Ultimate Ears HYPERBOOM
Ultimate Ears EPICBOOM
The Ultimate Ears HYPERBOOM is a more premium speaker than the Ultimate Ears EPICBOOM. The HYPERBOOM offers better sound quality since it produces more low bass and can get louder. Its battery life is longer-lasting, too, and it has lower latency over Bluetooth. That said, it's larger than the EPICBOOM and not quite as well-suited for outdoor use.

I have the hyperboom and it is pretty remarkable, no distortion even at peak volume, The problem is that it has virtually no protection outdoors, unlike every other Ultaimte ears speaker. I was considering the Epicboom for its’ waterproof rating. I live in the Hawaiian rainforest, so it’s an issue. I do, however, have several other speakers (JBL extreme, Sony… a few ;). You may have convinced me that I do not need an Epicboom. Dynamic range means a lot.
