The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket NA350/00 is a 9.5-quart air fryer, with two distinct basket sizes: the large basket is 6.18 quarts, while the small one is 3.1 quarts. Together, they provide enough capacity to cook for about six people. It features a touch-sensitive panel with preset options like 'Reheat,' 'Fish,' and 'Vegetables,' as well as additional cooking suggestions in the companion app, HomeID. You can choose one setting for both baskets or choose different settings and have the baskets finish cooking at the same time. This air fryer also features a shake reminder on certain settings, and its baskets are dishwasher-safe.

Our Verdict

7.3
Air Frying

The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Airfryer is decent. It makes good-quality fried food, so most of each batch is well-cooked and crispy, whether you use the large or small basket. However, it takes a long time to preheat, and while food cooks decently fast in the large basket, it takes a long time in the small basket. It's not very versatile, either. It does have a fairly wide range of temperature settings, but its fan is fixed at one speed, which limits what you can cook. It's not slow enough for dehydrating or baking delicate items, but it's not very fast either, which contributes to the long cooking times. While this air fryer only has one preset cooking mode (Reheat), it has a variety of food presets. You can program the baskets to the same setting, or program each basket with different settings and have them finish cooking at the same time.

Pros
  • Food cooks decently fast in the large basket.

  • Makes good-quality fried food.

Cons
  • Preheats slowly.

  • Food cooks very slowly in the small basket.

  • Not very versatile.

8.3
Large Batch Cooking

The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Airfryer is great for large-batch cooking. It has a large 9.5-quart capacity between its two baskets, although the smaller basket is just over 3 quarts, which limits what you can cook in it. Still, that's enough to serve approximately six people at a time. It makes good-quality fried food in both baskets, so it's a good choice for air fryer classics, like fries, nuggets, and veggies. Unfortunately, it's not very versatile. While it has a wide range of temperature settings, its fan is fixed to one speed, which is not low enough for dehydrating or proofing dough, but also not high enough to speed up the cooking process. It takes a long time to preheat, and while food cooks decently fast in the large basket, it takes a long time in the small basket, so it's not the best choice if you want to make multiple batches of food fast.

Pros
  • Large capacity.

  • Large surface area makes it easy to spread food out.

  • Food cooks decently fast in the large basket.

  • Makes good-quality fried food.

Cons
  • Preheats slowly.

  • Food cooks very slowly in the small basket.

  • Small basket is only suitable for small servings or single items.

  • Not very versatile.

7.5
Frying Performance

The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Airfryer produces good-quality fried food in both baskets. Onion rings, chicken nuggets, and Brussels sprouts end up mostly crispy and golden brown, with just a few pieces left either under- or overcooked. Between both baskets, there's a good amount of surface area, so you can spread food out in a single layer. However, since the small basket is just a little over 3 quarts, you have to be careful not to overload it. The maximum fan speed isn't very high, which impacts how quickly the air fryer cooks, especially in the small basket. It takes a long time to preheat and to heat back up after adding food, but once it reaches the chosen setting, it maintains a fairly stable temperature.

Pros
  • Large surface area makes it easy to spread food out.

  • Food cooks decently fast in the large basket.

  • Makes good-quality fried food.

Cons
  • Preheats slowly.

  • Food cooks very slowly in the small basket.

  • Fixed fan speed.

6.9
Cooking Speed

The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Airfryer delivers an adequate cooking speed. When using the large basket, it preheats slowly, but it cooks decently fast. However, when using the small basket, it preheats even more slowly and cooks very slowly, too.

Pros
  • Food cooks decently fast in the large basket.

Cons
  • Preheats slowly.

  • Food cooks very slowly in the small basket.

9.0
Cooking Capacity

The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Airfryer has an exceptionally large 9.5-quart capacity, enough to serve about six people. Its large 6.18-quart basket is ideal for mains and can accommodate about four servings of fries, veggies, or wings. Its small 3.10-quart basket has less capacity than we usually recommend, but it's handy for small servings and single items. Combined, the baskets have plenty of surface area, so you can spread food out in a single layer for the best results; just be careful not to overload the small basket.

Pros
  • Large capacity.

  • Large surface area makes it easy to spread food out.

Cons
  • Small basket is only suitable for small servings or single items.

6.1
Size

The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Airfryer is large and takes up a lot of counter space. Of course, this is expected given its 9.5-quart capacity.

    Popular Air Fryer Comparisons

The Philips 3000 Series Airfryer is a large 9.5-quart dual-basket air fryer with two different basket sizes. Compared to the single-basket Philips Airfryer 2000 Series 4.2L NA220/00, it performs similarly overall, but they have different strengths. The 2000 Series preheats and cooks more quickly, while the 3000 Series struggles in this regard, especially when cooking with the small basket. The 3000 Series, as expected, is better for large batch cooking, since it has a larger capacity and two baskets. That said, both options produce good-quality fried food, but don't provide much versatility.

This air fryer doesn't quite match the capabilities of top-performing dual-basket models, like the Ninja Foodi DZ550 or the Ninja Foodi DZ201, which have two main advantages: speed and versatility. They both preheat and cook much more quickly than the Philips. And with wider temperature ranges and variable fan speeds, you can use them for alternate applications like dehydrating, roasting, and broiling. Still, if you only plan to cook air fryer staples, like fries and wings, and don't mind waiting, the Philips provides decent performance and lots of capacity.

If you're curious what we recommend, see our picks for the best air fryers and the best large-capacity air fryers.

