The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI is a robot vacuum and mop in the brand's mid-range T-series lineup, and it's the first T-series model to feature the OZMO roller mop system that was previously reserved for the premium X-series. The roller mop extends sideways to reach edges as it cleans and lifts automatically when the robot vacuum detects carpet, allowing it to vacuum and mop multi-surface homes in a single run. For navigation, it uses a combination of an RGB camera and an embedded LiDAR sensor mounted in the bumper rather than on top of the robot vacuum, keeping its profile slim. The multi-function dock automatically empties the dustbin, refills the water reservoir, and washes and dries the roller mop using hot water and hot air.
Our Verdict
The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI is okay for multi-surface households, handling everyday messes on hard floors passably and doing an excellent job cleaning stains. Unfortunately, it can't clean carpets thoroughly, though. It can handle everyday maintenance, but you'll need to supplement with manual cleaning, especially along baseboards and in corners. On the bright side, the dock's automated maintenance is genuinely convenient, saving you from having to empty the bin, wash the mop, and refill the onboard water tank on a daily basis.
Dock handles day-to-day maintenance.
Excellent stain removal.
Good object avoidance, especially on hard floors.
Clears debris in open areas on hard flooring.
Leaves lots of debris behind on carpets.
The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI is a decent choice for pet owners. The robot vacuum is quiet enough to avoid startling nervous pets, and its roller mop does an excellent job cleaning up pet-related stains on hard floors. That said, there are some important caveats to know about. Pet hair pickup on carpet is okay, but it can't keep up with heavy shedders, so you'll need to supplement with manual cleaning. While the robot vacuum does a decent job of avoiding obstacles like pet toys, it doesn't reliably avoid pet waste, so you can't trust it to run while you're not at home if your pets are prone to accidents. The dock handles most daily tasks automatically, but the roller mop system adds several components that need regular attention, and you'll need to manually remove any hair tangled around the main brushroll after almost every cleaning session.
Dock handles day-to-day maintenance.
Excellent stain removal.
Good object avoidance, especially on hard floors.
Quiet enough not to startle nervous pets.
Pet waste avoidance isn't reliable.
Lots of parts require regular maintenance.
The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI does a mediocre job on hard floors. It clears away larger debris like crumbs and food particles without much issue, but fine dust and particles are a different story: after each run, you'll likely still see residue along baseboards, in corners, and scattered across the floor.
Clears debris in open areas on hard flooring.
Clears larger debris reliably.
Leaves fine debris behind, especially in corners and along baseboards.
Some debris gets dragged across the floor as it cleans.
The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI is inadequate for cleaning carpets. You'll still see debris in carpet fibers after each run, especially on low-pile surfaces where it struggles to lift fine particles and everyday dirt. It fares a little better on high-pile carpets, but the results are still only okay. If you have carpeted bedrooms or a living room rug that sees regular traffic, you'll find yourself pulling out a manual vacuum frequently to stay on top of cleaning.
Leaves fine debris behind, especially in corners and along baseboards.
Some debris gets dragged across the floor as it cleans.
The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI does an okay job of removing pet hair from carpet, but it won't replace your standard vacuum. If you have pets who shed heavily, you'll notice hair left behind after each pass. While it does a passable enough job to quickly tidy rugs between deeper cleaning sessions, it doesn't deliver a thorough clean.
Capable of lifting some hair from rugs.
Some hair gets dragged around rather than collected.
The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI handles household obstacles decently. On hard floors, it navigates around furniture, pet bowls, and everyday clutter reliably without getting stuck or needing you to step in. On carpet, it's less adept and makes contact with objects more frequently. The bigger concern is anything lightweight: coat racks, floor lamps, and similar items will get nudged and pushed around during a clean rather than being avoided. Tasseled rugs also pose a problem, as they can cause the robot vacuum to get stuck. The most significant issue for pet owners, though, is that it doesn't consistently avoid pet waste, so you risk creating a bigger mess if you run the vacuum when you're not at home.
Good object avoidance, especially on hard floors.
Pet waste avoidance isn't reliable.
Lightweight items like coat racks get bumped and pushed around during cleaning.

Popular Robot Vacuum Comparisons
The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI is the most accessible way to get Ecovacs' roller mop system, which sets it apart from most mid-range robot vacuums that use spinning pads instead. If mopping is a priority and you want the cleaning power of a roller without paying flagship prices, it's worth considering. Its stain removal is excellent, and the automated dock handles the post-clean routine on its own, making it a genuinely low-effort option for hard floor homes. That said, overall cleaning performance doesn't match the pricier models in the DEEBOT lineup, with both the Ecovacs DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI and the Ecovacs DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI providing a significant step up, offering much better hard-floor and carpet pickup. If you'd like to stay at this price point and get better debris pickup, consider the MOVA P50 Pro Ultra instead.

