The Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770 is a good overall blender. It comes with a large main jar and two additional personal jars for smoothies. It also has a food processor attachment with extra accessories. It comes with very sharp blades that do a great job at crushing ice and makes very smooth almond butter. However, it doesn't do hot mixing, so it's not recommended for making soups. On the upside, it's very easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

Our Verdict

7.6 Multi-Purpose

The Ninja BL770 is a good all-around blender. It comes with a few accessories and jars to make excellent smoothies and crush ice. Build Quality

This blender is very well-built. The plastic used feels solid, although the transmission gear could have been metal, which would feel more durable. On the upside, the assembly of all pieces is premium, and there are no gaps. Overall, it feels high-end.

The main jar only locks into place when the arrow on the lid is aligned with the corresponding arrow on the jar. While there's no dedicated mechanism to add ingredients to your mix, you can raise the serving beak if you want to put in small items or liquid, although this isn't as convenient as a 2-part lid.

When using the 16oz personal jar, the smoothie results are much better than with the main jar. There's not a lot of air introduced in the mix and the drink is fresh, smooth, and fast to process.

The main jar is just okay for making smoothies. While it doesn't take too much time to make, the result isn't as smooth as when you use the personal jar. The lack of vortex introduces a lot of air in the blend, which results in a foamy texture.

Differences Between Sizes And Variants

We've reviewed the BL770 model, but there's also the BL771, BL772, and the BL773co, which are all very similar but come with different extra accessories. If your Ninja Mega Kitchen System is different, let us know in a discussion thread below and we'll update the review if needed.

Compared To Other Blenders

The Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770 is a good all-around blender, but it can't hot blend like the Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender. On the upside, it comes with plenty of accessories like most other Ninja Kitchen System blenders and is equipped for almost anything you can throw at it, on top of being very easy to clean after your mixes.

Ninja Professional Plus Kitchen System with Auto-iQ

The Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770 is a more versatile overall blender than the Ninja Professional Plus Kitchen System with Auto-iQ. The BL770 can make smooth, spreadable almond butter, and it can make a well-blended smoothie in less time. Both blenders come with similar attachments, but the BL770's personal jars are only 16 ounces, while the Professional Plus's personal jars are 24 ounces. The Professional Plus also comes with more preset modes, preset speeds, and a timer.

Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher System

The Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770 is a better full-size blender than the Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher System. The Mega Kitchen feels better built and comes with a food processing attachment. While it takes a bit longer than the Power Pitcher to make almond butter, it's still smooth and spreadable. Its additional jar also makes a silky smoothie, and it can make snow-like crushed ice. However, the Power Pitcher has a speed dial and its other additional jar also makes a silky smoothie.

NutriBullet Blender Combo

The Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770 is a better full-size blender overall than the NutriBullet Blender Combo. The Ninja has a better build quality and it can produce almond butter and smoothies with better consistency. It can also make snow-like crushed ice and cleaning it is significantly easier. However, the NutriBullet produces a silkier smoothie with its own personal jar than that of the Ninja.

Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender

If you want to do blend hot mixes, the Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender is a better option than the Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770. On the other hand, the BL770 might be a better option if you don't plan on making soup or other hot mixes. The BL770 is better at crushing ice and comes with more jugs and accessories than the Foodi Cold & Hot.

Vitamix Explorian E310

The Vitamix Explorian E310 is a much overall blender than the Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770. It allows for hot blending and is also much better built than the Ninja blender. On the other hand, the Ninja BL770 comes with a small personal jar and can create snow-like ice. It's also a bit simpler to hand-wash, but both are dishwasher safe.

Ninja Smart Screen

The Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770 is better than the Ninja Smart Screen thanks to its additional accessories. It comes with single-serve personal jars that are great for making smoothies, and it also blends nuts to make smoother almond butter.

Vitamix A2300

The Vitamix A2300 is a more versatile blender than the Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770. It can do hot blending, which isn't recommended for the Ninja blender. The Vitamix is also noticeably better built. On the other hand, if you don't plan on doing hot mixes, the Ninja comes with two personal jugs and more accessories. It also does a better job at crushing ice than the Vitamix.

Breville The Q

The Breville The Q is a better blender than the Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770 for most uses. Unlike the Ninja, the Breville can hot blend, so you can use it to make soups and purees from warm ingredients. However, the Ninja is better for crushing ice, and it comes with two additional personal jars and a food processor attachment.

KitchenAid K150

The Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770 is a better full-size blender than the KitchenAid K150. The Ninja is more powerful, its main jar can hold more food, and it comes with two additional jars that you can take with you on the go. It also produces better smoothies, almond butter, and crushed ice. It even adjusts its speed according to the jar size, and it comes with a food processing attachment.
