The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is a flagship cordless stick vacuum. It uses a 400 AW suction motor and includes a docking station that recharges the vacuum and empties its dustbin. It uses AI to automatically set the suction level and brushroll speed based on the floor surface it detects. The Active Dual Brush floorhead has an unpowered soft roller in the front and a powered bristled main brushroll surrounded by felt pads. There's also a HEPA filter to seal in dust.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra delivers a decent overall experience on bare floors. It does a good job with fine material on bare floors, though its floorhead pushes around medium and large debris. It's fairly light and portable, making it easy to maneuver on bare floors. The build quality is good, and it's impressively easy to maintain. It delivers excellent airflow with surprisingly little noise. You can empty its adequately-sized dustbin into the docking station's sealed dustbag; the dustbag is the only item you need to replace regularly. But it's heavier than its predecessor, the Samsung Bespoke Jet, and its handle design makes it tiring to clean under furniture.
Very quiet.
Emptying the dustbin into the sealed dustbag in the base station is convenient and hygienic.
Low recurring cost, just the base station's dustbag.
Very good portability.
Good build quality.
Medium and large debris is plowed ahead due to the floorhead design.

The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is a flagship cordless stick vacuum, the latest and greatest in Samsung's line of Jet cordless stick vacuums. The Bespoke versions have multifunction docks that recharge the vacuum and empty the dustbin. Samsung upgraded the 210 AW motor in the earlier Samsung Bespoke Jet to an immensely powerful 400 AW motor, yet the AI Jet Ultra's performance barely exceeds its predecessor at a considerable extra cost. You can't use all this power to your advantage and have to turn down its powerful motor, or you'll run out of battery power in minutes. The Samsung Jet 90 Complete has better or comparable performance, but gives up the emptying dock. However, none of these perform as well as Dyson's flagship, the Dyson Gen5detect/Gen5detect Absolute.
If you're looking for other alternatives, check out our recommendations for the best cordless vacuums, the best stick vacuums, or the best vacuum cleaners with good suction.
The Dyson V15 Detect is a better vacuum than the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra. The Dyson performs better on most floor surfaces, especially on bare floors. The Dyson also comes with more tools, is lighter, and is easier to store. However, you can empty the Samsung's dustbin into its base station, a feature unavailable with Dyson.
The Dyson Gen5detect/Gen5detect Absolute is a better vacuum than the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra. It performs better on nearly every floor surface, including on cracks, and delivers better suction due to its superior floorhead design. All this is despite the Samsung's more powerful suction motor. However, Samsung Bespoke vacuums come with an auto-empty base station, a feature Dyson doesn't offer.
Though the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is equipped with a 400 AW suction motor and sets suction and brushroll speed automatically by AI, it doesn't perform much better than the older Samsung Bespoke Jet. Its marginal performance increase doesn't justify its price premium over the Bespoke Jet.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is a better vacuum than the Miele Triflex HX2 Pro/Cat & Dog. The Samsung delivers better performance on carpets and is easier to maintain. You also get an auto-empty base station with the Samsung. But the Miele offers better battery life, although with a much longer recharge time.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra feels well-built. It's made of high-quality, thick plastic, with a metal wand and rubber wheels with metal axles. Everything feels quite sturdy, with minimal creaking and flexing. You can clip the attachments on easily because the fittings are high quality. The base station is just as well-built as the portable components, and the two covers over the dustbag are easy to open. However, the dustbin doesn't feel as sturdy as the rest of the vacuum.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is very easy to maintain. While there are many parts to maintain, they're all easy to access.
It's easiest to empty the dustbin automatically by placing it in the docking station because emptying it manually involves pressing a release latch in a hard-to-reach location close to the vacuum's hose inlet. The micro filter is easily accessible, and you can remove the cyclone by simply twisting it free. That said, in order to access the fine dust filter, you'll need a screwdriver. Both the primary and secondary rollers can be pulled out of the floorhead, and neither has closely-packed bristles that would make removing pet hair a pain.
Maintaining the base station is just as easy. You only need to pull and twist out the motor pre-filter, shaking it to remove dust. To access the dustbag, remove the cover from the base station and open the inner cover. Replace the bag as needed.
