The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is a mid-range robot vacuum with mopping ability. MOVA is a new sub-brand of Dreame, and this robot vacuum is virtually identical to the Dreame L40 Ultra. It comes with a self-emptying dock that refills the vacuum's clean water tank, empties its dirty water tank, washes its mop pads with hot water, and dries its mop pads with hot air. The side brush and one mop pad are mounted on extendable arms to get into edges and corners. The robot vacuum uses LIDAR for mapping and navigation, along with 3D structured light and an RGB camera for obstacle recognition and avoidance.
Our Verdict
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra offers adequate performance for cleaning a household with multiple floor types. It's good for vacuuming hard floors, where it leaves only a little fine debris behind, and it offers amazing obstacle handling in even a cluttered home. Its full-featured multifunction dock takes care of daily maintenance tasks like emptying the dustbin, refilling and draining the mop water, and cleaning the mop pads. It does a decent job of mopping as well. Unfortunately, it doesn't use its side brush on carpets, leaving all material along walls and in corners, and its brushroll doesn't provide enough agitation to pick up pet hair embedded in carpets.
Exceptional obstacle avoidance.
Extendible side brush is very effective along walls and corners on hard floors.
Full-featured multifunction dock takes care of many maintenance tasks.
Can't use its side brush on carpet.
Doesn't pick up debris along carpet edges and corners.
Poor pet hair pickup.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is a decent choice for pet owners. Its obstacle avoidance is so advanced that you won't need to worry about it touching pet waste accidents, and its stain cleaning performance is decent enough to clean up any dirt or mud that gets tracked in. It's very easy to clean pet hair from the brushroll, and the full-featured multifunction dock takes care of most daily maintenance tasks. It's also quiet and shouldn't disturb your pets. However, the brushroll lacks the agitation necessary to pick up embedded pet hair from carpets, so you'll need several cleaning passes.
Exceptional obstacle avoidance.
Full-featured multifunction dock takes care of many maintenance tasks.
Quiet.
Poor pet hair pickup.
Brushroll lacks agitation.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra delivers good performance on hard floors. It uses its extendible side brush quite effectively along wall edges and in corners on hard floor surfaces, cleaning all medium and large material. It does leave a little fine debris behind, though.
Extendible side brush is very effective along walls and corners on hard floors.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra performs poorly on carpets. Since it doesn't use its side brush on carpets, it misses all material along walls and in corners. On high-pile carpets, it does a decent job along its brushroll path, but on low-pile carpets, the brushroll doesn't provide sufficient surface agitation to lift away fine debris from the denser, stiffer low-pile carpet fibers.
Can't use its side brush on carpet.
Doesn't pick up debris along carpet edges and corners.
Brushroll lacks agitation.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra delivers a disappointing performance when cleaning up pet hair from carpets. Its brushroll lacks the agitation necessary to pick up embedded pet hair, and it drags surface hair around, redepositing it on the carpet and pressing the hair into carpet fibers.
Poor pet hair pickup.
Brushroll lacks agitation.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra offers excellent obstacle handling performance. It's great at navigating around a room, avoiding obstacles, and hardly ever gets stuck or needs intervention. Its obstacle avoidance system is superb, even avoiding common robot vacuum traps like dangling USB cables. You won't have to clean up before this vacuum cleans up because it can recognize and avoid most common household obstacles.
Exceptional obstacle avoidance.
Great at adapting to household obstacles.

Popular Robot Vacuum Comparisons
MOVA is a sub-brand of Dreame, and the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is really a Dreame L40 Ultra with different trim and a slightly more powerful suction motor. However, Dreame/MOVA has also had a year of development and firmware improvements to incorporate into the P10 Pro Ultra. The two robot vacuums have similar performance, and both perform well. However, the P10 Pro Ultra greatly improves obstacle avoidance, competing very favorably with flagships like the Roborock Saros 10R and Dreame X50 Ultra in this regard. Unfortunately, edge cleaning on carpets isn't the P10 Pro Ultra's strong suit since it turns off its side brush on carpet. If you have a lot of carpet and want better edge cleaning in a similar price class, consider the eufy E20, though you'd have to give up any mopping ability.
