The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium is SEBO's mid-size bagged canister vacuum, sitting between the compact K-series and the full-size D4 in the brand's lineup. As the Premium version of the E-series, it comes with the ET-1 Electric Powerhead for carpet cleaning and a parquet floorhead for hard floors. The canister also has SEBO’s Airbelt soft bumper, which wraps around the body to help reduce scuffs on furniture and walls while you clean. Like other SEBO canisters, it uses a sealed body with an S-Class filtration system.
Our Verdict
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium is an excellent vacuum for cleaning a house. Since it's corded, you never have to worry about running out of battery mid-clean, and the cord is long enough to cover large rooms without switching outlets often. Pet owners will appreciate that it picks up hair from floors and furniture exceptionally well, leaving barely any trace behind. It also feels sturdy and well-assembled, and the multi-stage filtration system keeps the air clean while you vacuum. Bare floor and carpet pickup are passable, but you may notice some debris left behind on both surfaces.
Bagged filtration system is impressively effective.
Corded design provides unlimited runtime.
Feels well-built and made to last.
Effectively lifts pet hair from carpets and upholstery.
Very heavy with ET-1 floorhead.
Struggles to pick up larger debris on bare floors.
The SEBO AIRBELT E3 Premium is a great vacuum for small apartments. The multi-stage filtration system is a major advantage in smaller spaces because it prevents particles from recirculating into your room. It's relatively compact for a canister vacuum and features on-board tool storage, so you don't have to worry about storing the accessories. Pet hair pickup is a standout strength; it clears hair from both floors and furniture while leaving very little behind. General debris pick-up is adequate but not outstanding, so you may need to do an occasional spot cleaning for larger debris.
Bagged filtration system is impressively effective.
Effectively lifts pet hair from carpets and upholstery.
Stores compactly.
Struggles to pick up larger debris on bare floors.
Leaves debris behind in corners and along baseboards.
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium is a passable option for cleaning stairs, but its weight significantly holds it back. At over 22 lbs with its ET-1 floorhead, hauling the canister up and down stairs is a chore. Once you get it into position, the long hose and cord give you enough reach to clean several steps without having to reposition, which helps offset the awkwardness of carrying it. Bare floor and carpet pickup are mediocre, so you may need extra passes for a thorough clean. On the bright side, pet hair pickup is a strong suit, and the impressive filtration keeps dust contained even in the enclosed space of a stairwell.
Bagged filtration system is impressively effective.
Effectively lifts pet hair from carpets and upholstery.
Long cord and hose give you enough reach to clean several steps from one position.
Very heavy with ET-1 floorhead.
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium is an okay choice for cleaning a car. As a corded canister vacuum, it's not the most practical form factor for reaching into a vehicle; you need a power outlet nearby, and maneuvering the canister body around a car is cumbersome. That said, if you do have an outlet in your garage, the long hose and included crevice tool let you reach into tight spots between seats and along door panels. It handles pet hair on upholstery well, which is useful if your pets ride in the car regularly. Unfortunately, it doesn't include a turbo brush for cleaning car upholstery.
Effectively lifts pet hair from carpets and upholstery.
Comes with a crevice tool for reaching into gaps.
Needs to be plugged into an outlet.
Lacks turbo brush.
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium offers mediocre bare floor pickup. Using the included Standard Parquet Floorhead, the vacuum picks up fine particles like dust reasonably well, but it struggles with larger debris. Bigger pieces tend to get pushed around rather than suctioned up. We also tested with the ET-1 powerhead to see if it fared better. It picked up a bit more, but still didn't do a great job. SEBO does sell a Premium Parquet Head separately that handles larger debris much better, but it's not included in the box. On the bright side, the vacuum handles cracks and crevices in flooring remarkably well due to its powerful 1200w motor, pulling debris out of gaps between planks and grout lines, leaving very little behind.
Clears debris from cracks and gaps in flooring remarkably well.
Struggles to pick up larger debris on bare floors.
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium's ability to lift debris from carpets is mediocre. On low-pile carpet, the powerhead picks up most fine particles but leaves some debris behind, particularly along baseboards and in corners. Performance is similar on high-pile carpet. The vacuum does a decent job picking up fine particles, but again leaves some debris behind, and scatters some around as it cleans.