Complete maintenance instructions and diagrams are available in the user manual on Samsung's website.
The only recurring cost of the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is the dustbags in the base station. You can get a 5-pack of dustbags from Samsung's website. Samsung expects the filters to last the lifetime of the device—there's no recommended maintenance or replacement interval, though you should replace the micro filter if it starts to emit odors or is damaged.
The base station is quite tall, and its circular base is wide. When you store the vacuum on the base, it extends beyond the edge of the base, making the whole assembly even deeper than you would expect. Our unit also had no storage for the attachments.
While this vacuum's dirt compartment size in the portable component is small at 0.1 gal (0.375 L), the dustbag in the base station offers significant extra space, giving the vacuum an impressive total capacity. The transparent dustbin has a maximum fill line and should prove sufficient for at least one cleaning session. You can empty it easily and hygienically into the base station.
The base station won't normally operate without a dustbag installed, but we found a jammed plastic tab on our unit which permitted this. You should check your base station to ensure proper installation of the bag.
Clean Station
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is cordless, so its range is limited only by its battery and the space left in its dustbin. The Bespoke models all have extendable wands, allowing you to adjust the height to your needs.
This vacuum is very portable. It's notably heavier than its predecessor, the Samsung Bespoke Jet, but it'll still be easy to carry around from room to room or up and down stairs. However, the handle is awkwardly designed, creating strain on your wrist if you hold the vacuum horizontally since the center of mass is located too far towards the floorhead, twisting the handle upward.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra's battery life is subpar. We obtained the minimum battery life with the suction manually turned to high-power JET mode and the floorhead disconnected. With the floorhead connected, we found the battery life at maximum power to be 15 minutes on hard floors and 13 minutes on carpets, so adding the floorhead reduces the suction motor power draw. This reduction is likely a limitation of the battery.
With the suction turned down to MIN, we verified Samsung's claim that this is a 100-minute battery. While this figure is lower than its predecessor, the Samsung Bespoke Jet, this vacuum outperforms the older model when you run it on lower power due to its higher capacity battery. It uses one 3970 mAh battery versus two 2500 mAh batteries.
We also found that the battery life estimate on the display was inaccurate by 15-45%.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra has a few quality-of-life features. You can control some of them, but the AI determines other settings when you connect the Active Dual Brush floorhead and set the power mode to AI. You can override the AI by manually selecting another mode. Use the + and - buttons to cycle between low-power MIN mode, AI mode, the default MID mode, the higher power MAX mode, and the all-out JET mode for the toughest messes. A simple power button is between these buttons, and above is a display showing the power mode, remaining battery life, and alerts.
The docking station connects to WiFi and Samsung's SmartThings app on your phone and has a button to start or stop the cleaning cycle.
Our model didn't come with many accessories like variants in other parts of the world. The combination tool is both a soft bristle tool and an upholstery tool, and the crevice tool is extendible. This vacuum is compatible with the Spray Spinning Sweeper mopping attachment, which is available separately from Samsung.
The vacuum delivers poor performance on hard floors. The unpowered soft roller pushes medium and large debris away from the brushroll, and the felt strips on both sides and the rear of the brushroll also exclude some fine material. It plows large amounts of debris forward. The small amount of larger material that does make it to the brushroll gets caught in the tight space between the brushroll and the floorhead housing. It doesn't get picked up by the brushroll and gets redeposited when you pick up the floorhead.
Setting the suction power manually to JET doesn't improve performance, and setting it lower to MID shows that the suction power isn't the issue, since the result is still the same.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra offers satisfactory performance on high-pile carpets. It picks up more material than on hard floors because the unpowered soft roller at the front of the floorhead pushes the debris down into the carpet, where it gets picked up by the primary brushroll rather than pushed ahead by the unpowered secondary roller. But the vacuum still leaves some debris behind, including a fair amount of fine material embedded in the carpet. As well, note that it took 15 seconds for the AI to reconfigure the vacuum for this test.
Manually turning the suction power up to JET didn't make much difference.
