The Black+Decker 2-Slice Toaster is a budget-friendly toaster with a plastic body. It has a dial with five presets, as well as bagel and frozen settings. Its plastic design makes it lighter than metal toasters, which is nice if you want to store it on a shelf and move it onto the counter when you're ready to use it. Its slots are on the wider side, so it's well-suited for thickly sliced bread.
Our Verdict

Differences Between Sizes And Variants
This toaster comes in one 'Black' variant; you can see the label for the unit we tested here. It also comes in a 4-slot variant, the BLACK+DECKER 4-Slice Toaster with Extra Wide Slots, which has the same design but may perform differently.
If you encounter another variant, let us know in the forums, and we'll update our review.
Popular Toaster Comparisons
The Black+Decker 2-Slice Toaster is a budget-friendly toaster. It has a better toasting range than similarly-priced models like the Oster 2-Slice Toaster with Quick-Check Lever and the Hamilton Beach 2 Slice Toaster with Extra-Wide Slots 22217, and items that take longer to toast, like bagels and denser breads, don't need more time. Its slots are also a little wider than those models. The Oster's design makes it easier to grab smaller items out of the slots without burning yourself, though.

The Dash Clear View Long Slot and the Black+Decker 2-Slice T2569B are both budget-friendly toasters that make fantastic toast, but they meet different needs due to their designs. Get the Black+Decker if you tend to eat sandwich bread and want a toaster with a pretty standard 2-slot design. It toasts quickly and evenly without leaving your slices too dry, but it doesn't offer many extra features. If you prefer homemade or artisanal loaves and want a toaster with a bit more personality, then get the Dash. Its single long slot can accommodate longer slices, and it offers one-sided toasting, which is handy for bagels and buns. Plus, it includes a window on one side so you can watch your bread toast. While it toasts almost as quickly and evenly as the Black+Decker, its unique design means the edges of your bread sit close to the lower heating elements, which can cause them to char. Unfortunately, the Dash also leaves more crumbs on your counter after toasting.
The Black+Decker 2-Slice T2569B is a better toaster than the BELLA 2-Slice Slim for almost everyone. It toasts more evenly than the BELLA, so your toast comes out well-browned on both sides, batch after batch. It has wider slots, so you can use it for thicker slices of Texas toast or sourdough, and it offers more features. Neither option can toast on one side only, but while the BELLA has only a shade selector and a cancel button, the Black+Decker has buttons for bagels and frozen items that add more time to a toasting cycle. It also leaves fewer crumbs on your counter. That said, as a long-slot toaster, the BELLA can accommodate longer slices of homemade or bakery bread, and its single slot means it fits into narrow spaces a typical two-slot toaster won't, so you may prefer it if you have very limited counter space.
