Brooks Glycerin Max

Nike Vomero Plus

The Brooks Glycerin Max and Nike Vomero Plus are two very different interpretations of a max cushioned shoe. The Brooks is higher stacked and heavier, so it doesn't feel nimble at all, but it does a better job of absorbing heavy impacts. The Nike has softer, bouncier ZoomX foam that gives far more energy return, so it feels better suited to uptempo efforts, but it doesn't hold up as well over long distances. If you're looking for a shoe for easy cruising and long runs, get the Brooks. If you want a shoe that's comfortable for easy runs, but can also handle some faster workouts, the Nike is the way to go.
