The eufy Omni S2 is a premium robot vacuum with a roller mop. It's the successor to the eufy S1 Pro and comes with an all-in-one dock that empties the dustbin into a dustbag, refills and drains the water tanks, washes the mop with hot water, and dries it with hot air. The dock also makes a disinfecting cleaning solution from tap water and has a built-in fragrance diffuser that diffuses a scent into the room as the robot vacuum cleans. The robot vacuum lifts its body and mops on carpet, and its extending side brush reaches into corners. It maps with a 3D time-of-flight sensor instead of a LiDAR turret, and it spots obstacles with an RGB-D depth camera, with a bump sensor as a backup.
Our Verdict
The eufy Omni S2 isn't ideal for homes with a mix of floor types, mainly because it doesn't clean carpet well. If your home is mostly hard floors, it handles everyday debris, but it leaves some behind even in open areas and misses debris along baseboards and in corners, so you'll need to touch those spots up manually. It also does only an okay job on dried-on spills, so you'll often need a second pass. On the plus side, it steers around most things on your floor, including pet waste. The dock empties the dustbin and washes the mop. Carpet is where it struggles, though. It leaves debris behind on both low-pile and high-pile carpets, with a lot left along walls and in corners, and it leaves a large amount of pet hair behind, so it's not a good fit if you have carpeted rooms or shedding pets.
Consistently avoids pet waste.
Dock handles day-to-day maintenence.
Navigates around household obstacles well.
Fails to lift pet hair from carpets.
Doesn't lift stains effectively.
The eufy Omni S2 isn't the best choice for pet owners, especially if you have carpets and shedding pets. It leaves a large amount of hair behind, so you can't rely on it to keep your rugs clean. It does only an okay job on dried-on spills, so you may need a second pass over spots pets leave on hard floors. Many parts also need regular cleaning, and several need it often, which adds up when you're already dealing with pet messes. That said, hair doesn't wrap around the brushroll, which spares you a common pet-owner chore. The dock also empties the dustbin and washes the mop, so you handle less of the mess yourself. It also consistently avoids pet waste and runs quietly enough not to frighten skittish pets.
Consistently avoids pet waste.
Dock handles day-to-day maintenence.
Runs quietly, so it's less likely to scare your pets.
Fails to lift pet hair from carpets.
Needs a lot of upkeep, with many small parts to clean regularly.
Doesn't lift stains effectively.
The eufy Omni S2 does an okay job on hard floors, but it falls short along baseboards and in corners. It picks up most of the larger debris in open areas, but it leaves some fine and medium-sized debris behind after each pass. It leaves even more dirt along baseboards and in corners, even with its extending side brush, so you'll still need to touch those spots up manually.
Picks up most larger debris in open areas.
Leaves some fine and medium-sized debris behind.
Leaves debris along baseboards and in corners.
The eufy Omni S2 doesn't clean carpet well. Even with its carpet setting on, it leaves debris of all sizes behind in open areas on both low-pile and high-pile carpets, and it leaves even more along baseboards and in corners. It also embeds some dirt into the carpet fibers rather than picking it up. If you have carpeted rooms, you'll need to vacuum them manually on a regular basis.
Leaves a lot of debris behind on carpets.
Leaves debris along baseboards and in corners.
Leaves debris behind in open areas.
Embeds debris into carpet fibers.
The eufy Omni S2 leaves a lot of pet hair behind on carpet, so it won't keep up with shedding pets. It also drags some hair around instead of picking it up.
Fails to lift pet hair from carpets.
Drags some hair around instead of picking it up.
The eufy Omni S2 handles most obstacles well. It recognizes objects, avoids pet waste consistently, and rarely needs you to step in, especially on bare floors. It also cleans under low tables and mostly steers clear of mirrors. Tasseled rugs are the biggest problem because the robot vacuum gets stuck, and you'll need to intervene to free it.
Consistently avoids pet waste.
Navigates around household obstacles well.
Rarely needs rescuing.
Cleans under low furniture.
Gets stuck on rugs with tassels.

