The Ultimate Ears EPICBOOM is a more premium alternative to the Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM 3. The EPICBOOM is a larger speaker, and it can bring a more extended low bass. Also, it gets louder and has an Adaptive EQ room correction tool, which the MEGABOOM 3 lacks. If you want a more portable device, you may prefer the MEGABOOM 3.

We do not put the advertised battery life in our comparison. We performed a battery life test using a test tone by calibrating the speakers 1m away to 80 dB. We then play the same playlist used for the battery-draining test for our speakers.
We will re-measure the battery performance of the Epicboom and update the review if necessary.
Hello, you have made a mistake on the battery life on both speakers. The epic boom has 17 hours battery life and the megaboom has 20 hour battery life. Thanks
