It also offers a more customizable exterior with interchangeable fabric pre-filters. That said, the 5530 is smaller and quieter at its lowest fan speed, and its PlasmaWave ionization system can be turned off, whereas the Blueair's HEPASilent ionization technology can't be disabled.
