The BELLA 2-Slice Slim is an affordable toaster designed to fit in small spaces as part of BELLA's 'Fits-anywhere' lineup. It has a single long slot with room for two slices of sandwich bread or one longer slice of homemade or bakery bread. There's a dial with six shade settings and a cancel button, but beyond that, this simple toaster doesn't offer any extra features, including the typical bagel and frozen settings found on most toasters.
Our Verdict
The Bella 2-Slice Slim is a middling option for everyday use despite offering solid toasting performance. Since it's a long slot toaster, there's room for longer slices of homemade or artisan bread, but the slots aren't very deep, so taller slices may stick out the top. In terms of features and settings, you'll find a dial with six shade settings and a button to cancel the toasting cycle, but that's it. There's no way to see when your toast will be ready, to toast just one side of a bagel, or to quickly add extra toasting time for frozen items. Having said that, it toasts quickly and evenly. Your toast comes out well-browned on both sides, though you'll notice some differences depending on where you place it in the slot. When you're finished toasting, you'll have to clean some crumbs off your counter, since this model isn't very good at containing them.

Popular Toaster Comparisons
The BELLA 2-Slice Slim Toaster is a simple, budget-friendly toaster with just one long slot, giving it a narrow, space-saving design. It's even more compact than other one-slot toasters, like the Dash Clear View Long Slot, but its design also leaves room for fewer quality-of-life features. It has a shade selector with six options and a cancel button, but unlike the Dash, it doesn't have buttons for toasting bagels or frozen items, or a way to see when your toast will be ready. In terms of toasting performance, however, these models are very evenly matched. They both produce evenly browned toast quickly and offer a wide range of shade settings, so you can have your toast just the way you like it. Many standard two-slot toasters produce even better toast, however. The Black+Decker 2-Slice Toaster T2569B, for example, toasts bread more similarly on both sides and finishes toasting a bit faster. If you're looking for a compact, affordable 2-slice model that toasts more evenly than the BELLA, the Hamilton Beach 2 Slice Toaster with Extra-Wide Slots 22217 is one option, though it takes a little longer to finish toasting and might not fit longer slices of homemade or bakery bread.

The Black+Decker 2-Slice T2569B is a better toaster than the BELLA 2-Slice Slim for almost everyone. It toasts more evenly than the BELLA, so your toast comes out well-browned on both sides, batch after batch. It has wider slots, so you can use it for thicker slices of Texas toast or sourdough, and it offers more features. Neither option can toast on one side only, but while the BELLA has only a shade selector and a cancel button, the Black+Decker has buttons for bagels and frozen items that add more time to a toasting cycle. It also leaves fewer crumbs on your counter. That said, as a long-slot toaster, the BELLA can accommodate longer slices of homemade or bakery bread, and its single slot means it fits into narrow spaces a typical two-slot toaster won't, so you may prefer it if you have very limited counter space.
The Hamilton Beach 2 Slice Toaster with Extra-Wide Slots 22217 is better than the BELLA 2-Slice Slim for most people. Both toasters are simple, budget-friendly options that toast quickly, without drying out your bread, but the Hamilton Beach toasts more evenly, leaving your bread uniformly browned on both sides. It also leaves fewer crumbs on your counter. That said, as a long-slot toaster, the BELLA gives you more room for longer slices, and because it only has one slot, it can fit into narrow spaces that the Hamilton Beach is too wide for.
The Oster 2-Slice Toaster with Quick-Check Lever and the BELLA 2-Slice Slim are both compact, budget-friendly toasters. While neither offers particularly impressive performance overall, they both make pretty good toast and offer benefits that make them worth considering. Get the Oster if you want extra quality-of-life features, like the 'quick-check lever,' which lets you check toasting progress mid-cycle or buttons for bagels and frozen items, which add a little time to a toasting cycle. Get the BELLA if you care about speed, since it finishes toasting faster, leaving your bread evenly browned on the outside and soft in the center. Thanks to its long slot, the BELLA also gives you space for longer artisanal slices that don't fit in a regular 2-slice toaster.
The Dash Clear View Long Slot is a better toaster than the BELLA 2-Slice Slim for most users. While the BELLA makes very good toast, the Dash makes great toast. It browns each slice evenly and pops them back up quickly, so your toast doesn't dry out before you get a chance to butter it. It has a button for bagels that lets you toast only one side of a bagel or bun, and wider, deeper slots, so you can toast your favorite bread without worrying it'll stick out the top. The Dash also features a viewing window, so you can keep an eye on its progress. Of course, if your main consideration is saving space, you may still want the BELLA, since it takes up significantly less room on your countertop.
Test Results
This toaster has a very narrow, plastic body. Before use, the user manual recommends running the toaster once without bread to burn off any manufacturing residue. During this initial run, we noticed that the plastic in the center of the toaster started to bow outward, likely due to the heat.
If you like this toaster's design but need more capacity, consider the BELLA 4-Slice Slim, which has two long slots.
