Hisense AX5125H
Hisense AX5140Q
The Hisense AX5140Q is an updated version of the Hisense AX5125H. The successor soundbar features two additional up-firing drivers, an aesthetic and functional redesign, and better sound performance across the board. Its expanded sound enhancement feature set gives the AX5140Q the edge even outside sonic characteristics, making it the better option. If you can find the AX5125H for significantly cheaper, it may be a worthwhile option, since the performance isn't that different, but the AX5140Q will be most people's go-to due to its still-competitive sub-$500 price.

Hi, we didn’t feel the need to turn Dialogue Enhancement in our test scene (which features action and dialogue both exclusively and simultaneously). The surround options are Off, Pure, and Pro. Little has changed in how they operate from the AX5125H to the AX5140Q. It is an upgrade, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth spending unless you’re dissatisfied with the AX5125H.
If you’re in the USA, you can also check out the AX700. After emailing with a Hisense rep, the differences are that it has slightly less power (likely in the sub), and doesn’t support the Hisense TV features. If you’re not in a large room, the slight disadvantages will likely be worth the additional savings compared to the AX5140Q.
This looks like a sizable upgrade from the ax5125h. Can you comment on how well dialogue enhancement works in movies? Also, I tend to use my ax5125h in AI pure surround mode. Is there a similar option in this unit?
