The Mova FD10 Pro is a compact, 6.4-quart air fryer with a window in its basket that lets you monitor recipes as they cook. It has dual heating elements, which the brand says eliminates the need to shake or flip your food halfway through cooking. There are just two distinct cooking modes, 'Manual' and 'Defrost,' but the touchscreen display offers preset cooking modes for various foods, such as fries, chicken, or shrimp.

Our Verdict

7.2
Air Frying

The Mova FD10 Pro is a decent option for air frying. It cooks most of each batch of fries, wings, or veggies evenly, but leaves some underdone or burnt, too. Beyond air frying, it doesn't offer much versatility. With only one fan speed, it's not a great choice for other cooking methods, since the fan is either too fast to bake without drying out your food or too slow to roast or broil effectively. It preheats very quickly, but its cooking speed is just alright, so you have to wait a while for crispy meals and snacks.

Pros
  • Makes decent-quality fried food.

Cons
  • Cooking speed is just adequate.

  • Lacks versatility, due to its fixed fan speed.

7.4
Large Batch Cooking

The Mova FD10 Pro is decent for large-batch cooking. This air fryer has a 6.4-quart cooking capacity, which is large enough to serve four to five people at a time. It preheats quickly, but cooks fairly slowly, so it takes a while to cook multiple batches in a row. Food comes out mostly crispy, but each batch also includes some mushy, overcooked pieces. Unfortunately, it's not very versatile, mainly because of its fixed fan speed, so it's not the best option for other cooking methods like dehydrating, baking, or roasting.

Pros
  • The 6.4-quart capacity can serve three to five people.

  • Makes decent-quality fried food.

Cons
  • Cooking speed is just adequate.

  • Lacks versatility, due to its fixed fan speed.

7.2
Frying Performance

The Mova FD10 Pro provides a decent frying performance. There's enough space in the basket to spread food out for proper airflow, but this air fryer has a very slow maximum fan speed. As a result, it cooks fairly slowly, and the temperature fluctuates throughout the process. Ultimately, it still makes decent-quality fried food, leaving most of each batch crispy and golden brown, but it also undercooks and burns a sizeable portion.

Pros
  • Preheats quickly.

  • Makes decent-quality fried food.

Cons
  • Cooking speed is just adequate.

  • Some 6-quart air fryers offer more cooking surface area.

  • Slow maximum fan speed.

  • Temperature fluctuates throughout cooking.

7.2
Cooking Speed

The Mova FD10 Pro preheats very quickly, but its cooking speed is just alright, so it's not the best choice for quick snacks.

Pros
  • Preheats quickly.

Cons
  • Cooking speed is just adequate.

7.5
Cooking Capacity

The Mova FD10 Pro offers 6.4 quarts of capacity, enough to serve four to five people at once. The basket is tall, offering enough clearance for taller foods like stuffed peppers or bakery-style muffins. It has a decent amount of surface area, and while some 6-quart air fryers offer more space, it's still pretty easy to arrange food in a single layer for crispier results.

Pros
  • The 6.4-quart capacity can serve three to five people.

  • Tall cooking chamber.

Cons
  • Some 6-quart air fryers offer more cooking surface area.

7.5
Size

The Mova FD10 Pro is very compact. It doesn't take up too much counter space and fits into a cupboard when not in use.

    Popular Air Fryer Comparisons

The Mova FD10 Pro is a 6.4-quart air fryer with a window in its basket that allows you to keep an eye on your food as it cooks. While it makes decent-quality fried food, many 6-quart models can cook more evenly. The Ninja Crispi Pro AS101, for example, leaves significantly less of each batch underdone or burnt, while also allowing you to monitor your recipes thanks to its glass cooking chamber. Many options, like the Ninja Air Fryer Pro XL AF181 and the COSORI Dual Blaze, can also cook faster. Unfortunately, this air fryer isn't particularly versatile either, offering only one fan speed, making it less useful for other cooking methods like dehydrating, baking, and roasting. If you're looking for a windowed air fryer that offers more versatility, consider the Chefman Crispinator 8 Qt., which uses different fan speeds for various cooking methods and also produces results faster.

    Typhur Sync Air Fryer

    Track

The Typhur Sync Air Fryer offers better performance than the MOVA FD10 Pro. The Typhur cooks faster and more evenly, leaving more of each batch crispy and golden brown. It's a lot more versatile, too, thanks to a wider range of temperature and fan speed settings. This versatility makes it a good choice for dehydrating, baking, and roasting. The Typhur also comes with a wireless temperature probe, which makes it easier to cook meat to your desired doneness, and it offers access to a companion app and AI recipe assistant.

Ninja Air Fryer Pro XL AF181

    Track

The Ninja Air Fryer Pro XL AF181 provides better performance than the MOVA FD10 Pro with one important exception. The Ninja cooks faster, maintains a more stable temperature, and offers more versatility for tasks like dehydrating, baking, and roasting. However, the MOVA offers better frying quality, cooking more evenly, so less of each batch is undercooked or burnt. Get the Ninja if you want a versatile option for multi-purpose use, but if even air frying is your priority, go for the MOVA.

    thinkkitchen Luminate

    Track

The MOVA FD10 Pro is a better air fryer than the thinkkitchen Luminate. The MOVA cooks faster and more evenly, delivering crispier results in less time. Neither option is particularly versatile, since they both offer only one fan speed, but the MOVA has a wider temperature range, giving you more flexibility in the recipes you can make.

    COSORI Iconic

    Track

The COSORI Iconic is a better air fryer than the MOVA FD10 Pro. The COSORI cooks more quickly and evenly, so more of each batch comes out crispy and well-cooked. It's also a lot more versatile, thanks to its wider range of temperature and fan speed settings. This versatility makes it a better choice if you plan to experiment with other cooking methods in your air fryer, such as dehydrating, baking, or roasting.
