The Levoit Core Mini-P is the most compact air purifier in Levoit's lineup, designed for very small spaces like bathrooms, nurseries, dorm rooms, and home offices. It uses a three-stage filtration system with a pre-filter, a particle filter, and an activated carbon filter intended to reduce odors. It lacks the smart features found on many of Levoit's larger models, such as app connectivity, air quality monitoring, and automatic fan adjustment, but it does include an aromatherapy compartment that lets you add essential oils to add fragrance to the air while it runs.
Our Verdict
The Levoit Core Mini-P is a bad choice for pet owners. While it runs quietly enough to avoid disturbing noise-sensitive cats and dogs, its limited airflow means it takes longer to clear pet dander, fur, and dust from the air. At best, it can help maintain cleaner air in very small spaces, like a nursery, bathroom, or compact home office. If you have multiple pets, a more heavily-shedding pet, or a larger room, you'll want something considerably more powerful. The built-in essential oil compartment is also unlikely to be much of a bonus, as many essential oils are toxic to pets.
Exceptionally quiet operation.
Small, space-saving design.
No smartphone app connectivity or remote control support.
Clean air delivery rate is only suited for smaller spaces.
The Levoit Core Mini air purifier is a decent option for bedrooms, provided the room isn't very large. Its limited airflow makes it a poor fit for larger primary bedrooms, but it's better suited to small bedrooms, nurseries, or similar spaces where its air-cleaning performance is more appropriate for the room's size. It's also exceptionally quiet, even at its highest fan speed, making it easy to run overnight without disrupting sleep. Its compact size is another advantage, as it fits comfortably on a nightstand. This keeps its controls within easy reach from bed, which is especially helpful since the purifier lacks both remote control support and smartphone app connectivity, requiring all adjustments to be made directly on the unit. The display also turns off completely after about a minute of inactivity, which is useful for light-sensitive sleepers. It also includes an aromatherapy compartment for those who find scented air helpful for falling asleep.

Clean air delivery rate is only suited for smaller spaces.
The Levoit Core Mini-P has poor particle filtration performance. Its low clean air delivery rate means it struggles to keep up in anything beyond a very small space, and in larger rooms, it'll take considerably longer to make a dent in filtration for dust, pollen, smoke, and other fine particles.
Clean air delivery rate is only suited for smaller spaces.

Popular Air Purifier Comparisons
The Levoit Core Mini-P is the smallest air purifier in Levoit's lineup and makes significant compromises in air-cleaning performance to achieve its compact footprint. Within Levoit's Core series, the Levoit Core 200S delivers substantially higher clean air delivery rates than the Levoit Core Mini and adds smart features such as smartphone app connectivity, voice assistant support, and scheduling. More broadly, compact options like the PuroAir 240 offer stronger particle filtration and an air quality sensor with automatic fan adjustment, which the Mini lacks entirely. The Core Mini-P does stand out in noise performance, however, outperforming even high-end compact models like the Dyson HushJet, and its built-in aromatherapy compartment is a fun feature not often found in air purifiers.