Take a look at other alternatives in our recommendations for the best robot vacuums, the best robot vacuums for hardwood floors, and the best robot vacuums for carpet.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is a better robot vacuum than the Dreame L40 Ultra it's based on, but only if you have mostly hard floors. Dreame has made improvements in the MOVA P10, and it has better hard floor pickup due to its increased suction and better obstacle avoidance due to firmware changes and advancements in AI object recognition. It also has better battery life and better mopping performance. But the MOVA can't use its side brush on carpets, unlike the Dreame, so it can't clean wall edges and corners on carpets. This severely hampers its performance on carpets.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is a better robot vacuum than the Dreame L10s Ultra. The two robot vacuums perform similarly on most floor surfaces, with carpet cleaning not being a strong suit of either, but the MOVA improves on the Dreame's already impressive obstacle avoidance. The MOVA also offers better battery life and a shorter recharge time.
The Roborock Qrevo S is a better robot vacuum than the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra. It offers better performance on all floor surfaces and slightly better mopping performance. It also has a multifunction dock with similar capabilities. However, the Roborock can't match the MOVA's outstanding obstacle avoidance.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is a much better robot vacuum than the budget eufy L60, offering decent mopping, better hard floor pickup, better battery life, and vastly improved obstacle avoidance. But the eufy's performance on carpets is better since it's able to use its side brush on carpets, so it cleans along wall edges and in corners on carpets where the MOVA can't.
Test Results

The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra feels sturdy and solidly built. It's composed of thick, premium plastic, with the wheels and brushroll made of rubber, transparent material over the sensors, silicone-covered buttons, and a side brush made of synthetic fiber. The robot vacuum has a glossy finish on the top and sides and a matte finish elsewhere. Here's a photo with the mop pads removed. The dock is almost entirely glossy white plastic, even the mop cleaning tray. The only weak area is the hinged top lid on the robot vacuum—the hinges are a little unstable when the lid is open.
Externally, the robot vacuum and the dock appear nearly identical to the Dreame L40 Ultra and similar to the Dreame L10s Ultra.
This robot vacuum has many parts that require regular cleaning and maintenance, but most parts are easy to access. The brushroll does get tangled with hair, though it's very simple to remove and clean. If hair tangling becomes a problem, you can replace the default brushroll and purchase an anti-tangling brushroll that cuts tangled hair as it rotates. All other parts are easy to remove and service, with only the side brush and omnidirectional wheel requiring a pry tool or screwdriver. You can easily remove the dustbin by opening the hinged top panel, and you can then access the filter simply by opening the dustbin's hinged cover and removing the filter, tapping the dust out against a garbage can.
The dock does most of the daily maintenance for you, refilling and draining the mopping water tanks and washing and drying the mop pads. It uses a self-cleaning washboard to keep itself clean, though you can use an included brush for extra scrubbing. You'll need to refill the clean water tank, empty and clean the dirty water tank, and replace the dustbag.
See MOVA's manual for complete details.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra has high recurring costs, and you'll need to replace many expensive parts frequently. The parts are available from MOVA's website; we've added the links below.
- Brushroll: Replace the brushroll every six to 12 months. You can replace it with the optional Tri-Cut brushroll, which cuts hair from the brushroll as it rotates, and you can replace the rubber strips along the Tri-Cut brushroll as they wear, buying them in a four-pack.
- Filter: You'll need to replace the filter every three to six months.
- Side Brush: You should replace the side brush every three to six months.
- Dustbag: Replace the dustbag in the multi-function dock every two to four months. They're available in three-packs.
- Mop pads: MOVA recommends you replace the mop pads every one to three months. You can buy them in a pack of four.
