The Hamilton Beach Quantum Air Fryer 31350G is a small toaster oven with simple dial controls and five functions for different cooking methods, including 'Air Fry' and 'Convection Bake.' It includes a mesh air fry basket, wire rack, and baking tray. There's also a nesting rack that you can use with the baking tray to catch grease, which is recommended when you're air frying something like burgers.
The Hamilton Beach Quantum Air Fryer is mediocre for mixed use. It's small and won't fit the average casserole dish, but it can accommodate a 12" pizza. It can fit six slices of bread and makes even golden-brown toast quickly. It also preheats fast, so it's a good option for reheating a quick snack. While it's not great for air frying, it'll do an acceptable job of making your favorite crispy snacks. However, it has poor temperature stability. This makes it difficult to get good results when baking or roasting since your food can easily burn before it's done.

Preheats quickly.
Air fries reasonably evenly.
Overshoots selected temperature setting.
Temperature fluctuates a lot.
Small capacity.
The Hamilton Beach Quantum Air Fryer is good for reheating leftovers. Since it tends to overshoot your selected temperature setting, especially at the beginning of cooking, you may need to use a lower setting to avoid burning or drying out your food before it's ready. That said, it preheats quickly. It's a small toaster oven but has a fair amount of capacity for bowls and plates.
Preheats quickly.
Overshoots selected temperature setting.
The Hamilton Beach Quantum Air Fryer has a poor performance for baking. The temperature fluctuates a lot during cooking, and it usually runs hot. This makes the oven less predictable and can lead to your food burning before it's properly baked. The temperature is quite uniform within the cooking chamber, though.
Temperature inside the cooking chamber is uniform.
Overshoots selected temperature setting.
Temperature fluctuates a lot.
The Hamilton Beach Quantum Air Fryer is okay for air frying. It doesn't have a huge amount of surface area in its cooking chamber or a very powerful fan. Still, it's somewhat rare for smaller toaster ovens to have an air frying feature, and it performs fairly well. While nearly half of your food will be undercooked or overcooked, this model air fries quickly and still produces reasonably good results when air frying foods like French fries or chicken wings.
Air fries reasonably evenly.
Air fries quickly.
Small capacity.
The Hamilton Beach Quantum Air Fryer is great for toasting. It can fit six slices of bread, and while it tends to undercook the corners and edges of some pieces, overall, it toasts very evenly and equally on both sides. It's also decently fast.
Toasts quickly.
Toasts both sides equally.
Some corners left undercooked.
The Hamilton Beach Quantum Air Fryer has a fair amount of capacity. It can fit the average frozen pizza, which is good for a compact toaster oven. You can toast six slices of sandwich bread. It also fits standard cookware like a loaf pan or a 9" x 9" cake pan. However, it won't fit 9" x 13" baking pans.
Small capacity.
The Hamilton Beach Quantum Air Fryer comes in one 'Stainless Steel' variant. The model number is either 31350 or 31350G, depending on where you buy it, but both models are the same product. We expect our results to be valid for both model numbers.

The Hamilton Beach 31350G is a small model with a classic look, similar to the Black+Decker Natural Convection 4-Slice TO1756SB. However, unlike some other compact toaster ovens, like the Black+Decker or the Breville the Mini Smart Oven BOV450XL, it has a fan and an 'Air Fry' function. While it's not amazing at air frying, it does an okay job of crisping up French fries or chicken wings. Its toasting performance is impressive, making it a viable alternative to a 4-slice slot toaster if you need more capacity. Unfortunately, for purposes like baking bread or roasting a chicken, you're better off with the Breville or the Hamilton Beach Sure-Crisp 31196FG, both of which offer better temperature stability.
It's a small toaster oven with a fair amount of capacity. Unlike the Ninja Flip SP151, it can fit a 12" pizza. While most casserole dishes won't fit, its cooking chamber has enough height for something like a loaf of bread. However, it only has a couple of possible rack positions.
It's not particularly versatile but has a good range of temperature settings and five functions for different cooking methods. It's equipped with a fan, and while it's not very powerful, many small toaster ovens lack convection or air-fry modes entirely. There's also a 'Stay On' function, so you aren't limited by the 30-minute timer.
Function | Temperature | Timer | Fan |
Air Fry | 150 °F - 450 °F | 1 - 30 minutes or 'Stay On' | On |
Broil | 450 °F | 1 - 30 minutes or 'Stay On' | Off |
Convection Bake | 150 °F - 450 °F | 1 - 30 minutes or 'Stay On' | Off |
Bake | 150 °F - 450 °F | 1 - 30 minutes or 'Stay On' | On |
Toast | 450 °F | Depends on shade setting: Light - Dark | On |
It's not the easiest to clean. It has a small cooking chamber, making maneuvering your hand around inside a bit awkward. There are two elements each on the top and bottom of the cooking chamber, and you can clean behind them with a sponge, although it's a tight squeeze. The fan outlets are complex and tricky to clean properly. This toaster oven would also be easier to clean if its interior or baking tray had a non-stick coating. That said, the rack guides are easy to clean, and there aren't any sharp corners that could cut you.
It's passable for air frying. While it doesn't have the best performance, it does a better job than the Hamilton Beach Sure-Crisp 31196FG, which also has an air-fry function. It quickly air fries foods like French fries and produces mostly crispy, golden-brown results. However, a significant proportion still ends up undercooked and overcooked. The Ninja Flip SP151 is another compact option and makes much more evenly cooked air-fried food.
It preheats quickly, which is normal for a small toaster oven.
It has poor temperature stability. After you add food to the preheated toaster oven, it overcompensates for the drop in temperature caused by opening the door, reaching around 100 °F over the temperature setting. It cools down afterward but still runs a little hot for the entire cooking time. The fluctuating temperature makes the toaster oven's performance harder to predict and can lead to your food burning before it's cooked through. However, like most toaster ovens, the temperature throughout the chamber is uniform.
It toasts decently quickly, whether using its full six-slice capacity or making just four pieces of toast at once. However, some toaster ovens with a similar capacity can do it faster, like the Ninja Flip SP151 or Gourmia Digital Air Fryer GTF7900.
