The Oster Titan Performance is a full-sized blender with a 64-ounce borosilicate glass jar. It has five manual speed settings, dedicated pulse and reverse-pulse controls, and four automatic programs for smoothies, frozen drinks, salsa, and soup. It also supports hot blending and comes with a tamper.
Our Verdict
The Oster Titan Performance is a great multipurpose blender if you want one machine for a wide range of everyday recipes. It's well-suited for smoothies, frozen drinks, crushed ice, and hot blends, and its five speeds, automatic programs, reverse-pulse function, and included tamper give you plenty of control. Its large glass jar is also convenient for making bigger batches for more than one person. However, it's less convenient for very thick recipes like nut butter, which require frequent tamping and hands-on attention to keep the ingredients moving. It's also fairly large and heavy, so it's better suited to staying on the counter rather than being tucked away. On the plus side, it feels sturdy, is easy to clean, and comes with a long warranty. It gets loud at higher speeds, though it's still not among the loudest blenders we've tested.
Excellent fibrous ingredient processing.

Easy to clean.
Excellent ice-crushing performance.
Vented lid allows for hot blending.
Thick blends are difficult to process.
Requires frequent intervention for recipes like nut butter.
The Oster Titan Performance is great for single-serving smoothies. It can produce a very smooth drink with fibrous ingredients like leafy greens and fruit skins, though the large jar isn't especially well-suited to small batches, so ingredients can ride up the sides and require some scraping or stopping. It also crushes ice well, making it a good choice for frozen smoothies. The blender feels sturdy and cleans up easily afterward, though it gets fairly loud at higher speeds. Oster also sells a compatible Blend-N-Go cup separately if you want a smaller jar that's better suited to personal smoothies.

The Oster Titan Performance is excellent for making multiple servings of smoothies at once. Its large jar gives you plenty of room for bigger batches, and it does a great job breaking down fibrous ingredients like leafy greens into a very smooth texture. It also handles ice well, making it a strong choice for thicker, frozen smoothies. The blender feels sturdy and cleans up easily afterward, making it a convenient option if you regularly make smoothies for more than one person.

Excellent ice-crushing performance.
The Oster Titan Performance is excellent for crushing ice. Its large 64-ounce jar gives you plenty of room to prepare bigger batches for frozen drinks or cocktails, and it quickly turns ice into a fine, snow-like consistency with only a few small pieces left behind. Its sturdy build also helps keep the blender stable while working through hard ice. For especially large batches, you may need to work in smaller portions to avoid missed cubes.

Excellent ice-crushing performance.
Large batches of ice may need to be split up.
The Oster Titan Performance is outstanding for making soups. Its large 64-ounce jar gives you plenty of room for bigger batches, and you can remove the center cap from its two-part lid to safely vent steam when blending hot ingredients. It makes easy work of fibrous ingredients like leafy greens, leeks, and celery, giving you a smooth, creamy soup with barely any noticeable bits left behind. It also feels sturdy on the counter while blending, so you don't have to be afraid of the hot contents tipping over, and cleanup is fairly straightforward thanks to its effective self-cleaning performance.

Thick blends are difficult to process.
The Oster Titan Performance is a decent choice for professional use. It's well-built, has a large 64-ounce capacity, and can handle a variety of tasks, including hot blending, crushing ice, and processing leafy greens and other fibrous ingredients. However, it struggles much more with thick blends like nut butter, as ingredients tend to get pushed away from the blades, requiring a lot of tamping and stopping to keep everything moving. It's fairly easy to clean between uses, especially since the jar can be fully disassembled, and Oster includes a wrench to make removing the blade assembly easier. Its self-cleaning performance is also effective, though the area underneath the blades can still be tricky to reach.

Popular Blender Comparisons
The Oster Titan Performance sits toward the higher end of Oster's full-size lineup, offering a sturdier build, larger capacity, and more blending controls than simpler models like the Oster One-Touch. Its 64-ounce glass jar also puts it in similar territory to the Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender, another large glass-jar model designed for a wide range of hot and cold recipes, though the Ninja goes a step further with a built-in heating element that can cook ingredients directly in the jar. The Titan still handles hot ingredients well, and its extra controls, including multiple programs and a reverse-pulse function, give you more flexibility for everyday blending. If you need something better for thick recipes like nut butter, the Vitamix VX1 is more capable, handling dense mixtures more easily and with less hands-on intervention. It also runs quieter and has a similarly large jar, though it takes a much simpler approach to controls, with far fewer automatic programs than the Oster.

The Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender is a slightly better blender overall than the Oster Titan Performance, but they have different strengths. Both are sturdy full-size models with large glass jars, but the Ninja has a built-in heating element, so it can actually cook ingredients directly in the jar rather than simply blending ingredients that are already hot. It's also a more effective ice crusher. The Titan, however, is better for processing large batches of fibrous ingredients and is easier to clean, since the Ninja's heating element means its jar can't be immersed in water or put in the dishwasher.
The Oster Titan Performance is a better blender overall than the Oster Pro 1200. The Titan has a larger main jar, noticeably sturdier build quality, and more blending controls, and it performs better for large batches of smoothies, ice crushing, and soups. The Pro 1200 has an advantage for personal smoothies, since it comes with a smaller personal jar and a matching to-go lid included, whereas the Titan's equivalent Blend-N-Go cup is sold separately. The Pro 1200 is also easier to work with for thick recipes like nut butter, despite otherwise being the less capable blender overall.
The Oster Titan Performance is a better blender overall than the Oster One-Touch. Both are full-size Oster models with glass jars, but the Titan has a larger 64-ounce capacity, sturdier build, and more controls, including a speed dial, additional automatic programs, and reverse pulse. It's also better for large batches of smoothies and soups, producing smoother results with fibrous ingredients. However, the One-Touch is easier to use for thick recipes like nut butter, since its jar shape does a better job of keeping ingredients near the blades. It's also smaller and easier to store.
The Vitamix VX1 is a better blender overall than the Oster Titan Performance. Both are sturdy full-size models with large 64-ounce jars, but the VX1 handles thick recipes like nut butter much more easily, requiring less hands-on intervention, and it runs quieter. The Titan performs better with large batches of fibrous ingredients and offers considerably more features, including several automatic programs, a digital display, and reverse pulse. The Vitamix takes a much simpler approach with mostly manual controls and uses a lighter plastic jar instead of the Oster's heavier glass one.
Test Results
The Oster Titan Performance is a large, heavy full-size blender. Its tall profile can make it harder to fit under some kitchen cabinets, and the glass jar adds noticeable weight.
The Oster Titan has great build quality overall. Its thick borosilicate glass jar feels substantial, while the transmission and metal blade assembly are especially sturdy. The drive system is similar to that of Vitamix blenders, with toothed gears connecting directly to the blade assembly. Its thick rubber base also resembles Vitamix designs, helping keep the blender stable and protecting the motor base from spills or drips from the jar.
The body is mostly plastic, though, and some parts of the control panel feel less premium, particularly the dial and glossy front panel. The jar and blade assembly are easy to take apart, and Oster includes a wrench to help with disassembly. It is important to note, though, that Oster warns not to over-tighten with the wrench, as it can get stuck and make it hard to remove.
It also comes with a 10-year limited U.S. warranty, which is unusually long for Oster. Many of the brand's other blenders are covered for only three years, so the Titan Performance gets substantially longer protection than most of Oster's lineup.
It comes with a large 64-ounce main jar, making it well-suited for bigger batches. Oster also sells a compatible Blend-N-Go cup separately, or as part of certain bundles, though it isn't included with this particular version.
The jar, lid, and other removable parts are dishwasher-safe, but the motor base and blade assembly need to be cleaned by hand.
This blender has a two-part lid that locks securely onto the jar. It relies on both a silicone friction seal and two clips to hold it in place, which can take a little extra effort to remove.
This blender has a fairly short power cord, but it should still be long enough to reach a nearby kitchen outlet.

- Three rubber gaskets
- Motor base with removable rubber top cover
- Blade assembly, mount, collar, and jar nut
- 2-part lid

- 64 oz borosilicate glass jar
This blender does an excellent job with small batches of fibrous ingredients. It comes with plenty of bells and whistles to help with blending, though the jar design can cause ingredients to ride up the sides, so some scraping or stopping may still be needed. The end result is a very smooth blend with only tiny bits remaining, although it incorporates a fair amount of air due to the very high speeds it reaches, and can leave the mixture somewhat bubbly or foamy.
This blender does an excellent job processing fibrous ingredients at full capacity. It takes a little fiddling to find the right speed and produce a vortex, but once running, it can blend without much intervention. The final result is very smooth, with only a few tiny bits remaining, although the blend can be somewhat bubbly.
This blender is fantastic at crushing ice. Selecting the preset makes the process mostly hands-off, and the result is fine, snow-like crushed ice with barely any chunks left over. Larger batches are the exception as they can stall the machine or leave some cubes half-crushed, so smaller batches tend to work better if you want consistent results.
The Oster Titan Performance struggles with nut butter. The mixture is quickly pushed away from the blades, requiring frequent tamping to keep it moving, which makes for a very hands-on process. Even with extended blending, the finished product is only moderately smooth, with a thick and sticky texture that can begin to separate due to the heat generated during blending.
The Oster Titan Performance is somewhat loud at its highest speed. Reversing the blade direction doesn't make it any louder, so noise levels are similar regardless of which direction the blades are spinning.
This blender has a wide blade speed range, giving you plenty of control over blending speed, whether you want to start gently to keep ingredients near the blades or ramp up to maximum speed for smoother results.
The Oster Titan Performance has five speed settings controlled with a dial, along with dedicated pulse and reverse-pulse buttons. It also has four automatic programs for smoothies, frozen drinks, salsa, and soup, plus a display that shows the remaining blending time. It can blend hot ingredients, although the manual recommends removing the center cap from the lid when doing so.
The Oster Titan Performance is easy to clean. The jar disassembles fully, including the blade assembly, providing easier access to residue around the blades and at the bottom of the jar. The blade assembly separates into just a few parts, making hand cleaning straightforward, though the blades are sharp and require caution, and the area directly beneath them is harder to access. Self-cleaning performance is also very good, clearing most leftover food even when some is lodged beneath the blades.