This vacuum offers good performance on low-pile carpets when you manually set the suction power to JET mode. The unpowered soft roller pushes debris down into the carpet where the brushroll passing behind can pick it up, and the agitation from the brushroll is high enough to move more embedded fine material up out of the carpet than in high-pile carpets. There's still some material left behind, though.
Letting AI determine the settings in this test was problematic. The sensing process takes roughly 10 seconds, and if we started moving the floorhead before AI configured the vacuum, it might be at a disadvantage. Placing the floorhead in the small carpeted area behind the debris gives an unfair advantage because the agitation propels fine debris around ahead of the testing pass, and some fine debris ends up getting sucked up before the test starts. We reoriented the carpet to allow AI to reconfigure the vacuum settings, and the result was a little worse, with more fine debris left behind.
This vacuum has good suction power at its floorhead in AI suction mode. It provided more suction in its highest-power JET mode, but not much more than the Samsung Bespoke Jet with the same floorhead but a weaker suction motor. It delivered considerably less suction at the floorhead than the Samsung Jet 90 Complete and other Jet vacuums with much weaker motors but different floorheads. Floorhead design has a much larger role than suction motor power when measuring floorhead suction. The Bespoke models use the same large dual-roller floorhead design while the Jet models use a smaller single roller floorhead, focusing the suction over a smaller area.
Note: This unit should have a higher maximum hose suction than the older Samsung Bespoke Jet. However, our unit detected a blockage when we removed the floorhead and placed the wand directly on our suction test port, and it would only run for a few seconds before shutting down.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra's 400 AW suction motor provides excellent airflow, which is higher than that of other cordless vacuums and even higher than that of a much larger corded vacuum like the Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra/Complete. It's also higher than our top recommendation, the Dyson V15 Detect, and would have no trouble picking up large debris were it not for its floorhead design.
This is a quiet cordless vacuum, a little quieter than the older Samsung Bespoke Jet vacuum. The AI lowers the suction motor so low that it shouldn't be too disruptive to you, your family members, or your pets. On bare floor, the sound level on MID mode was comparable to the AI mode at 67.2 dBA; on carpet, the sound level on MAX mode was 68.8 dBA, which seems to be the setting the AI chose.
The clean station was much louder at 73.5 dBA when it performed its empty cycle. With no attachments and the suction power on JET mode, the vacuum's sound level was an intolerable 81.7 dBA.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra delivers good maneuverability. It feels light in the hand, and the wand is long enough to clean right to the back under deep furniture. It does well on rugs and doesn't get caught up in rug tassels, provided you keep the floorhead moving so the brushroll doesn't stall.
The AI takes 10 seconds to sense the surface type and adjust suction power and brushroll speed. This wait shouldn't be an issue for big cleanings of the entire floor, but it might prove annoying for short jobs. The handle design and weight balance make the vacuum uncomfortable to use under furniture or shelves for long periods. And though the vacuum works well with the soft brush tool in handheld mode on top of furniture, it's too bulky to maneuver in tight shelves, and attaching the tool to the wand makes it too long and even harder to use.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra does an impressive job cleaning up pet hair on furniture using its Pet Tool attachment. This tool is lightweight and easy to use, though the limited hinge movement means you'll have to reorient how you hold the vacuum as you clean from different angles. However, the exhaust airflow is so strong that it can blow loose hair up into the air, creating a minor mess as it cleans tight spaces.
This vacuum's HEPA-rated filter effectively seals away fine particles, making it a good choice for pet owners or those with allergies.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra does an adequate job cleaning cracks in AI suction mode. It picks up a fair amount of fine material, particularly from longitudinal cracks, but scatters a bit, leaving it behind. It doesn't do a good job of cleaning deep cracks.
It does better in JET mode but consumes much of its battery—20% in one pass over this small test area. Using the crevice tool and the MIN suction setting would be much better, where the suction is tightly focused, and the motor should still provide enough suction without draining the battery.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra with its Active Dual Brush floorhead does a terrible job on stains, which is hardly surprising. The Spray Spinning Sweeper attachment, not included with this variant, is designed for this sort of mess and does a good job with stains on the Samsung Jet 90 Complete using the comparable Spinning Sweeper.