Picks up most fine particles.
Leaves debris behind in corners and along baseboards.
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium offers outstanding pet hair pickup. On carpeted floors, the powerhead clears pet hair almost completely, leaving only a few strands behind. The brush roller itself stays remarkably clean after you use it, with almost no hair wrapping around it, which saves you time on maintenance. On furniture, the upholstery tool picks up pet hair effectively, though you'll want to use Max suction for the best results. The tool doesn't agitate the fabric as aggressively as a turbo brush would, so you may need a few extra passes on heavily covered surfaces.
Effectively lifts pet hair from carpets and upholstery.
Pet hair doesn't wrap around the brushroll.
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium provides great air quality control. The multi-stage filtration system captures airborne particles during cleaning, preventing dust and allergens from recirculating into your home. While the filtration system performs well, it's worth noting that the filters don't carry an official HEPA certification. Because this is a bagged vacuum, emptying it produces very few airborne particles. That said, the bags don't seal perfectly, so they do release a small amount of dust.
Multi-stage sealed filtration captures airborne particles effectively during cleaning.
Bagged design keeps most particles contained when you empty it.

Popular Vacuum Comparisons
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium is a high-end mid-size bagged canister vacuum. It sits in the middle of the SEBO Airbelt lineup, offering the same electric powerhead as the larger SEBO Airbelt D4 but in a more compact body with a smaller bag and shorter cord. The E3 uses a larger dirtbag than the more compact SEBO Airbelt K3 Premium, allowing you to clean for longer before having to replace the bag. That said, the biggest differences in performance are largely due to the floorheads that ship with each model. The E3 comes with the Standard Parquet Floorhead, while the D4 and K3 ship with the Premium Parquet Floorhead, which performs much better on hard floors.
In the broader canister vacuum market, SEBO's Airbelt series outperforms most other models. However, if anyone in your household suffers from allergies, models like the Miele Guard S1 Electro and the Miele Guard L1 Electro feature bags with a tighter seal, so they do a better job of keeping fine particles contained.

The SEBO Airbelt K3 Premium and the SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium excel in different areas. The K3 is lighter, cleans hard floors significantly better, and is more maneuverable, largely thanks to the Premium Parquet Floorhead. The E3, on the other hand, has a more powerful motor, offers better carpet cleaning performance, and has a larger dirt compartment, letting you clean for longer. If your home is larger and has mixed flooring, the E3 might be the better choice.
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium and the SEBO Airbelt D4 are both high-end canister vacuums, but the D4 is the better choice for most people. They share the same ET-1 powerhead, so pet hair pickup and carpet performance are essentially the same. The D4's advantages come from its larger size: it has a much longer cord that covers large rooms without switching outlets, and a bigger dirtbag that needs replacing less often. It also has notably better bare-floor debris pickup because of its Premium Parquet Floorhead. The E3's advantage is that its construction provides a better seal for particle filtration.
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium and the Miele Guard L1 Electro are both similarly-sized premium bagged canisters with electric powerheads. The L1's air quality is its primary advantage; it has exceptional particle filtration performance, and disposing of its dirtbag produces minimal dust. It also feels a bit sturdier and maneuvers more smoothly around furniture. The E3 does a better job pulling debris from cracks, so it's a good choice if you have older wood floors. The E3 uses larger dirtbags, so replacements are less frequent, and its floorhead features a removable brushroll. Both struggle equally with larger debris on bare floors, plowing bigger material forward instead of passing over it to suck it up. Carpet performance is also similar.
The SEBO Airbelt E3 Premium and the Miele Guard S1 Electro are both bagged canister vacuums with electric powerheads. The S1 is lighter, making it much easier to carry between floors, and offers much better particle filtration, keeping the air cleaner when you change the dirtbag. The E3's main advantages are its larger dirtbag, which lowers long-term replacement costs, and its floorhead's removable brushroll. A dedicated parquet floorhead for bare floors, though both vacuums struggle with larger debris on hard surfaces.
