.
Our Verdict
The Levoit Core 600S is great for pet owners. It does a fantastic job of trapping smaller airborne allergens, even in larger rooms, and the activated carbon layer in its filter system can help minimize odors. Its smartphone app integration also lets you control it while you're away from home. That said, it makes quite a bit of noise when running at higher fan speeds, so you might want to keep it away from your pet if they're sensitive to loud noises.
Very high CADR at max fan speed.
- Companion app integration.
- Noisy at higher fan speeds.
The Levoit 600S is good for bedrooms, though it could be considered slightly overkill for small spaces. It boasts fantastic overall filtration performance. The built-in light sensor also automatically turns off the display when you turn off the lights in your room. While it's quite loud at its highest fan speed, it doesn't make much noise in 'Sleep' mode, though this will hurt performance.
Very high CADR at max fan speed.
- Companion app integration.
- Noisy at higher fan speeds.
- Bulky form factor.
The Levoit Core 600S has an amazingly high particle filtration rate. Its CADR is sufficient for it to operate efficiently as an independent unit in open-concept living areas or even an entire studio apartment.
Very high CADR at max fan speed.
- Noisy at higher fan speeds.

The Levoit 600S is a Wi-Fi-enabled air purifier intended for use in large rooms. It offers excellent overall filtration performance and has a wide range of convenience features that make for a hands-free user experience. That said, this model's very large footprint makes it a bit of a hassle to place, so the smaller, cheaper Levoit Core 400S might be the better option for smaller spaces.

The ring of lights around the power button changes color based on the current air quality:
- Blue: Very good
- Green: Good
- Yellow: Moderate
- Red: Bad
Tapping the 'Display Off' button turns off all of the device's indicator lights and the night light. On that subject, the night light features two levels of brightness. The 600S also has a light sensor that automatically triggers the Display Off function when it detects a dark room. The device's lights will also automatically illuminate if you turn the lights on in a dark room. However, it's important to note that you must enable this function in the VeSync smartphone app.
The VeSync companion app also lets you remotely adjust the device's fan speed, set operating schedules, and send filter-replacement reminders. You can also use it to view a real-time estimate of air quality.
This air purifier has a three-stage filter system comprising a pre-filter for trapping larger airborne particles, a primary filter for dust and mold, and an Activated Carbon filter to minimize odors. You'll only need to clean the pre-filter with a soft-bristle dusting brush or vacuum regularly, but make sure not to damage any other parts of the filter system during cleaning.
You'll need to replace this filter assembly every six to 12 months, and you can find a replacement here.
The Levoit Core 600S' particle filtration rate is excellent. At its highest fan speed, its CADR is sufficient to make it an effective option even in especially large dining rooms or living areas.
The Levoit Core 600S is a decently quiet unit overall. At its lowest 'Sleep' setting, its operating noise is barely above a whisper, and it won't be much of a disturbance if you run it overnight in your bedroom. Outside of 'Sleep' mode, the next quietest setting yields an operating noise of 39.4 dB: far from obnoxious, but definitely a noticeable increase. It gets very loud at its highest fan speed, to the point where it's likely to be a nuisance if it's running while you're watching TV nearby.
