Levoit Vital 200S vs Winix 5500-2

The Winix 5500-2 and Levoit Vital 200S are evenly matched air purifiers. Both deliver similar particle filtration performance and a sufficiently high clean air delivery rate for larger spaces. That said, there are a few differences. Only the Levoit is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing you to pair the device with your smartphone for remote control and air quality monitoring. Conversely, unlike the Levoit, the Winix features its PlasmaWave system, a form of bipolar ionization that generates positively and negatively charged ions to help neutralize airborne pollutants. Like other ionization technologies, it produces trace amounts of ozone as a byproduct, though Winix states its ozone emissions remain below established safety limits. If you prefer not to use this feature, it can be turned off.
