Well-matched L/R drivers can help you localize in-game audio (like enemy footsteps) in FPS games. However, imaging tends to vary between different units. The Audeze use planar magnetic drivers and their complicated manufacturing process can often result in imaging issues, like the phase issues we encountered in the unit we test. That said, there’s no guarantee you’ll experience the same issues if you buy your own Maxwell.
