The Beast Mega 1200 Plus is a high-end personal blender. This is the brand's largest and most powerful personal blender, but it shares the same design as the Beast Health Blender, including a ribbed jar and an hourglass shape. Its main jar holds 40.6 ounces, which is a considerable capacity for a personal blender, and it also includes a 34-ounce jar and a smaller 16.9-ounce jar, advertised for chopping and grinding. It also includes a few lids for different purposes: storage lids, a straw cap for easy drinking on the go, and a carry lid with a plastic loop for easier carrying.
Our Verdict
The Beast Mega 1200 Plus is decent for multi-purpose use. It's primarily intended for smoothies, shakes, and frozen drinks, and it's well-suited for this purpose since it can blend fruits and vegetables smoothly and make small batches of crushed ice. Using it for recipes like nut butter isn't the easiest process, but it can still produce good results, so it's helpful for occasional dips and spreads as well. However, as a personal blender, it can't hot blend and has only a single blending speed.
Makes a smooth blend with fibrous ingredients.
Big capacity for a personal blender.
Excellent build quality.
Can make snow-like crushed ice.
Blends smaller batches more slowly.
Bulky design.
Struggles a bit with thicker recipes.
The Beast Mega 1200 Plus is excellent for making single-serve smoothies. This well-built personal blender quickly produces a very smooth blend with small batches of fibrous ingredients, such as fruit and kale. It can easily crush small batches of ice cubes. It's designed for smoothies and comes with a straw lid, allowing you to easily sip your blend on the go.

The Beast Mega 1200 Plus is excellent for making multiple servings of smoothies. Although it's a personal blender, its main jar has a 28-oz blending capacity (40.6oz overall capacity), which is enough for a couple of small smoothies. It blends more efficiently at full capacity, making a nearly perfectly smooth blend of fibrous ingredients in about one minute. It has no problem crushing small amounts of ice cubes, either.

The Beast Mega 1200 Plus is a decent ice crusher. While its main jar can fit about six ice cubes, it can't process that much ice at once. However, if you use a smaller batch and simulate pulse mode by repeatedly pressing the power button, it's quite easy to create snow-like crushed ice. It has excellent build quality, which is especially important if you blend a lot of hard ingredients, such as ice cubes.

The Beast Mega 1200 Plus isn't good for making soup. This personal blender can't hot blend, so it's not suitable for blending cooked ingredients directly from the pot or pan. However, it does make a very smooth blend with fibrous ingredients like broccoli or kale, so it can help with making silky, pureed soups as long as you let your ingredients cool down.
Excellent build quality.
Can't hot blend.
The Beast Mega 1200 Plus isn't meant for professional use. While it performs well for a variety of recipes, its 28-oz maximum blending capacity is limiting. Because it's a personal blender, you can't add ingredients or stir your ingredients without undocking the jar and removing the blade assembly. It can't be used for blending hot ingredients. However, it can blend fibrous ingredients very efficiently and smoothly.

Popular Blender Comparisons
The Beast Mega 1200 Plus is a big personal blender. It has a similar design to the brand's other blenders, including the Beast Health Blender and Beast Mini Blender Plus, which both have smaller main jars and less powerful motors. It has quite a bulky design for a personal blender, and if you primarily use your blender for personal smoothies, you might prefer a smaller model with similar performance, such as the Beast Health Blender or Ninja Foodi Power Nutri DUO. However, it's a good option for blending smoothies and frozen drinks for a couple of people. While it works best with recipes like smoothies and protein shakes, it's also a suitable option for small batches of nut butter or hummus, making it quite versatile for a personal blender.