The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI and Dreame X50 Ultra are both vacuum-and-mop combos with fully automated docks, but they suit different buyers. If mopping and stain removal are your main reasons to buy, the T80 OMNI's roller mop is the stronger choice. If you have shedding pets, carpeted floors that need thorough cleaning, or a cluttered home with lots of furniture and obstacles, the X50 Ultra handles all of those situations more reliably. Also, unlike the T80 OMNI, it always avoids pet waste.
The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI and Ecovacs DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI are both robot vacuums with roller mops and fully automated docks, but the premium X8 PRO OMNI is the stronger cleaner across the board. It picks up significantly more debris on hard floors, performs much better on carpet, and delivers noticeably better stain removal. The T80 OMNI edges out the X8 PRO OMNI on obstacle avoidance and picks up pet hair slightly better, though neither model really excels at this task.
The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI and MOVA P50 Pro Ultra are both mid-range vacuum-and-mop combos with fully automated docks, but they excel in different areas. The MOVA P50 Pro Ultra is a significantly better vacuum: it picks up nearly all debris on hard floors in a single pass and handles carpet and pet hair pickup much more effectively than the T80. The T80 OMNI flips that dynamic when it comes to mopping. Its roller mop delivers excellent stain removal that the P50 Pro Ultra's spinning pads can't match, so if tackling dried spills and stains on hard floors is what you're after, the T80 OMNI is the stronger choice.
The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI and Ecovacs DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI are both vacuum-and-mop combos with roller mops and fully automated docks. They offer similar stain removal performance and pet hair pickup, but some major differences show up when it comes to general debris pickup and navigation. The more premium X9 picks up significantly more debris on hard floors and carpet, and its obstacle handling and household adaptability are substantially better, making it a more capable robot in homes with lots of furniture, clutter, or tight spaces.

The Ecovacs T80 OMNI feels reasonably well-built, like Ecovacs' higher-end X-series models, but there are a few weak points. The matte plastic finish scratches easily and will start showing wear quickly. The side brush bristles tend to catch on carpet fibers, which accelerates wear over time. The biggest day-to-day frustration is the dustbin cover: it doesn't have a latch or securing mechanism, so it tends to fall out, and you'll need to put it back in place.

This robot vacuum requires a lot of ongoing maintenance. Each individual task is pretty easy, but the large number of parts to clean makes the overall process time-consuming. The auto-empty and mop-washing features on the dock help reduce how often you need to intervene, but the roller mop system adds several parts that spinning pad robot vacuums don't have. Hair wraps around the brushroll tightly, and it has non-removable end caps, so you'll need to clear it manually with scissors or the brand's cleaning tool, which is sold separately. The water tray and dirty water container accumulate debris from mopping and need frequent rinsing to prevent buildup and odors.
You can find detailed maintenance schedules and instructions for all components in the user manual.

This robot vacuum has high recurring costs. You have to replace the following parts regularly:
- Main brush
- Side brush (2-pack)
- Filter (3-pack)
- Antibacterial roller mop
- Dust bags (3-pack)
- Cleaning solution or pet-friendly cleaning solution (optional)
Ecovacs also offers several accessory bundles if you'd prefer to buy in bulk.
The standard roller mop is no longer sold individually on Ecovacs' US site, but it's still available through the accessory bundles.

The Ecovacs T80 OMNI has a very small onboard dirt compartment and dirty water tank, so it will likely need to return to the dock frequently to self-empty.

The dock does a great job handling day-to-day maintenance automatically. It empties the dustbin into a bagged compartment, refills the water tank, washes the roller mop with hot water, and dries it with hot air. Though the Ecovacs DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI uses essentially the same dock, this model actually does a thorough job of cleaning the mop, as you can see in these before-and-after photos.

The Ecovacs T80 OMNI has a large 6400 mAh battery, which provides excellent battery life, so it can clean large homes without needing to recharge mid-clean. In Max mode, it runs for just over an hour, while Quiet mode stretches it to nearly five hours. The vacuum returns to the dock automatically when it hits 14% battery.
Because of this impressive battery capacity, it takes nearly 4.5 hours to charge.

