LG Immersive Quad Suite 7 Pro
LG Immersive Suite 5 Pro
The LG Immersive Quad Suite 7 Pro is the expanded version of the LG Immersive Suite 5 Pro, boasting four M7 speakers instead of the twin M5 satellites that come with Immersive Suite 5 Pro. The two setups perform very similarly in most of our sound tests, with similarly balanced frequency responses, excellent dynamics, and strong center channels. Both configurations also let you take advantage of positionally adaptive features like Dolby Atmos FlexConnect and Sound Follow, as well as AI Room Calibration. However, the Quad Suite 7's four satellites can create a more immersive sound with 5.1 and Atmos content, and the stereo soundstage stretches a lot wider. The Immersive Suite 5 Pro creates more of a sense of elevation with Atmos content, though. If you're still undecided, you can always opt for the cheaper two-satellite configuration and upgrade with additional speakers down the line.

Good question. Our testing doesn’t capture ‘immersion’ as most people know it, the addition of discrete speakers in this case does make four better than two in terms of our subjective listening. That said, there’s some variability in how Dolby Atmos FlexConnect allocates channel output depending on where you place the speakers. For example, putting two of the satellites to the front and flanks of the bar could extend your stereo soundstage, but might deactivate some drivers in the bar (which happened for us). If you have the opportunity to try both configurations (and return the one you didn’t like as much), I’d encourage you to do that (you could also get the combo with the H7 and M5s then expand with two additional M5 or M7s later).
It is an interesting comparison. Suite 5 Pro appears to be a better option than Suite Quad 7 Pro in most aspects except the stereo soundstage. Am I reading it correctly or there is something in 7 Pro that is worth the extra money?
