The COSORI TurboBlaze (COSORI CAF-DC601) is a higher-end single-drawer air fryer with a large enough capacity to serve about four people. While COSORI sells a variety of different air fryers, it's advertised as the only one that uses a DC motor, which COSORI says allows for more fan speeds. Its five fan speeds make it a good option if you plan to use your air fryer for other methods besides frying, like baking or dehydrating. Its 'Turbo' modes also offer a particularly fast fan speed for frying and broiling. Like other COSORI fryers, its controls are on a slanted panel on top of the fryer instead of on the front of the machine, which is meant to make them easier to read.
Our Verdict
The COSORI TurboBlaze is a great air fryer. It's fast and makes very good-quality fried food, so ingredients like chicken wings, fries, and vegetables come out browned and crispy, with only a small amount under or overcooked. It's very versatile, with a wide range of temperature and fan speeds for different purposes like baking and dehydrating. Unlike most air fryers, it has a preheat mode and preheats decently quickly.

- Produces good-quality fried food.
- Temperature stability is just okay.
The COSORI TurboBlaze is very good for large-batch cooking. Its 6-quart capacity is enough for about four people, and it has a bigger cooking surface area than many 6-qt air fryers. This gives you more room to spread food out in a single layer for the crispiest results. It produces good-quality fried food quickly and has a range of settings for different recipes and cooking methods.

The COSORI TurboBlaze air fryer has a very good frying performance. The basket's big cooking surface area and the fast max fan speed help it produce evenly browned, crispy food. It cooks food quickly. However, it could have better temperature stability. It doesn't recover its temperature very quickly after you add food, and it varies quite a bit during cooking, making it more difficult to predict when your food will be ready and accurately follow recipes.

The COSORI TurboBlaze cooks food very quickly. It has a preheat mode, so you know when it's heated, but it takes a while to get up to temperature. That said, it recovers its temperature quite quickly after you add food.

Differences Between Sizes And Variants
The COSORI TurboBlaze comes in 'Light Gray,' 'Dark Gray,' and 'Black.' There's also a Wi-Fi-enabled version, available in 'Cream.' We tested the standard variant in Black and expect the Wi-Fi-enabled variant to perform differently. Here's a picture of the label for the unit we tested.
If you encounter another variant, let us know in the comments, and we'll update our review.
Popular Air Fryer Comparisons
The COSORI TurboBlaze is a medium-sized fryer suitable for preparing food for about four people. Compared with other six quart fryers like the BELLA 6qt Pro 90165 and Beautiful 6qt Digital air fryer, its basket shape provides a bigger cooking surface area, giving you more room to arrange food in a single layer, which can help you make better-quality fried food. It quickly cooks and crisps food like frozen fries and has a range of fan speeds for different uses, like proofing dough and baking. Some air fryers, like the Ninja DoubleStack SL201, maintain a more stable temperature, which can speed up cooking and help you accurately follow recipes.