The Ecovacs T80 OMNI offers the standard quality-of-life features you'd expect at this price point. On top of that, it shares some higher-end features with the Ecovacs DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI and Ecovacs DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI. The AI Intelligent Hosting feature automatically adjusts settings based on real-time conditions and works alongside Intelligent Deep Mopping. It also has several carpet-specific settings, including a sensitivity adjustment for thin versus regular pile. One limitation worth noting: there's no Mop Only mode, so you can't vacuum and mop as separate passes.

It does a mediocre job of picking up debris on hard floors using Standard suction. Despite sharing the same brush roller as the Ecovacs DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI, it doesn't perform as well, particularly in corners and along baseboards where the T80's double-wing side brush is less effective than the X8's three-wing design. It successfully picks up larger debris, but struggles to pick up fine particles, and some debris gets scattered around as you clean. Running a second pass on Max suction improves results significantly, so if thorough hard floor pickup matters to you, it's worth using Max.

The Ecovacs T80 OMNI does an okay job on high-pile carpets with Standard suction, Standard pathing, and Carpet Boost enabled. It handles larger debris reasonably well but leaves a noticeable amount of fine and medium-sized particles behind after each pass. You'll also notice lots of dirt left behind along baseboards and in corners. It also embeds some debris deeper into carpet fibers rather than picking it up. If you have high-pile rugs, you'll likely need to manually vacuum on occasion to keep them clean.

This robot vacuum performs poorly on low-pile carpets. It's weakest when it comes to picking up fine particles, with a significant amount left behind after a full clean. It also struggles in corners along baseboards. The biggest issue, however, was that navigation issues caused the robot vacuum to miss some spots entirely. A second pass doesn't show any major improvement. If you have low-pile carpets throughout your home, you'll need to manually vacuum to thoroughly clean them.

The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI does an okay job of picking up pet hair on carpets when using Standard pathing and Standard suction with Carpet Boost on. There's hair left behind after each pass, so if you have pets that shed a lot, you may notice pet hair building up over time that needs to be vacuumed manually.

This robot vacuum offers mediocre airflow, limiting its ability to draw in debris as it cleans.

The Ecovacs T80 OMNI is relatively quiet. On Quiet and Standard modes, it runs unobtrusively in the background, while Strong and Max modes are noticeably louder but still reasonable for a robot vacuum. The loudest part of the experience is when it empties the dustbin, producing a short burst of loud noise.

This robot vacuum will do a decent job adapting to most homes. Its slim profile lets it clean under low furniture without trouble, and it generally navigates around furniture well. The main issues are with lightweight or unstable objects like coat racks and floor lamps, which it can repeatedly bump into and potentially knock over. Rugs with tassels can also pose a problem, causing the robot vacuum to get tangled.

It has good obstacle avoidance overall, using a combination of an embedded spinning LiDAR sensor, an RGB camera, and a physical bumper to navigate around objects. On bare floors, it handles most obstacles without getting stuck or needing help, though it does make contact with some objects rather than steering around them cleanly. Performance is weaker on carpet, where it bumps into obstacles more frequently and occasionally gets stuck and requires you to intervene. Pet owners should be aware that it doesn't reliably avoid pet waste, so it shouldn't be run when you're not at home if your pets are prone to accidents.

The T80 struggles to navigate under low furniture despite having an embedded LiDAR system.

This robot vacuum doesn't have a HEPA filter or a robust enough filtration system to keep fine particles contained as it cleans, so it's not a great choice if anyone in your household suffers from allergies.

This robot vacuum struggles to clear debris from cracks and grout lines on Standard suction. Rather than lifting debris out, it tends to displace and scatter fine particles across the floor, leaving more of a mess than it started with. Running a second pass on Max suction cleans up the scattered debris and noticeably improves performance.

The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80 OMNI is excellent at cleaning stains using Deep pathing. It does a thorough job in a single pass, and a second pass removes the stain completely. Performance is similar to the Ecovacs DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI, and while stain detection isn't as precise as on the Ecovacs DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI, the roller mop's cleaning power is still impressive.

The Ecovacs Home app is outstanding and allows you to access all the same features as the more premium Ecovacs DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI, except for the YIKO voice assistant. It covers all the standard features like map creation and scheduling, alongside a few more advanced capabilities. AI Intelligent Hosting automatically adjusts cleaning parameters, AI-Driven Stain Cleaning helps tackle stubborn stains, and the station settings offer granular control over the mop washing method, frequency, and drying duration.
