JBL Charge 6
JBL Xtreme 5
The JBL Charge 6 and JBL Xtreme 5 are similar speakers. While both offer an IP68 rating and manufacturer-advertised drop-proofing, the Xtreme 5 is larger and comes with a more durable, longer strap. The Xtreme 5 also represents a more complete package; it has a replaceable battery and comes with a power adapter. It also gets louder and has more bass rumble and thump due to its larger size. Still, you may prefer the Charge 6 if you're looking for a relatively inexpensive speaker that'll fit inside a tote bag for a casual picnic.
