The iConcepts PRTSPK is a small speaker with a portability-focused design; it's small, lightweight, and features a clip. It was purchased from Dollar Tree in the United States.
Our Verdict
The iConcepts PRTSPK is inadequate for music. Its frequency response lacks bass output, rendering rock and pop kick drums and electronic bass synths anemic and weak-sounding. The speaker doesn't get very loud, either, so orchestral swells won't sound grandiose. There's also no EQ, and the speaker downmixes stereo content to mono.
Audio sounds consistent regardless of your listening angle.
Doesn't get loud enough to fill a small room.
No bass output.
No sound customization options.
The iConcepts PRTSPK is bad for videos and movies. It has noticeable audio-visual desync with Android and iOS devices, though your experience will depend on the connected device and apps you use. There's not much bass on tap due to the speaker's small size, so explosive action scenes will sound thin rather than full-bodied.
Audio sounds consistent regardless of your listening angle.
Doesn't get loud enough to fill a small room.
No bass output.
The iConcepts PRTSPK is decent for podcasts. The speaker doesn't get loud enough to fill a large living room, but its omnidirectional design means hosts and guests on your favorite show sound consistent regardless of your listening angle.
Audio sounds consistent regardless of your listening angle.
Doesn't get loud enough to fill a small room.
The iConcepts PRTSPK doesn't support voice assistants.
The iConcepts PRTSPK is disappointing for outdoor use. While small, it has bad build quality, so it's likely more susceptible to damage. It also has little protection against the elements, so it won't be safe to use in heavy rain or dusty trails. Even so, in good weather, the speaker sounds the same from different angles, though it doesn't get loud enough to listen to from far away in an open space.
Audio sounds consistent regardless of your listening angle.
Doesn't get loud enough to fill a small room.
Bad build quality.

Popular Speaker Comparisons
The iConcepts PRTSPK is an inexpensive, small, portable, dollar-store speaker with a clip handle. That said, most people would be better served spending a bit more, as the iConcepts model's build quality doesn't inspire confidence for long-term use. The Anker Soundcore Select 4 Go and JBL Clip 5 are sturdier competitors with significantly more robust water- and dust-proofing and better material quality. They both have a longer battery life than the iConcepts, too. If you're sold on the clip design, go with the JBL; otherwise, the Anker is closer to the iConcepts in price.

The JBL Clip 5 is a better portable speaker than the iConcepts PRTSPK. This isn't surprising, since the iConcepts is a dollar-store product with poor build quality, and minimal water- and dust-resistance. The JBL also has an app that allows you to customize its sound.
The Anker Soundcore Select 4 Go is a better portable Bluetooth speaker than the iConcepts PRTSPK. The iConcepts is slightly less expensive, but it doesn't have an app for sound customization, can't get as loud, and its battery lasts for only five hours, less than half that of the Anker. The Anker also has a more durable build, with certification for resistance against significantly more water and dust exposure.