- Multi-surface cleaner: You can buy this optional cleaning solution in a one-liter bottle.
You can also buy these parts bundled in an Auxiliary Cleaning Kit, which includes:
- 6x mop pads
- 2x dustbags
- 2x filters
- 2x side brushes
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra's multifunction docking station is identical to the Dreame L40 Ultra's, except the dustbag compartment cover has a different color. Its self-empty function uses 3.2 L dustbags, and it fills the robot vacuum's mopping water from a 4.5 L clean water tank, emptying the dirty water into a 4 L dirty water tank.
The dock heats the water for more effective and hygienic mop pad cleaning, cleans its mop tray, and dries the mop pads with warm air.

This robot vacuum offers remarkable battery life, with minimum battery life in Max+ mode and maximum in Quiet suction mode. It's a slight improvement over the Dreame L40 Ultra. The robot vacuum returns to the dock at 14% power to recharge, and you can schedule the recharging during off-peak hours.
This is an extremely full-featured robot vacuum, virtually identical to the older Dreame L40 Ultra. You can use the physical buttons on the top of the unit to control a very small subset of features, and the app to control the rest. Select MOVA's CleanGenius to use AI to select all the settings for you based on the robot vacuum's sensor data.
You can also control every feature manually, choosing between Quiet, Balanced, Turbo, Max, and Max+ suction modes for each Vacuum task and 32 wetness settings for each Mop task. You can run these jobs in any order and assign them to different rooms of your house based on floor type. You can also run between one and three cleaning cycles.
When cleaning carpets, you can set the robot vacuum to Vacuum, where it will lift the mop pads in order not to dampen carpets, or Vacuum & Mop, where it won't vacuum when it goes out on a mopping task, or won't mop when it goes out on a vacuuming task. You can also set the vacuum to Ignore carpet settings for rooms with bare floors, or Avoid carpets altogether. Unfortunately, one feature absent on the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra versus the Dreame L40 Ultra is the ability to use the side brush on carpets.
This robot vacuum features an extendable side brush and mop pad to clean edges and corners, and you can control this using AI-Driven SideReach, AI-Driven MopExtend, Mop Extension for Gap Cleaning (for gaps under a fridge, for example), and Intensive Cleaning for Furniture Legs. There are also two experimental features: Stain Recognition, which enables more intensive mopping when the sensors recognize a stain, and Large Particle Boost, which increases suction power when the sensors detect large debris.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra delivers good pickup performance on hard floors using the Standard pathing and suction settings. It picks up medium and large debris on its cleaning path and along edges and corners using its extending side brush. It leaves some fine debris but does better than the older Dreame L40 Ultra, due in part to its slightly increased suction, 13,000 Pa versus 10,000 Pa.
This robot vacuum does an acceptable job cleaning debris off high-pile carpets using Standard suction and pathing with Carpet Boost. It picks up most fine, medium, and large debris directly under its brushroll, but since it can't use its side brush on carpets, it leaves all material along walls and in corners.
This robot vacuum does a poor job on low-pile carpets with the Standard suction and pathing settings and Carpet Boost activated. It clears medium and large debris from its brushroll path but has difficulty removing fine material from the stiff, dense low-pile carpet fibers due to the low surface agitation of its brushroll. It doesn't use its side brush along walls or in corners, so it leaves all material in these areas.
This robot vacuum performs poorly picking up pet hair from carpets, using Standard suction and pathing with Carpet Boost on. Its brushroll doesn't provide enough agitation to lift embedded pet hair, and it drags around surface hair, redepositing it and pressing the hair further into the carpet fibers.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra delivers very good airflow and is powerful enough to lift heavy debris.