Popular Robot Vacuum Comparisons
The eufy Omni S2 is a flagship vacuum-and-mop combo and the successor to the eufy S1 Pro, competing with premium models like the Roborock Saros 20, the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete, and the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete. It's hard to recommend above any of its competitors, though. It steers around clutter reliably and avoids pet waste consistently, but it falls short when it comes to cleaning performance. It leaves debris behind on hard floors and carpet, struggles with pet hair, and barely dents dried-on stains. If you have mostly hard floors, the older S1 Pro is the better choice, since it picks up more debris and handles stains much better. If you want the strongest cleaning overall, the Roborock Saros 20 clears hard floors, carpet, and pet hair far more thoroughly. If your home has a lot of carpet, the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete is the better pick.
If you're still deciding, our picks for the best robot vacuums cover the strongest models overall, and the rankings for best robot vacuums for hardwood floors and the best robot vacuums for carpet show which models clean best on each surface.
The eufy Omni S2 and eufy S1 Pro are both high-end vacuum-and-mop combos with similar designs, but the older S1 performs better overall. It picks up more debris on bare floors, and its roller mop clears dried-on stains much more effectively. The one place the newer S2 has the edge is when it comes to adapting to your household's layout. It cleans around furniture more smoothly and clears slightly taller thresholds. The S1 Pro spots and avoids small items on the floor slightly better, but both handle most clutter well. Neither is ideal for plush carpet or shedding pets. The S2 also adds a fragrance diffuser, but its scents are strong and chemical-smelling, so most people can skip it.
The eufy Omni S2 and MOVA V50 Ultra Complete are both high-end vacuum-and-mop combos with all-in-one docks, but the eufy performs better overall. It cleans carpet much more thoroughly, picks up more pet hair, and picks up much more debris on hard floors. It's also easier and cheaper to maintain because it has fewer parts to wash, costs less to keep running, and has a dock that holds more debris before you swap the bag. The V50 handles clutter a little more reliably, too, and it climbs taller thresholds. Mopping is a trade-off. The V50 scrubs dried-on stains more effectively and leaves your floors drier, but its spinning pads spread dissolved residue onto the clean floor around the stain, while the Omni S2's roller mop keeps stains contained but struggles to actually remove them.
The eufy Omni S2 and Roborock Saros 20 are both premium vacuum-and-mop combos with all-in-one docks, but the Saros 20 is the stronger overall performer. It picks up much more debris on hard floors and carpet, and it lifts far more pet hair. It also fits under much lower furniture, climbs taller thresholds, and requires less laborious upkeep. The Omni S2 makes more sense if you want a robot vacuum you can leave running unattended. It avoids obstacles far more reliably, and it steers around pet waste consistently, while the Saros 20 can't be trusted around accident-prone pets.
The eufy Omni S2 and Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete are both high-end vacuum-and-mop combos with all-in-one docks, but the X60 is the better option for most people. It cleans carpet much more thoroughly and leaves less pet hair behind. Its retractable sensor tower also lowers so it can clean under furniture that the S2 skips by default. It climbs taller thresholds, too, though you have to mark them on the map first. It asks less of you for upkeep and costs less to keep running. The two perform about the same on hard floors, and neither lifts dried-on stains impressively. The S2 makes more sense if you want a robot vacuum you can leave running unattended because it's less likely to get tripped up by everyday household clutter.

The eufy Omni S2 feels well-built, thanks to its premium plastic-and-rubber construction and sturdy components, with a design similar to the eufy S1 Pro. The squarish body feels well put together, and the parts fasten together securely. The dustbin clips are satisfying to press and make removal easy. The dirty water tank also slides in and out smoothly, so you won't need to force it to seal the way you do on the S1 Pro. There are a few minor downsides to be aware of: the bumper attracts fingerprints and doesn't feel quite as sturdy as the other components. The side brushes also need a screwdriver to remove, which adds a step when you replace them.

The eufy Omni S2 is very laborious to maintain because more than 10 parts across the robot vacuum and dock need regular cleaning, and several need it often. On the bright side, everything is easy to access: the dustbin, filters, brushroll, roller mop, and water tanks all come out easily. You can pull hair off the brushes by hand, though the vacuum spits out a hairball. The dock handles washing the mop and emptying the dustbin for you. The dustbag seals itself when you pull it out, so fine particles don't escape back into the air. That said, a few design choices make the process trickier. You have to flip up a hinged cover and pull off the brushroll, which adds an extra step; you also need a screwdriver to remove the side brushes and a tool to pry out the swivel wheel. You also have to work around the clean water tank to swap the dock's dustbag.
You can find full cleaning instructions in the manual.

This robot vacuum's dustbin is very small, and its cup-shaped design holds only a tiny amount of debris. In a larger or messier home, the robot vacuum will have to head to the dock to self-empty often. The water tanks are also quite compact, with 120 mL for clean water and 150 mL for dirty water.

The dock offers strong station maintenance capabilities, handling most routine upkeep for you. It empties the robot vacuum's dustbin into a dustbag, refills the clean water tank, and collects dirty water. It also washes the roller mop with hot water and dries it with hot air. The dustbag is rated for 2.5 L but holds closer to 1.7 L in practice, so you'll have to swap it sooner than the advertised size suggests. The 3 L clean water tank and 2 L dirty water tank both lift out easily for refilling and rinsing.
The dock also runs the mop water through electrolysis to sterilize your floors, which eufy claims removes 99.99% of germs. This releases a small amount of ozone into the air, which eufy says is safe, and you can turn the feature off if you're sensitive to ozone.

The battery life is outstanding. On its strongest suction setting, the robot vacuum cleans for over 1.5 hours, and on its lowest setting, it runs for over three hours, so you can cover large floor plans before it needs to recharge. The robot vacuum heads back to the dock on its own when the battery runs low, and you can replace the removable battery yourself once it wears down.

This model has two side brushes, one of which is extendable.