The Levoit Core 300 is a much better air purifier than the Levoit Core Mini-P. While both have compact footprints and simple control schemes, the Core 300 delivers dramatically stronger air-cleaning performance, making it suitable for bedrooms, dorm rooms, and home offices that would quickly overwhelm the Mini-P. It also offers more flexibility through a range of specialty replacement filters, including options tailored for pets, smoke, and odors. The Core Mini-P is smaller, quieter, and includes a built-in aromatherapy compartment, though its much lower clean air delivery rate limits it to very small spaces like bathrooms, nurseries, and walk-in closets.
The Levoit Core 200S is a better choice for most people than the Levoit Core Mini-P. While both are compact air purifiers, the Core 200S delivers substantially stronger air-cleaning performance and can handle a much wider range of spaces. It also adds smartphone app connectivity, voice assistant support, scheduling, and timers, giving it a more hands-off user experience. The Core Mini-P's main advantages are its lower price, smaller footprint, and exceptionally quiet operation, along with its built-in aromatherapy compartment. However, its much lower clean air delivery rate limits it to very small spaces, like bathrooms, nurseries, and walk-in closets.
The PuroAir 240 is a better air purifier overall than the Levoit Core Mini-P. Its substantially higher clean air delivery rate makes it far more effective at removing airborne particles in bedrooms, home offices, and other small living spaces. Neither purifier offers smartphone app connectivity, remote control support, or voice assistant integration, but the PuroAir does include an air quality sensor with automatic fan adjustment, allowing it to react to changes in air quality without requiring manual intervention. The Levoit's main advantages are its smaller footprint, lower price, exceptionally quiet operation, and built-in aromatherapy compartment. That said, the PuroAir is a much better fit for the room sizes in which most people actually use an air purifier.
The Winix C610 is a dramatically more capable compact air purifier than the Levoit Core Mini-P. Its much higher clean air delivery rate allows it to effectively clean the air in medium- to large-sized bedrooms, living rooms, and home offices, whereas the Levoit is really only suited for very small spaces. The Winix also offers a far more feature-rich experience, with smartphone app connectivity, air quality monitoring, automatic fan adjustment, scheduling, and voice assistant support. That said, the Levoit has a significantly smaller footprint, is noticeably cheaper, and delivers exceptionally quiet operation, even compared to the Winix at its lower fan speeds.

The Levoit Core Mini-P has a very simple control scheme, with just a power button and three fan speed indicators on top of the unit. There's no smartphone connectivity, remote control, timer, or automatic mode with an air quality sensor, though it does include a filter replacement indicator so you'll know when it's time for a new filter.
The display shuts off automatically after about a minute of inactivity, and you can't manually adjust the brightness, so you're entirely dependent on the auto-off function if light is a concern for bedroom or nursery use.
The Levoit Core Mini-P uses a three-stage filtration system comprising a pre-filter, a particle filter, and an activated carbon filter. It's worth noting that Levoit sometimes markets this model as having either a three-stage or four-stage filtration system. The discrepancy stems from Levoit splitting the pre-filter into inner and outer layers in some marketing materials, even though both layers function as a single stage. The pre-filter captures larger debris, such as dust, lint, hair, and pet fur; the particle filter targets finer contaminants, such as smoke, pollen, and dander; and the activated carbon filter is intended to reduce household odors and fumes. That said, activated carbon filters generally require a significant amount of carbon material to be effective, and given this unit's compact size and thin carbon layer, those with serious odor concerns should temper their expectations. You can read more about carbon filters in our air purifier performance research.
Unlike the larger Levoit Core 300S, the Core Mini-P doesn't offer specialized filter options, so you're limited to the standard configuration. Levoit recommends cleaning the pre-filter every two to four weeks and replacing the full filter assembly every four to six months. Replacement filters can be found directly through Levoit. Replacement filters can be found directly through Levoit.
One notable extra is a built-in aromatherapy compartment that lets you add a few drops of essential oil to fragrance the air while the purifier runs. It won't improve filtration performance, but it's a nice touch for anyone who prefers a lightly scented space without a separate air freshener.
This air purifier has poor particle filtration performance. Even at its highest fan speed, it moves relatively little air, making it suitable only for very small spaces such as bathrooms, nurseries, large walk-in closets, or compact home offices. In larger rooms, it takes a long time to reduce airborne particles, making it a poor choice for managing allergens, dust, smoke, or pet dander in a typical bedroom or living area. Its low airflow significantly limits its overall effectiveness.
This air purifier has poor low-noise particle filtration performance. Its air-cleaning performance changes very little across its fan speed settings, so its low-noise and maximum-performance results are nearly identical. In practical terms, there's little additional air-cleaning performance to gain by running it at higher speeds, but it also remains relatively quiet throughout its operating range. While this makes it well-suited for noise-sensitive spaces, its limited airflow restricts it to very small areas.
This air purifier delivers remarkable noise performance. It stays exceptionally quiet across its fan range, making it easy to run in bedrooms, home offices, and other living spaces without becoming a distraction. Even at its highest setting, it produces noise comparable to the gentle hum of a refrigerator, fading into the background rather than competing with conversation, TV audio, or nearby activity.