This is a fairly quiet robot vacuum when you use the Standard suction setting on bare floors and the Standard suction with Carpet Boost mode on carpets. You won't find it overly disruptive to conversation or TV viewing when it's going about its cleaning.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra does a great job of adapting to obstacles. It has no trouble with furniture like sled-base chairs, cleaning the area underneath them thoroughly without climbing up the legs and potentially getting stuck. Floor-length mirrors don't trick its obstacle avoidance system; it lightly contacts the mirror once, then marks it as an obstacle and avoids it. While it tends to push loose tasseled rugs around rather than cleaning them, at least it doesn't get caught up in the tassels, and it avoids the rug after its first encounter.
It can't fit under low furniture but doesn't venture into these low spaces where it might get jammed. It also avoids problematic areas like underneath coat racks—it lightly touches the legs but doesn't attempt to clean underneath, avoiding the area entirely so it won't get stuck.
This robot vacuum offers outstanding obstacle avoidance performance. MOVA has improved the Dreame L40 Ultra's obstacle avoidance system considerably, despite the MOVA using the same combination of RGB camera, 3D structured light, infrared proximity, and bump sensors. The vacuum hardly ever touches obstacles and won't need any intervention on your part. It does well around USB cables, which is a frequent problem for even flagship robot vacuums.
This robot vacuum's tall, protruding LIDAR sensor means it can't get under low furniture.
This robot vacuum does a great job crossing tall thresholds. It performs remarkably well for a robot vacuum lacking the specialized climbing hardware found in the flagships.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra does a terrible job of sealing in fine particles. All fine particles get blown out into the air from its exhaust port. The filter is ineffective at retaining fine particles, which might cause problems for pet owners and allergy sufferers.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra doesn't pick up debris from cracks and crevices very well, which is typical for a robot vacuum. The suction inlet is too high off the floor to form an effective seal, and the side brush scatters fine debris. There's little difference in Max+ suction mode.
This robot vacuum delivers decent stain cleaning performance using the highest 32 water flow setting, the Deep Pathing mode, and with detergent mixed into the water. This performance is noticeably better than the older Dreame L40 Ultra. Cleaning with plain water resulted in about the same performance, though detergent resulted in a much more pleasant odor of the mop pads after cleaning.
The dock does a fairly good job of cleaning the mop pads, either with detergent or without detergent. It also cleans its mop cleaning tray quite well, regardless of the addition of detergent.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra has very basic controls on its top panel to access a few physical automation features, but you need to use the app to control the rest of its extensive set of features. With the unit on, you can press the Power/Clean button to start cleaning; pressing and holding this button toggles the power state. Pressing the Spot Cleaning button starts a spot cleaning cycle where the robot vacuum cleans a small area immediately surrounding itself. If you press the Dock button, the vacuum will return to the dock to self-empty, and if you press and hold this button, you can turn on or off the Child Lock, which disables all the other buttons.
The MOVAhome app is extremely full-featured, yet easy to use. The app is almost identical to the Dreamehome app with only minor differences. You can watch a video covering all the menus and settings.
Like most other robot vacuum apps, you can view and edit maps for multiple levels of your home, create cleaning schedules, and adjust various vacuuming and mopping settings for each room.
In addition to toggling Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance, there's a menu for Pet Care. Here, you can set Pet Avoidance or Strategic Cleaning of the area around the pet furniture you've added to the map. If it's shedding season, you can set an increased Auto-Empty frequency, or if your pet has sensitive skin, you can select Mopping with Minimal Moisture. The robot vacuum can also Capture Pet Pictures as it cleans.
You can adjust various settings for the multifunction dock, including Auto-Add Detergent, Auto-Wash the mop pads before a mopping task, as well as control the intensity of the mop washing, the temperature of the wash water, and alter the drying time.
There are also settings for the Real-Time Camera, including Quiet, Weak, or Strong notifications that the real-time camera is active. In Live Video Mode, you can control the vacuum, take photos and videos, take pet pictures, have a two-way conversation, and toggle the Fill Light.
The General Features menu tracks the usage of the various consumable parts, plus other settings for Off-Peak Charging, Child Lock, Cleaning History, and Do Not Disturb mode, including turning off the button lights.