This model has the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum. You can choose between vacuum-only and vacuum-and-mop cleaning, and you can clean the whole home, specific rooms, or any zone you create. It also has four suction levels, three pathing options, three mop wetness levels, and a choice of one or two passes, plus an automatic mode that picks settings for you.
The standout feature is a fragrance dispenser that runs the robot vacuum's exhaust through a scented pod to freshen up the room as it cleans. The scents are quite strong and smell chemical-like and quite artificial, but you can leave the pod slot empty if anyone in your home is sensitive to fragrances.

This robot vacuum does a mediocre job of picking up debris from hard floors. With its default Standard suction and Standard pathing, it leaves some debris of all sizes behind after each pass, and it shoots some around as it cleans. It struggles even more along baseboards and in corners, despite its extending side brush. If your home is mostly hard floors, you'll need to sweep or vacuum those areas manually sometimes to keep them clean.

This robot vacuum does a poor job of cleaning high-pile carpets. With Standard suction and pathing and its carpet setting on, it leaves debris behind after a pass, and it drags or embeds some into the fibers instead of picking it up. Edges and corners are much worse, leaving even more dirt behind. If you have thick, plush carpeting, you'll need to vacuum manually to keep it clean, especially along baseboards and in corners.

This robot vacuum does a poor job of cleaning low-pile carpets. It struggles to pick up debris of any size with Standard suction, pathing, and its carpet setting on. It embeds some dirt in the fibers, but it struggles most along baseboards and in corners, leaving lots of dirt behind in those areas. If you have low-pile carpets or rugs, dirt will slowly build up over time since this robot vacuum can't clear it effectively.

The eufy Omni S2 does a bad job of lifting pet hair from carpets. It leaves a lot of hair behind on carpets when using Standard suction and pathing with the carpet setting on. It also drags some hair around as it cleans instead of collecting it. If you have shedding pets and carpeted floors, you'll need to go over the carpet with another vacuum regularly to keep it hair-free.

This robot vacuum's mop struggles to remove dried-on stains. It takes several passes to make any impact, so you'll need to make sure it goes over the same spot a few times for trickier stains.

This robot vacuum leaves a noticeable amount of water on your floors as it mops. On the lowest setting, floors end up only slightly damp, but on the highest setting, you'll leave much more moisture behind. If you have moisture-sensitive floors like hardwood or laminate, stick to the lower settings.

This robot vacuum is very quiet and shouldn't disturb you as it cleans. Like all robot vacuums, it gets louder at higher suction levels, but it still operates at a tolerable volume. On carpet, the robot vacuum automatically increases suction when you leave the carpet setting on, and it sounds louder than on hard floors.

The eufy Omni S2 adapts well to your home. It cleans under low furniture and mostly avoids mirrors, only lightly bumping into them before identifying them. It does a pretty good job around thin items like chair legs and coat racks, but it does nudge them a little. It gets stuck on tasseled rugs and needs you to step in to free it. Mapping and navigation also gave it trouble, particularly in smaller areas, so you may see it re-map often.
for videos & test results
The eufy Omni S2 spots and navigates around most of the things you leave on the floor, and it rarely needs rescuing. It uses cameras and light-based sensors to recognize objects, and it avoids pet waste every time, which is important if you have accident-prone pets. It still misses some items and performs worse on carpets than on bare floors, so it's best to pick up cables and small things you don't want it to run over before you start a cleaning run.
for videos & test results
The eufy Omni S2 plays it safe around low furniture, so by default, it skips the space underneath it entirely. You can switch to Exploration Mode, which allows it to be more adventurous, but it doesn't work well. The robot vacuum thinks something is blocking its way, even when nothing is. Turning off its sensor safety measures doesn't fix that either, as it still reports an obstacle and then tries to squeeze into a tight space anyway. Ultimately, if you have low sofas or beds in your home, plan on cleaning those areas manually.

The eufy Omni S2 climbs over standard door thresholds without trouble, so you can expect it to move between rooms and onto rugs without needing assistance, though it does struggle with taller thresholds. Its sensors can also see over small lips, which can throw off its sense of where it is. In small spaces, this sometimes sends it into a loop of repositioning and remapping instead of cleaning.

The eufy Omni S2 does a mediocre job of lifting stains, even with its deepest cleaning mode and the highest water setting on. A second pass helps a little, so you'll likely need to run it over stubborn spots more than once.
While you need the app for most advanced functionality, some physical controls handle basic commands. On the robot vacuum, you press one button to start or pause cleaning and another to send it back to the dock, and you can hold both together to reset the Wi-Fi or restore factory settings. The dock has its own start/pause and return buttons, plus a mode button that switches between vacuum-only and vacuum-and-mop. The dock's screen shows the robot vacuum's mode, so you can check it at a glance. The dock's start button also lets you resume a task while it empties the dustbin or washes the mop.

The eufy Omni S2's app offers most of the features you'd expect for a premium robot vacuum. A Maintenance tab walks you through each upkeep task with step-by-step instructions and videos, and a Community page offers extra help.
That said, the app can feel sluggish and has a few minor bugs. The map also lacks markers for common features like thresholds and curtains, which other brands like Dreame and Roborock have offered for years. You also can't lift the robot vacuum's chassis from the app.
You can see it in action in our app walkthrough.
