The ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum is a lackluster, budget-level robot vacuum. This simply designed-device has a decent build quality but it has demanding maintenance needs. Several of its parts need replacing over time too, which is disappointing. As for cleaning, it pushes around large debris like cereal on bare floors and struggles to pick up small debris on carpet. It also has a hard time clearing pet hair on any surface type and can have difficulty climbing up on high-pile carpet. On the upside, it has outstanding battery performance and since it's controlled via remote, you don't need Wi-Fi to use it.

The ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum is disappointing for bare floors. Although it can pick up small debris like rice without too much of a problem, it pushes around large debris like cereal and struggles to pick up pet hair. It's also hard to maintain and has several recurring costs. However, it's decently well-built.

Compared To Other Vacuums
The ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum is a robot vacuum with a disappointing overall performance. It has a hard time on all surface types and struggles to climb onto high-pile carpet. While it doesn't have a companion app, it comes with a remote, but it offers mediocre automation features. It also doesn't come with physical boundary strips and there isn't any way to set up virtual markers instead. The iRobot Roomba S9 is a significantly better robot vacuum than the ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum. The iRobot feels better built, is easier to maintain, and recharges in less time. It also offers significantly better performance on all surface types and has better maneuverability. However, the ONSON is much more portable as it weighs less.
The eufy RoboVac 11S is a better robot vacuum than the ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum. While both vacuums are similarly well-built and are hard to maintain, the eufy offers better performance on all surface types. The ONSON offers a slightly better battery performance though.

The Samsung POWERbot R7040 is a better robot vacuum than the ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum. The Samsung feels better-built, it's easier to maintain, and has virtually no recurring costs. It's also more maneuverable and has a better performance on bare floors as well as on low-pile carpet. However, the ONSON cleans high-pile carpet more thoroughly and it has a better battery performance.
The ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum and the ILIFE A4s are similarly performing vacuums but you may prefer one over the other, depending on your needs. The ONSON performs better on low and high-pile carpet and its battery performance is better too. However, the ILIFE is better on bare floors and has fewer recurring costs.
Test Results
The ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum has a decent build quality. It's made from hard plastic and has a shiny, glass-like top. It feels sturdy overall but the dirt compartment could crack if dropped. Out-of-the-box, you need to click its two side brushes into place and plug in the dock station before it can be used.
This vacuum is hard to maintain, but each of the parts are easy to access. However, the manufacturer doesn't specify the maintenance needs so we based our results on the closest comparable model, which is the eufy RoboVac 11S.
- Dirt compartment: The dirt compartment can be removed by pressing its button and pulling it out. It should be cleaned after each use.
- Brushroll: You can remove this part by removing the brushroll guard first. After that, you can clean it by using the cleaning tool to remove hair or debris. It should be cleaned at least once a week.
- Brushroll guard: The brushroll guard should be cleaned once a week with a dry cloth or the cleaning tool.
- Foam filter: The foam filter is located on the top of the dirt compartment. It should be washed once a week.
- HEPA filter: This filter is located on top of the foam filter. This filter should be cleaned with another vacuum cleaner or by using the cleaning brush. You can also tap it clean.
- Side brush: The two side brushes can be pulled out of place. They should be cleaned once a month, using a damp cloth with warm water.
- Front wheel: You can pull out the wheel and wash it with water once a month.
- Sensors: The sensors on the vacuum should be cleaned with a cloth or cleaning brush once a month.
- Charging pins: The charging pins should also be cleaned with a cloth or cleaning brush once a month.
You can clean any part with the brush on the dedicated cleaning tool. If you wash any part with water, they must be air-dried before using them again.
This vacuum has quite a few recurring costs. However, the manufacturer doesn't specify the amount of time each part has before it needs to be replaced. We based our results on the most comparable model, which is the eufy RoboVac 11S. These parts may also be difficult to find.
- The foam and HEPA filter: These two filters should be replaced every three months.
- Side brushes: The side brush should be replaced after three to six months or when visibly worn.
- Brush guard: This part can also be replaced after three to six months or when the silicone strip is visibly worn.
- Brushroll: The brushroll can be replaced every six to twelve months.
The ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum is very easy to store. It doesn't take up too much space and it mounts onto the charging dock by itself. You can also store excess cord behind the charger.
This vacuum has an acceptably-sized dirt compartment. It needs frequent emptying and it doesn't have a line indicator to let you know when it needs it.

The ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum has an unlimited range so long as it has battery life left. However, it can't go up or down stairs.
This vacuum is very portable. It isn't too heavy and while it doesn't have a carrying handle, it's still easy to carry to another floor.
The ONSON GOOVI F007 has an outstanding battery performance. On its most powerful 'Max Vacuum Cleaning' mode, it lasts over an hour. In contrast, on its less-powerful, default 'Auto Cleaning' mode, it lasts around 160 minutes. It also has a battery indicator light that's blue when fully charged or cleaning. This light also pulses orange while charging and flashes red if there's an error.
This vacuum has a couple of extra features including three power settings: 'Auto Cleaning' which is the default mode, 'Max I', and 'Max II'. There's quite a long time delay when switching into the higher max mode, though. The manufacturer also advertises an automatic 'carpet boost function' that increases the power so that it can go from cleaning bare floors to higher-pile carpets. When using the remote, you can set different cleaning modes as well:
- Auto cleaning: It automatically chooses the cleaning mode to optimize its performance.
- Spot cleaning: It cleans a localized area in a spiral pattern.
- Edge cleaning: It cleans the perimeter of a room such as a wall.
- Small spaces: The manufacturer doesn't provide a description of this mode.
It doesn't come with a lot of tools, which is to be expected from a robot vacuum. It has one main brushroll and two side brushes that can help move debris into the robot's cleaning path. It also comes with a tool cleaning kit with a hook blade and brush to tackle hair wraps.
This vacuum doesn't have any alternative configurations.
The ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum has disappointing performance on bare floors. It struggles to pick up pet hair and it pushes around larger debris like cereal. However, it can pick up smaller debris like rice without a problem. If you're looking for a budget-level robot vacuum with a better performance on bare floors, try the ILIFE A4s.
This vacuum has poor performance on low-pile carpet. It can pick up an alright amount of large debris like sand. However, just like the Coredy R500, it struggles to pick up pet hair and smaller debris like baking soda.
The ONSON GOOVI F007 has a just passable performance on high-pile carpet. It really struggles to pick up finer debris like baking soda. However, it does a better job of cleaning pet hair and large debris like sand, although it doesn't suck up everything.
The ONSON GOOVI F007 Robot Vacuum has just alright maneuverability. At the beginning of its default 'Auto' mode, it maps the room. While it doesn't have an issue going under couches or tables, high-pile carpet is very challenging for it, and even with its 'carpet boost function' it can't climb onto this surface type. It also struggles with low-pile carpet and it pushes around light rugs. It can also get caught on your rug's tassels or push around electrical cords.
The ONSON GOOVI F007 has mediocre automation features. Although it doesn't have a companion app, you don't need an internet connection to use the robot as the remote allows you to fully control it. With the remote, you can adjust power and cleaning modes as well as schedule cleaning times and remotely control the vacuum's movement. Unfortunately, it doesn't have virtual or physical boundary markers.