The Ninja Air Fryer Pro XL AF181 and the COSORI TurboBlaze are very evenly matched, and either could be a suitable choice, depending on your needs. They both offer approximately 6.5 quarts of capacity, but the COSORI's basket has a larger surface area, making it easier to arrange food in a single layer. It also makes better-quality fried food and offers more versatility, with a wider range of temperature settings and particularly fan speeds. Conversely, the Ninja cooks faster and maintains a more stable temperature throughout the process. It's also a little more compact.
The COSORI TurboBlaze and the Ninja Pro AF141 are both high-performing air fryers, and you may prefer either depending on your preferences. The COSORI has a roomier cooking basket and produces slightly better quality fried food, resulting in a larger portion of each batch coming out crispy and well-browned. It's also more versatile; it gets a bit hotter and has a wider range of fan speed settings, making it better suited to alternate cooking methods, like dehydrating or broiling. The Ninja, on the other hand, preheats and cooks faster. It also maintains a more stable temperature than the COSORI, making it easier to follow recipes accurately.
The COSORI TurboBlaze is a better air fryer than the COSORI Dual Blaze 6.8qt CAF-P583S, for most people. The TurboBlaze makes better-quality fried food than the Dual Blaze, leaving more of each batch crispy. It also offers greater versatility. It has a wider range of fan speeds and temperature settings, particularly at the low end, making it a better choice for alternate cooking methods like dehydrating and proofing dough. It's also more compact, and despite having a smaller capacity, it has nearly the same amount of cooking surface area, so it's easier to spread food out for better results. The Dual Blaze preheats and cooks a bit faster and offers some special features through the VeSync app, like voice control. However, considering the TurboBlaze's more affordable price and better overall performance, the extra features won't be worth it for most people.
The COSORI TurboBlaze and Ninja Speedi SF301 are both impressive air fryers, but they offer different benefits, and you may prefer either depending on your needs. They offer nearly the same capacity, but the COSORI has more cooking surface area, yet it's smaller overall. This gives you more room to spread food out in a single layer, while saving counterspace. It's a more versatile air fryer, too, mainly thanks to its wide range of fan speed settings. The Ninja, however, doubles as a multi-cooker, offering a different kind of versatility. You can use it to air fry, dehydrate, or use it as a steamer, slow cooker, or sous vide machine. It also makes better-quality fried food, so more of each batch comes out crispy.
Test Results
This air fryer has a 6.3-quart capacity, providing enough space to serve about four people. While COSORI also advertises the Wi-Fi-enabled variant as a 6-quart model, their product specs list 6.5 quarts of capacity, so it may have a little more space, but we haven't tested it.
The basket has a bigger surface area than some other 6-qt air fryers, like the Ninja Speedi SF301, so you have more room to spread your food out in one layer.
While our unit's crisper plate has a PTFE coating, COSORI has since switched to a ceramic non-stick coating. When purchasing a new unit, you can expect the updated ceramic coating. This type of coating is slightly more difficult to clean, but you may prefer it if you like to avoid PTFE materials. Although it's recommended for most recipes for more even heating, you can use the air fryer without the plate.
It has a wide range of temperatures and fan speeds, which helps make it suitable for a variety of uses. Faster speeds are useful for quickly cooking and crisping, while you'll use lower fan speeds for proofing dough or dehydrating. A lower fan speed can also help prevent baked goods from drying out before being cooked in the center.
The nine presets have different fan speeds, default temperatures, and times. The 'Turbo' modes all use the maximum fan speed (5). The fan speed is determined by the preset and can't be adjusted manually; however, you can adjust the temperature and time regardless of the preset chosen.
- Air Fry: Fan speed 5/5, 385°F
- Roast: Fan speed 5/5, 425°F
- Broil: Fan speed 5/5, 450°F
- Frozen: Fan speed 5/5, 390°F
- Reheat: Fan speed 4/5, 390°F
- Bake: Fan speed 3/5, 330°F
- Dry: Fan speed 1/5, 135°F
- Proof: Fan speed 1/5, 90°F
- Keep Warm Fan speed 2/5, 170°F
There's a dedicated preheat mode, and the air fryer beeps when it's done preheating. This model doesn't have a shake reminder feature.
While the Wi-Fi-enabled variant advertises an additional function, the only one listed is 'Preheat,' meaning that both variants effectively have the same number of cooking modes.
This air fryer produces good-quality fried food. By the time it cooks frozen French fries, most are golden brown and crispy without being dry. Its large cooking surface area, high power draw, and wide range of fan speeds produce quite even crisping.
Despite its solid performance, this air fryer slightly underperforms other models with similar capacity and power draw, such as the Ninja Speedi SF301. The big difference is that the Cosori uses higher fan speeds for its Air Fry setting (3600RPM) than the Ninja model (2900RPM). The higher fan speeds are counterproductive, resulting in mediocre temperature stability as the heating element cycles on and off. These temperature fluctuations result in greater inconsistency for fried food quality.
This air fryer offers an impressive cooking speed. If you want something that's even faster, see the COSORI Dual Blaze 6.8qt CAF-P583S. It preheats more quickly and cooks slightly faster, although with less even results.
Unlike most air fryers, it has a preheat mode that includes a reminder that lets you know when the fryer is fully heated.
It maintains its temperature fairly well. It returns to temperature somewhat slowly after you open the drawer and add food. The temperature varies quite a bit as the element switches on and off, making it harder to cook delicate foods like fish and follow recipes accurately.
