The Typhur Sync Oven is a large toaster oven that comes with a wireless temperature probe and access to a companion app with an AI recipe feature. It has a tall cooking chamber that's wide enough to fit a 13-inch pizza. It offers a variety of cooking modes, including 'Roast,' 'Air Fry,' 'Dehydrate,' and 'Keep Warm.' Using the temperature probe allows you to cook beef, poultry, pork, lamb, and fish from rare to well done, depending, of course, on the type of meat you're cooking.

Our Verdict

8.2
Mixed Usage

The Typhur Sync Oven offers impressive mixed-use performance. It has a large cooking chamber, so there's room to make a variety of dishes, including a 13-inch pizza or a whole chicken. It preheats pretty quickly and maintains a very stable, uniform temperature throughout the cooking process. This stability makes it a good choice for baking and reheating leftovers, since it's less likely to burn or dry out your food. It offers good air-frying performance, too, leaving most of your food crispy and delivering results quickly. It toasts pretty evenly, too, both with four and six slices, but unfortunately, it toasts quite slowly compared to other models. When you're finished cooking, it's impressively easy to clean.

Pros
  • Large capacity.

  • Toasts pretty evenly.

  • Air fries quickly and evenly.

  • Great temperature stability.

  • Preheats quickly.

Cons
  • Toasts slowly.

  • Undercooks some of your food.

8.0
Leftovers

The Typhur Sync Oven is great for reheating leftovers. With a large cooking capacity, it's easy to fit larger items, like a casserole dish. This toaster oven also maintains a very stable temperature. It doesn't often overshoot the selected temperature, and the temperature remains uniform throughout the cooking chamber, reducing the risk of drying out or burning your food. It preheats very quickly, too, though some options heat up even faster.

Pros
  • Large capacity.

  • Great temperature stability.

  • Preheats quickly.

Cons
  • Some options preheat faster.

8.9
Baking

The Typhur Sync Oven delivers excellent baking performance. It has a dedicated 'Proof' mode, which uses a low temperature setting with no fan, and a 'Baking' mode that uses a medium fan speed, making it suitable for convection baking, though you can't disable the fan in this mode. The temperature doesn't fluctuate much during cooking, staying very close to the selected setting. The toaster oven rarely overshoots the temperature, so it's unlikely to burn cookies or cupcakes before cooking them through. The temperature is also very uniform throughout the entire cooking chamber.

Pros
  • Great temperature stability.

  • Rarely overshoots temperature setting.

  • Uniform temperature throughout cooking chamber.

Cons
None
7.6
Air Frying

The Typhur Sync Oven is good for air frying. Its large capacity provides plenty of surface area, making it easy to spread food out for the best results. Using its dedicated 'Air Fry' mode and included air frying basket, it cooks very evenly, leaving nearly three-quarters of each batch crispy and golden brown, while a smaller portion remains undercooked, and just a couple of pieces burn. It also produces results faster than most other toaster ovens.

Pros
  • Features a dedicated 'Air Fry' mode and mesh air frying basket.

  • Air fries quickly and evenly.

Cons
  • Undercooks some of your food.

7.2
Toasting

The Typhur Sync Oven is decent for toasting. It offers good toasting evenness with four slices of bread and nearly as evenly with six slices, its maximum capacity. That said, it doesn't toast very quickly, so you'll have to wait for golden brown bagels and sourdough slices.

Pros
  • Toasts pretty evenly.

Cons
  • Toasts slowly.

8.5
Cooking Capacity

The Typhur Sync Oven has an excellent cooking capacity. It can fit six slices of bread or a 13-inch pizza. There's enough usable height in the cooking chamber to fit a loaf of bread or a whole chicken.

Pros
  • Large capacity.

    Popular Toaster Oven Comparisons

The Typhur Sync Oven is a large toaster oven that offers impressive mixed-use performance. It produced good results when air frying, which isn't particularly common for toaster ovens. Only a couple of models, including the Breville the Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro BOV900BSS, air fry more evenly, though the Typhur finishes cooking faster. Like the COSORI Smart Air Fryer CS130-AO, it's a good choice for baking and reheating leftovers. It preheats pretty quickly, maintains a stable temperature, and has a roomy cooking chamber. One downside, however, is that it's just decent at toasting. While it can't toast as evenly as a simpler option like the Hamilton Beach Quantum Air Fryer 31350G, it still performs well in this regard. However, it toasts quite slowly, taking longer than most other options. Ultimately, it may not be the best option if toasting is your priority, but if you want an impressive multipurpose model and don't mind waiting for your bagels and English muffins, it's a great choice.

    Ninja Foodi DT201

    Track

The Typhur Sync Oven and the Ninja Foodi DT201 both offer impressive performance, and you may want either depending on what's most important to you. When it comes to toasting, the Ninja has the edge. It toasts more evenly and more quickly with four slices, though it toasts more slowly at max capacity. The Ninja also offers more versatility, thanks to its more powerful fan, and it's easier to clean. The Typhur, on the other hand, offers better performance for alternate cooking methods. Track

The Typhur Sync Oven is a better toaster oven than the Breville the Joule Oven Air Fryer Pro (Toaster Oven) for most people. Both options offer similar toasting performance, but the Typhur toasts a bit faster. They both offer excellent temperature stability, so either is a good choice for evenly baking cookies or cupcakes, but the Typhur preheats faster, making it a better choice for quickly reheating leftovers. The Typhur also air fries more quickly and evenly. That said, the Breville is a bit more versatile, thanks to its higher maximum temperature and stronger fan motor. It's also easier to clean.
