Our Verdict

Jabra Elite 7 Active True Wireless

Jabra Elite 7 Pro True Wireless

The Jabra Elite 7 Pro True Wireless and the Jabra Elite 7 Active are similar headphones, and you may prefer either, depending on what you're looking for. The Pro are more casual and have a much better mic recording quality. They have quite a few features for phone calls, including bone conduction sensors to help with noise handling. They also have a more neutral sound profile, which some may prefer. The Active are intended for sports use and have a significantly better noise isolation performance.

I checked most of high score neutral headphones. Had like 90% of them for testing and all. The bass on 681 is absolutely fantastic. Those are actual true headphones for working with audio. The treble just needs a bit of tuning. They are bad quality materials but so is sennheiser and akg in those years. Everything is lower quality so why pay x10 more for any of them? Easy to drive, cheap to replace, best headband style. Highest value of all tested headphones.

Sadly they are discontinued for unknown reason, if someone wants to buy 440 but “A” version 440A they sound nothing like this. New version isn’t good and no where near as balanced as this one.

It is said that this headphone is suitable for mixing, so I want to know its specific parameters and performance.

Same, sadly barely anyone knows anything about them. It won’t reach the top because mostly the absolute garbo headphones are now being tested…

I think the simplest method would be to to add how headphones behave after applying EQ done with things like Equalizer APO + Peace GUI, since there is a lot of AutoEQ for headphones with rtings signature. I mean mostly for PC. Overall recommended eq for specific targets would be nice, I know it’s based on preference of users but some headphones gain a lot of value after tunning them with EQ and not everyone is aware of how much that changes. I’m not that familiar with what is the target response on rtings, is it harman target from 2018?

Near perfect headphones, I tested: AKG 240 MK II Audio Technica ATH-M50X Beyerdynamics DT 770 250 Ohm Superlux HD 681 Sennheiser HD 599 and Fidelio are the winners for me, they have amazing soundstage while being imo them 2. Superlux 3. Beyer. They look quite big and bulky but I never felt that they are too heavy but I am tall and I have above average size of head. I would even go that far to say the clamp is rather weak. The clamp is closer to AKG than to something tight like ATH-M50x. I use those to mix vocals and to create better EQ. Huge downside is the fact they are REALLY sibilant, even more than Infamous complaining about beyer. Beyers are nothing compared to those. I am sensitive to both bass and high treble. I fixed it with DYI just paper piece inside shell. Kinda weird solution but it worked, I would even say it boosted low bass a bit, but maybe by like a 1-2db. I’m gonna test SHP 9500 and compare to those since I been searching for perfect flat response because I mostly work with human voice mastering-voice over. I dislike cable, it’s way too long for me because I have audio interface around 30 cm away from me, if they had coiled cable that would be cool but I never found replacement for it. brought them for around 108$ which is very nice. Those are amazing 9/10

After a while I’m gonna re-think them. Since I had hands on much more headphones there is slightly more critique from me. They are indeed heavier than I felt. If you wear them for long time 2h+ they are too heavy due to much more metal build, that becomes an issue. They had issue that I didn’t mentioned. They don’t separate instruments and sound too well. That makes them very good for just the music. Not even games if someone is wondering, definitely not for music production or sound engineering. SHP9500 which I had were nice but lacked bass, upside was them being light weighted, but comfort was lower due to pads being too thin comparing to those. After all I regret not testing them with neutral IEF EQ. I would rate them 8.5/10 (But only for music, movies) Still the extreme sibilance exists.

Hi there, Unfortunately, we haven’t tested the MH750, so we can’t say for certain if they’re just as good as the MH755. There have been user discussions regarding the difference in sound between the two models (possibly caused by the placement of air vents or a change between generations of the same model). However, it’s also quite hard to get a hold of a legitimate pair of these headphones, so we aren’t able to verify any claims.

Yeah, I tried to buy them from few sources and none of them seems legit, but my options in EU are a bit limited. The fake ones look almost identical but they sound worse than 2$ no name headphones.

Hi MadaCrow, Thanks for reaching out. We’ve been thinking about adding a new recommendation article for the best left-handed/ left-handed friendly mice. It’s on our radar and something we may be able to add in the future. We’ve got a bunch of left-handed folks here in the office who have also eagerly awaited this article, so stay tuned!

Very nice, the choices for left handed mouse currently are very thin. G903 is amazing but very heavy, Keychron M1 disappointed me with their bartery life with rbg was like 10 hours. There is razer viper ultimate but I’m worried that their 70 hours as many people have mentioned aren’t real values.

dude the clamp on m50x is insane like if it was made for kids heads for real. How is this hd 560s really worse than them? Maybe u got some badly made unity?

I recently found HD 598’s for 69.99 used in great condition on ebay. Coincidentally, SHP9500’s are also 69.99 on ebay. Which one should I go with? Also, would either headphone (given that they share almost identical bass frequency response curves) benefit from an EQ to adequately raise bass? This is coming from a guy who loves bass in his music. Thanks!

I know it’s old post but maybe someone will be lurking here, EQ works terrible with them. I had them for 3 months and couldn’t tame them, 3 different softwares and many settings. Philips is way better deal.

It seems to be genuine. One of our staff bought a pair from Ali Express and it was the real one. Here is the link.

Any clue what have they changed with newer box which is white?

Soundstage is quite small, I had AKG 240 MK II, Superlux HD681 and those, all of the mentioned had much easier way of indicating where is what in games. They are good for casual music and movies but like Vanessa mentioned, Philips or I even would say Philips X2HR are better for this job.

I’m suprised that Philips X2HR didn’t appeared on the list. For 140$ seems like a best budget as upgrade step from superlux.

Would have been better to get HD 560s, I have both Hd 599 and ATH. 599 is way too warm and kinda muddy around 2-4Khz while ATH is pelling off pads way too quickly, ATH is way to tight on pinnacle, tested on me with big head and my gf with really small one.