    Ninja Foodi DZ550

The Ninja Foodi DZ550 is a better air fryer than the Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket NA350/00 for most people. While the Philips makes good-quality fried food, the Ninja produces even better results, and it does so faster. The Ninja preheats, reheats after adding food, and cooks faster. It's more versatile too, with a wider range of temperature settings, variable fan speeds, and more cooking presets. That said, the Philips has a bit more cooking surface area, and some may prefer its large and small drawers over two drawers of the same size.

    Ninja Foodi DZ201

The Ninja Foodi DZ201 is a better air fryer for most people than the Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket NA350/00. Both of these dual-basket air fryers make good-quality fried food, but the Ninja produces results much faster. It's also more versatile. It has a higher maximum temperature, a range of fan speeds, and more preset cooking modes, so it's a better option if you plan to use your air fryer for a variety of cooking methods. The Philips does offer a bit more capacity, though, and some may prefer its small and large drawers over the Ninja's matching drawers.

    Philips Airfryer 2000 series 4.2L NA220/00

The Philips Airfryer 2000 series 4.2L NA220/00 and the Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket NA350/00 both provide decent air frying performance, and you may prefer either based on your priorities. The most obvious difference between these Philips models is that the 2000 Series is a single-basket model, while the 3000 Series has two baskets, one large and one small. They both make good-quality fried food, but naturally, the 3000 Series is better for large batch cooking. The 2000 Series, on the other hand, cooks faster and takes up less counter space.

    Beautiful 9QT TriZone

The Beautiful 9QT TriZone and Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket NA350/00 are both decent dual-basket air fryers, and you may prefer either depending on your preferences. The Philips comes out ahead with air fryer classics like fries and wings. The Beautiful, on the other hand, maintains a more stable temperature while cooking and offers more versatility. It has a wider range of temperature settings, fan speeds, and cooking modes, making it a better option if you plan to use your air fryer for a variety of cooking tasks. Unfortunately, neither model works very fast.

The Philips NA350 has a large 9.5-quart capacity between its two drawers, which is enough to serve about six people. The drawers also have a large combined surface area, so there's plenty of space to spread things out in a single layer for the crispiest results.

The large drawer has a 6.18-quart (5.85 L) capacity, though the internal basket leaves some gaps near the side, reducing the drawer's capacity to 5.43 quarts (5.14 L) when added. It has 84.3 in² (544.1 cm²) of surface area, which is a lot for a single drawer.

The small drawer has a 3.10-quart (2.94 L) capacity and 35.280 in² (227.6 cm²) of surface area. This is smaller than we typically recommend, since a larger basket with more surface area allows for better air flow and more even cooking.

The Philips NA350 offers reasonable versatility. It has a pretty wide range of temperature settings, but unfortunately, you can't change the fan speed. The set fan speed isn't low enough for applications like dehydrating or baking delicate foods, and it's also not high enough to produce extra crispy food.

You can use both drawers together or just one at a time. When you use both drawers, it has a high maximum power draw, but it only uses 1035W when you use only the large drawer and 575W when using the small drawer, which can impact how effectively it cooks.

It has one preset cooking mode, which is the same regardless of which basket you use:

    • Reheat: 320 °F, 5 minutes

There are also a number of food presets, which differ depending on the basket you use:

    Large Basket

    • Frozen Potato-Based Snacks: 400 °F, 38 minutes (shake reminder active)
    • Fresh Fries: 360 °F, 36 minutes (shake reminder active)
    • Chicken Drumsticks: 400 °F, 30 minutes
    • Fish: 360 °F, 25 minutes
    • Cake: 280 °F, 50 minutes
    • Meat Chops: 400 °F, 24 minutes
    • Vegetables: 400 °F, 25 minutes (shake reminder active)

    Small Basket

    • Frozen Potato-Based Snacks: 400 °F, 35 minutes (shake reminder active)
    • Fresh Fries: 360 °F, 36 minutes (shake reminder active)
    • Chicken Drumsticks: 400 °F, 28 minutes
    • Fish: 360 °F, 20 minutes
    • Cake: 320 °F, 20 minutes
    • Meat Chops: 400 °F, 24 minutes
    • Vegetables: 400 °F, 30 minutes (shake reminder active)

You can program the same setting for both baskets or choose different settings for each basket and program them to finish at the same time. The companion app, HomeID (formerly Kitchen+), offers additional suggested settings.

The Philips NA350 produces very good-quality fried food. When using the large basket, air fryer favorites like fries, wings, and veggies come out evenly cooked and mostly crispy, with just a small portion left mushy or burnt.

Using the smaller basket produces a similar result, as you can see in our fry sorting video. It also produces mostly crispy food, with 78.1% of each batch being well-cooked, 9.4% overcooked, and 12.5% undercooked. It's worth noting, however, that our regular 250 g batch of fries was pretty crowded in the small basket, and it'll probably produce even better results with smaller portions or single items.

Time To Reach 45% Moisture Loss19:27

This air fryer cooks decently fast when using the larger basket. However, using the small basket results in a slower cooking speed of 30 minutes and 11 seconds. This is likely due to a combination of factors, including the small 575W power draw, the smaller heating element, and diminished air flow in the smaller space.

Although the large drawer provides a sub-par preheating speed, the small drawer takes even longer at 4 minutes and 23 seconds. Again, this is probably due to the smaller power draw and heating element.

This air fryer delivers acceptable temperature stability. When using the large basket, it takes a long time to heat back up after you open the drawer to add food. This delay can make it tricky to follow recipes correctly. That said, its temperature stays decently stable once it reaches the chosen setting.