The Beast Mega 1200 and the Beast Mighty 850 have a similar design and come with similar accessories and jars. All of the Mega 1200's jars are a little bigger, and it also has a more powerful motor. It's a much better ice crusher and performs slightly better for blending fibrous ingredients and recipes like nut butter. That said, the Mighty has a comparable performance and you might prefer its more compact design.
The Beast Mega 1200 has a better blending performance than the nutribullet Pro+, as it makes a slightly smoother blend with fibrous ingredients and can crush ice without liquid in the jar. The Beast comes with more jars and with a straw lid and straw for drinking on the go. However, the nutribullet is a much smaller and lighter blender that also performs well for smoothies.
The Beast Health Blender and Beast Mega 1200 are similar, and you might prefer either. The Mega 1200 is bigger and has a bigger capacity in its main jar. It's better for processing fibrous ingredients at full capacity and comes with multiple jars. The Health Blender is a bit better for processing recipes like nut butter, and it's quieter.
You might prefer either the Ninja Foodi Power Nutri DUO or the Beast Mega 1200. The Ninja performs better overall, especially with more difficult blends like nut butter and ice. It's also easier to clean by hand. On the other hand, the Beast feels sturdier. Its main jar has a bigger capacity, and it's significantly quieter.
Test Results
As you might expect from something with 'Mega' in the name, the Beast Mega 1200 Plus is a big personal blender. It's taller and heavier than most other personal blenders that we've tested, including the Beast Health Blender.
The build quality is excellent. The motor base is made of aluminum and feels sturdy. It has rubber feet that help keep it in place on your counter. The jar and base gears are stainless steel. The jar is plastic but feels sturdy and locks into place securely. Its ribbed design makes it easier to hold onto. The buttons feel clicky, but the on/off button on the back is a little wobbly. Still, overall, it's very well-built and similar to other Beast blenders.
The biggest jar has an overall capacity of 40.6oz (1200 mL) and a maximum fill line at 28.75oz (850 mL). Two other jars are included: a smaller 34-ounce (1000 mL) jar with a 23-ounce blending capacity and a 16.9-ounce (500 mL) jar for 'chopping and grinding' with a max fill line at 350 mL.
If you want a more compact blender, the Beast Mighty 850 has a similar selection of jars in smaller sizes.
It's superb for processing small batches of fibrous ingredients. The blender runs a one-minute blending cycle by default, which is almost enough to make a smooth blend with ingredients like kale. With an extra 30 seconds or so of blending, it makes a nearly perfectly smooth blend. There's no need to stir or scrape the jar, so it's an easy process.
It's outstanding for processing fibrous ingredients at full capacity. If you use the main jar's full 28oz capacity, it makes a nearly perfectly smooth blend with fibrous ingredients, producing the same result as the small batch with just a single one-minute blending cycle.
It's good for ice-crushing. Although the main jar can fit six ice cubes, it can't process that much ice at once. However, if you use a smaller batch of about three ice cubes and pulse, it can produce snow-like crushed ice. It's not the easiest process since you must shake the jar to keep everything moving. Ice can get stuck at the top of the jar, requiring you to give it a hit to dislodge the ingredients.
The Beast Mega 1200 Plus's bigger main jar makes it more difficult to use for recipes like nut butter compared with the Beast Health Blender, which easily processes thick recipes in its 32-ounce jar. With the Mega, you must stop and scrape the jar and hit the top of the blender to help dislodge stuck ingredients. It takes three blending cycles to get the best possible results, so it's not an overly long process. The nut butter is a bit grainy compared with what some blenders, including the Beast Health Blender, can do.
This blender's smallest jar is advertised for 'grinding and chopping,' which, combined with its smaller size, suggests it might be the best choice for making nut butter. However, even if you use a smaller batch (1 cup) of nuts, it's not as easy to use as the main jar. Ingredients get shot upwards and get stuck, and making nut butter requires more work on your part. It's not ideal for making multiple batches, either, since after one batch, our unit's blades were hot, and steam was coming from the mixture.
You can see a photo of the first and second batch of nut butter made in the 500mL jar and a video of the process.
The Beast Mega 1200 Plus isn't particularly loud or quiet for a blender. However, it's noticeably louder than the Beast Health Blender, likely due to its more powerful motor.
This blender has one speed setting. However, it doesn't maintain a completely steady speed during blending. It speeds up and slows down so ingredients can settle during its one-minute blending cycle. At one point, it briefly reaches 23000 RPM. However, it mostly blends at about 18600 RPM.
It has one main control button. The 'Standby Switch' starts a one-minute blending cycle. Like the Beast Health Blender, instead of maintaining a constant speed during blending, it alternates between blending at maximum speed and slowing down briefly, which allows ingredients to settle. There's no pulse mode, but you can press the button repeatedly if you want to pulse.
There's also an on/off button at the back of the blender.
It's easy to clean by hand. The blades aren't sharp, and most of the other components are easy to reach and clean. The ridges inside the jar make cleaning it a bit more difficult, and you may want to use a brush. The blade assembly has a groove that can be difficult to properly clean, and it can be tricky to properly clean under the blade as well.
