Version 1.3 of our air purifier testing methodology expands our test coverage by adding a scored component to our measurement of an air purifier's dimensions.

Why Are We Making These Changes?

Older versions of our testing methodology provide a unit's overall dimensions, but are devoid of any score, in the 'Body' section of the review.

Our new methodology separates the dimensional data of an air purifier from its weight, power cord length, and whether or not it's fitted with wheels, and places that data within the new 'Footprint' test. This change makes it easier for you to determine at a glance whether an air purifier is well-suited to your home and how space-efficient its overall design is by attaching a score to this data.
